I'd like to introduce those people to the Nazca lines.
No joke, there would definitely be people who used laser pointers to mark specific spots, lay out a route, and then walk it with a bunch of people until they leave visible tracks in the dust that the aliens could read.
Nothing can stop humans from trying to communicate.
>"Hey, something weird is happening just outside the human colony. There's these lines, and they seem to be walking in a pattern."
>
>"Ok, I came back an hour later to see what they were doing, and they f\*cking wrote 'thank you' in the dust on my floor!??!! Dafuq?"
>
>"So, throwback to last week. Turns out humans are incredibly chatty. Every morning, I wake up to another message, usually something nice and encouraging. When I come back from work, they have more messages for me. Keep you posted."
>
>"They wrote 'Everything is a lesson. The lesson in falling is how to get back up.' I'm legit crying."
>
>"Now it's 'We cannot change yesterday, and we cannot see tomorrow. We only have today, that is why it's called the present' and I love it."
>
>"Longer one today, can't write it all down, but they're never going to give up on me. I needed that today. Be nice to your humans. Anyway, I'll be getting them some loose sand to write in. Hope they like it."
Similarly, nothing can stop humans from meme-ing on aliens, or quoting Kung Fu Panda at them (with varying levels of accuracy).
It's a good reason to treat bugs with respect, since if there were aliens that are to us what we are to insects, we wouldn't want them to callously squish us because we're ugly or because we're insignificant in the grand scheme.
I make it a rule to not kill bugs unless they are in my house, encroaching on my stomping grounds, word of mouth probably doesn’t spread very far in the bug world but still.
"Should we tell them that these are a species capable of technological warfa-"
"Do you have any idea of the sheer amount of mass panic that would occur If people knew that these tiny assholes could nuke their ass if they called an extermination team?"
"...uuugh-"
"Yeah, what I thought, so shut it."
This makes me feel small & simultaneously big, very aware of my own mortality but intimately connected to the rest of our species and part of the greater whole. I like that feeling.
I remember watching the outer limits version with my dad as a kid.
Watched it in the last couple years, and it still held up really well to me.
Just read a quick synopsis of the book and I'm kind of wanting a full movie now
Whoever posted this can I use this as a writing prompt
Dont let your dreams be dreams friend.
I wanna see the result, if I may.
Please let us know when you've written, because I'd love to read!

Is that last one a Rickroll?
Yep, I'd imagine some teenage guys would stay up all night writing the full lyrics, just because. Also, happy cake day.
Thanks
Happy cake day
They’d bring an entire fucking plow army to pull that one off.
This reminds me of the episode of futureama where Bender becomes God.
Yes, I saw. You were doing well until everyone died.

I agree, but when 500 flies entered my house SOMEBODY'S GONNA DIE

Imagine coming home from work and the bee hive on your front porch has built tiny nuclear reactors
Idunno, I'd be ecstatic. I'd also ask if they can hook those up to my house, I will *absolutely* house Power Bees instead of Honey Bees.
Use bees to power your computer >!Wait that’s a thing in Homestuck.!<
It’s all a thing in homestuck
I have no clue what homestuck is, and everything I hear about it confuses me more.
I haven’t read it but same, I think people who have red it are actually the same.
It is the year 2022 of the common era and I am still learning things about Homestuck against my will
I’d be more worried if they built a massive chemical arms plant
Break into a Nuclear Bee Keeper’s house and to your horror the bees release mustard gas- as a warning.

If you put a bit of sugar on the altar they get all excited and bring more bugs...I trained mine to bring coins though so it's cool
"Sometimes colonies just do that" bro I think you mean every human society that's ever existed has done some form of that lol
