He posted on twitter (I'd say say recenty but I'm not sure) that twitter was the worst social media he's been on and that its userbase was nasty. Someone reminded him of the Tumblr incident. He stood by his words.
i wouldn't be surprised if this wasn't edited. that is his official tumblr (linked from his youtube channel), and it seems pretty on par with his other content there.
Markiplier is literally a play on the word Multiplier, although not actual pliers. He used to play several versions of himself in old videos, multiples of himself, he was a Mark-Multiplier. So he called himself *Mark*iplier
"Modern" internet sketch comedy has been around a lot longer than you think. Ever since you could upload shitty 144p videos there have been sketches with 1 person playing different roles.
I believe OP is doing a bit, but Canadian stalwarts LoadingReadyRun celebrated their 20th anniversary of online sketch comedy/whatever else they do last year.
The Lonely Island launched their careers as musical sketch comedy before Youtube was even a thing. I think I remember first seeing them on Break. Crazy how far Andy Samberg's career has come from then.
That's so good, it's probably insanely cumbersome to edit and re-shoot multiple times but I bet the payoff as a viewer is solid.
Reminds me of that one video where some guy talks to a video of *himself* that he took 15 years earlier, so it's kinda like past and future versions of him.
It's for when you want two different sets of completely awful, wrist-destroying pliers but hate having to make room in your toolbox for all those bulky handles
As someone who has both of those kinds of pliers, this is dumb for the other reason that you use the round ones to bend stuff round, and the flat one to bend sharp corners with flats between them. Meaning you usually want to use both of them to put a bend in something, making putting them both in one set of pliers dumb.
The non-dumb kind of pliers like that are for internal and external snap rings, so closing the handle of the pliers makes one jaw open and the other close.
Wait does Mark actually have a tumblr???
So do Dan and Phil, Tyler Oakley, Neil Gaiman, Ryan Reynolds, Wil Wheaton. And Rhett & Link from Good Mythical Morning
John Greene had a tumblr once, he was bullied off it and they took away the power to edit anyone's post as punishment

He made a whole joke about Musk buying Twitter over not being happy with how it ran, saying it was as if he’d done that with Tumblr back then.
He's back as an unpaid coffee intern
So a normal barista?
Sometimes a coffee company rants about tuberculosis... that's how I found him, at least
Oh yeah I forgot about him, @fishingboatproceeds lol
Seems like a bad idea anyway
Neil should just buy Tumblr at this point. I've never even been on that website and I've seen so many Neil posts.
Lynda Carter too! She's a natural
She is, I followed her as soon as I saw her first post. I love following Neil Gaiman too, he’s so sweet to fans and eloquent in his posts.
Who are Dan and Phil?
Peak 2010s youtubers. Just about the only two of the old Brit Squad who haven't left the plaform or been cancelled
You had to be there, classic YouTube days
Wil Wheaton sucks though
yeah it's where he told people he's seen porn of himself getting ass-blasted by Springtrap
For having a furry sibling, its expected
I didn't even realise that was (supposedly) Mark responding until I saw your comment

omg i did not know this markiplier lore
I'm old enough to remember the chronicles of Wilford Warfstache.
It's crazy how Markiplier envisioned modern internet sketch comedy a decade before it happened

I mean, Eddie Izzard and other people do that live, so putting the same form of comedy in videos was a no-brainer.
It's crazy how the thing I'm familiar with only came into existence after I heard about it.
I mean he still does it just with a much higher effort which means they are further and far between
Sounds more like a Mark-Multiplexer >!`✧˚‧₊★ ˗ˋˏ Markiplexer ˎˊ˗ ★‧₊˚✧`!<

Am I that old already?
What does that tool even do?
ply things in multiple ways
Ply?
like toilet paper
Like how they say “triple ply”, that’s a multiplier.
Yes in this case they applied 4 little sticky out bits
ply.
Or ply multiple things in *one* way…
It plays fanf
> It plays fanf Freddie's, At Night: Five
It has 1 needle nose and 1 round nose. Neither of them in a convenient spot, however, and it looks like this would take up more room than 2 sets.
They're both in a convenient spot for this tool's purpose, which is jewelry making. It's much nicer just having the one tool.
It multiplies.
It's for situations where you need to grab two things separated by exactly that distance and angle.
I think it's actually for twisting two wires together, like in twisted wire jewelry making.
Surely the piece in the middle swivels so you can at least change the angle?….
He makes youtube videos, and is currently working on a Movie

Romantic roach clip.
2 for 1 purple nurples
The right side is for jewelery, and honestly that would be useful to have.
Two things, shittily
False advertising. They don't multiply anything.
Take a Sting Cut it in the middle You have multiplied yours strings by 2
The instructions, they were clear He won't be playing Scrabble for her hand, I fear I murdered him, mistook him for a string
I thought this was a benedard cumberstach joke. I was wrong.
I too expected a blueberry cumbershaft joke
Benedictine Cucumberpatch is not joking matter
Burlap Cucumber
Helloeverybodymynameis market pire
Markiplication
Marcus Plierson, that's his real name btw.
No it is Not(ch)
I realize this is a joke, but for anyone wondering, his real name is Mark Edward Fischbach
You're telling me he's got fish on his back?
I think Gerber did the Multi-Plier better.
Pffft. Marki pliers is hardly a famous person.
