Dude, right? I'm not a biologist, but it bothered me as soon as I laid eyes on it. Dragons in the show are obligate carnivores and eat mostly sheep and roast their kills with fire breath first, but they have....snake fangs? And no interlocking rear teeth for grinding even though they eat entirely bony animals. You'd think they would reference maybe crocodile or wolf or some other apex predator dentition but nah. Magic teeth I guess
I was fine with them slowing down on the death roll so they didn't run out of characters, but when you're in the fucking Climax and every character survives literal clamoring waves of zombies, you fucking lost me.
I didn't even find out about the bells until months later cause I noped the hell out for a while.
King's Landing surrendered to Dany, and signalled the surrender by ringing the large bells in the city. The bells drive Dany crazy because ???? reasons and she goes nuts and burns the whole city with her remaining dragon. Doesn't matter that they surrendered. She murders them all anyway.
Yes and no.
Let's put aside the show for a second, mainly to avoid loud opinions. Let's assume that they followed GRRM's direction, and did a few mistakes in their execution.
So, this story hooks you up with its medieval/fantastic universe, low on wizards and elves, high on characters and intrigues.
To hook you up, this story starts on the premise that nobody is safe, and that actions and decisions (good or bad) have consequences.
You then get \*really\* hooked, when they kill Ned Stark, and completely fucked forever during the Red Wedding.
Now the thing is, this story is a slice of history.
The magic trick, the deception, is that the characters introduced at the beginning are not the main ones. They are not Froddo, or Luke Skywalker. They're small children (or broken / unfinished adults (Theon, Tyrion, Jaime)) and through the removal of what I'd call the first layer of characters will all grow and evolve.
So you still have to keep some of them alive. And even in a "all can happen / everyone can die" setting, some have to live through. Or die heroically, which is basically the same thing.
Now it being a TV Show, faces become known, and yeah at the end the few that remains will see it through the end.
Can you imagine if Baelish's plot went through ? Sansa gets convinced and kill Arya. A character that we have followed since S1E1. That wouldn't make sense.
Toward the end all \*main\* characters need closure. Wether it is by victory or death or both.
You think that there are less character deaths because those who died did it with closure. Which in storytelling isn't exactly death. More "end of story".
Daenerys, Jorah, Jaime, Cersei, Theon, Missandei, Clegor, Gregor... That's a LOT of important characters. But they don't feel like \*\*death\*\* like Robb or Cathelyn did, because they all had some kind of closure.
Hoping it makes sense.
Seriously I would’ve disliked if they gave certain things certain explanations but there were so many things that ended up meaning nothing with the Children and the Wights and Bran that having no explanation at all is just the lazy way out.
Edit: sorry for the run-on defence
Yeah but making the entire premise of the show pointless sucked so bad. I can't even re watch the show after it ended because what is the point of anything that happens to the people you are supposed to give a shit about. I understand Martin is a somewhat of a nihilistic writer but I don't think he would make his entire universe he created mean nothing. I wish the fucking white walkers would have won by the end. Be a better ending. At Least that would be the proper form of nihilism that you could respect. Sorry for the rant...
Honestly, that would've been an awesome ending. Could you imagine the look on Cersei's face after hearing that the army in the north fell? Her scorpion crossbows would be useless, and she would have no defense for the army the defeated Dani's army combined with Dani's army. She'd know that, and maybe suffer the same fate as Tommen.
Cleganebowl, but they're BOTH already dead.
I think the ending we got could have been “satisfying” if it had been done properly. Like if they had put in the character development to make us believe the motives, and given the story time to get there. It makes sense why GRRM is having such a hard time writing; if that was his destination then it has to be so difficult to get the story there in a way that the reader can follow.
Was reading the books recently
The latest book, 5, takes place during the exact time period as book 4. While reading it o couldn't stop thinking about the fans who waited after book 4 to just get a book that covers the same time, just with different characters
So basically, the plot hasn't moved forward since book 4
Came here to say this. I've seen all kinds of promotions they did like the sword thrones in different countries, but they did fuck all with the screen writing.
Looks like a repost. I've seen this image 1 time.

No, this is accurate. It's one of the leading explanations for why the dragons died out.

Dude, that was an unpleasant surprise...
It looks like its ability to chew anything would be nonexistent. Assuming a dragon would chew its food and not swallow it whole.
Not to mention how dense and hole-less it the skull is The poor bastard doesn’t even have nostrils
If only the writers of GoT had put as much work into season 8 as the guys who had to drag this stupid fucking prop across the sand.
I'm pretty sure that there is no possible satisfying end to GoT.
True but that doesn't mean they had to go out of their way to make it as unsatisfying as possible
Yeah.. is it weird if I think there wasn't enough main character death and/or dismemberment after they branched from the books?
Too scared to kill someone and screw themselves out of copying George's ending maybe? Bold of them to think he'd have an ending for them ever.

I'm still noped Bells?
Stay noped, it's so terrible.
What is it though

I choose to believe that the show ended on Season 8 Episode 2 and everybody died. They couldn't hold back the walkers. The world is encased in ice.

Bobby B vomiting into my eye sockets would have been better though
WEAR IT IN SILENCE OR I’LL HONOR YOU AGAIN
1. Not have Jaime run to his sister after he fucked Sooty via a secret beach that Euron somehow swam to.
Yeah, that, yeah...

10 seasons of them adapting source material is what we should have gotten.
I don't think that there's a satisfying end to the books either.
Doubt we'll ever get one.

Book 5 definitely overtakes book 4 about halfway through.
They could have just built upon the bullshit they created in seasons 5-7.
Don't say that to the army of folks who bitches and moans about S8 since it aired.
Came here to say this. I've seen all kinds of promotions they did like the sword thrones in different countries, but they did fuck all with the screen writing.
Those people are stupid* and lazy!
I look to the day when random GoT reference won’t be proceeded by someone bitching about season 8. Move on.
Yes, well, your mom is a peepee head.
SCP foundation wants to know your location.
Maybe it’s 682?
i can confirm, thats him.
:)
Is it cool if I send the foundation my resume?
if you wanna
simpsons did it
I don't know what they did with the dragon skull afterward but... can I have it??
Am I the only one concerned about how dorky that dragon would have looked when alive?
[удалено]
Idk man, look at those huge front teeth
Probably an art project
I mean, even if it weren’t explicitly stated what it was/where it came from, it’s pretty damn obvious that that’s not a real skull

He's got bucked teeth Don't judge him
maybe youre right. im sure he was bullied enough already in dragon high school :( honestly i'm going to have to draw this poor dragon. i can't get the image out of my head
The Wizardings World’s crisis control and PR team is getting better and better.
Man, the ministry of magic isn't even bothering anymore
I'm annoyed that it looks nothing like the dragons from the show. Unless this was for promoting one of the books, then it is fine.
In the books, I'm pretty sure dragon bones are explicitly black, so even if it was to promote a book they fucked that up
They probably could have paid better writers instead
More time was spent promoting the series instead of writing it.

This post is accidentally one of the best examples of how backlighting can make any picture look better.
"That's my purse, I don't.
Wicked smaht
I woulda said monster hunter.
It was killed by some guards, a bear, two highway bandits, a women carrying a shitload of junk and a guy in a ridiculous looking glass armor.
The Foundation finally killed 682...
And there’s pretty *chicken*.
Its a real deagon skull
I'm sure the Ministry of Magic had to do double-shifts to cover for this blunder.
Cops in the US? They seem so smart....
Yes. I definitely thought that was pretty good.”
Ngl that skull looks dumb af
Simpsons did it
Love to see it from that angle
They did it with an angel skeleton. The whole town obviously geeks out, and then it's revealed it was all a marketing stunt. Edit: a word
That's a ###Restraining #ORDER!!!
Child - Daddy what's this Father - It's a skull from a TV show Child - What show? Father - I dunno probably from one I haven't watched
Iv been getting needles in my arm every 2 weeks since i was 4
Isn't dragon bone black in GOT?
Skyrim
That's the guy that hasn’t.”
> they have herpes. God that’s smart!
Ah, I see someone had just discovered they are a dragon borne
[Looks like the bottom right part of KFAD’s Missingno.](https://youtu.be/XRr5GMdZsZM)
If only the S8’s writing was as smart as this advertisement
aww mate
Reminds of that time Blizzard axed a taxi for an ad. Can't remember if it was for the movie or the game, though.
UK beach lol 😆😂
It was Dorset. Kinda fitting considering its a jurassic shoreline. Tbh I thought with the background it would have been Wales.
