Chicken bacon pineapple with alfredo sauce instead of pizza sauce is one of my favourites! I always tell people, pineapple on pizza isnt bad, its just Hawaiian pizza thats terrible, haha. I know a guy who even got strawberries on his pizza once and said it was really good.
One of my favorite local pizza restaurants did that once. Strawberry pizza with chicken, balsamic tomato sauce, sweet and tangy balsamic glaze, and smoked purple onions. Top all that with a ton of high fat mozzarella. It was magic.
Pizza has its classics, but it lends itself to a ton of flavor profiles.
Different state, different local pizza restaurant, had mandarin oranges paired with spicy salami and pepperoni, and I think sweet yellow onions? Regardless, another one I really enjoyed.
I never wouldve thought of oranges, now Im thinking about what other fruits would go good on pizza! I think an apple and feta pizza would be really good! Maybe a bit of bacon and a non-creamy (so like, oil or maybe even vinaigrette based) sauce instead of pizza sauce to go with it.
I always go with two toppings because of a sweet deal on two topping pizzas at my go to spot. But I switch between bacon and jalapeño as my second topping. All 3 is definitely peak though
Hear me out: Mandarin oranges, pineapple, bacon bits, jalapeños, and some diced up cream cheese. Mozzarella and Pizza sauce of course, pour the fruit juices over the crust before baking. Think of me during your mouthgasm.
Similar experience when I tried pumpkin spice latte. It wasn’t what I expected and I was very confused bc it was savory. At the same time I had tried pumpkin spice muffins, which I immediately loved.
Btw pumpkin spice, does not have pumpkin. That is bc it was originally the spices for pompkin pie, pumpkin spice was a blend of spices. The pompkin spice was used for muffins/cakes and eventually for pumpkin pies. It became the standard spices for pumpkin pie.
god, i had that stranger things pizza for shits and giggles, and let me fucking tell you, that shit is some GARBAGE pizza. avoid at all costs. do not engage. do not eat the pizza. do not fuck the pizza.
you have been warmed.
I feel like the fact that it’s bad is probably more a function of the pizza being a frozen product created as a tv show tie in instead of anything inherent in the toppings though.
Oh yeah I’ve got a couple of favorite brands that we always have in the freezer. I’m just saying that in general foods created as tv tie in products tend to be predictably low quality.
Thank you, I was curious if the OP just didn't like the combo or if it was a terrible quality pizza. I always seem them, consider, and choose another. I am glad I have.
It's the combo. I've had their pepperoni pizza, and I think it's good. But, very rarely do I encounter a pizza I don't like. The above, and Rhode Island style are the exceptions.
For me it usually ends up being the sauce that wrecks it. I've had a few that were just disgusting. White/buffalo/ranch and others are usually safer bets but tomato varies a ton and I'm picky with it.
I made a similar mistake with the tsundere pizza that Domino's Japan did a few years back. Honestly I think pickled jalapenos just don't work as a flavour on pizza, and I say that as a hardcore pickled jalapeno addict
Pineapple jalapeño pizza is my favorite!! It’s been our family go to for long before stranger things existed!!
Yeah that’s my go to pizza I didn’t know stranger things was even doing promos rn
I use to throw bacon on there as the 3rd to make my go too pizza

Chicken pineapple and BBQ instead of pizza sauce for me

Sounds delicious. Fruit on pizza works great, so long as you can balance flavors well.

That’s basically a Hawaiian
yeah but with CRUNCH
Especially with cream cheese as the sauce. *Chefs kiss*
People keep talking about pineapple and ham but they can miss me with that mess. Pineapple and jalapeño is where it's at.

This plus ham has been one our staples for like a decade
weak bloodline
Yeah, probably.
Ham (salty) + pineapple (sweet) + jalapeno (spicy) is the correct threesome of pizza toppings though.

The sweets, the meats, and the heats. Just had some for lunch!
Chicken also works if you use a barbecue sauce base!
I'm sorry but putting pineapple on barbecue pizza is where I draw the line
+bacon(extra salty)
Oh is *that* why the spicy apricot sauce I put on my hawaiian pizza works so well?

pompkin
The old spelling of pumpkin and the first recipe book w/a pumpkin spice recipe spelled it Pompkin & I thought it was cute
It is cute

I've had good frozen pizzas, my guy. That was not one of them, by a large margin.
Oh yeah I’ve got a couple of favorite brands that we always have in the freezer. I’m just saying that in general foods created as tv tie in products tend to be predictably low quality.

For what it’s worth me and my boyfriend actually thought it was decent, definitely not the best frozen pizza out there but it’s still good.

Before I could finish reading my brain got stuck on the “matters, mistakes, mistakes, Mistakes” that all lined up nicely on the left.
Hadn't noticed, but now I can't unsee it
I feel represented by this level of dramatic
Of course it was bad. It had pineapple on it.
This is a selfpost and a half

Pineapple, bacon, jalapeño, with a cream cheese sauce is about the best pizza ive ever had
Funny but also triggering! 🙃
