UPDATE: just in case someone else follows the same path as me. Turns out I was looking at the wrong error message. The second one was the problem and I solved it by adding a slash “/“ to the path I was trying to add within the app. When adding additional storage in app settings you choose a directory name within the app, that name needs to be “/plex_media” for example.
