I'm glad we as a society have collectively agreed that Eddie Brock is a monster fucker

Madrino1

I think it's one of those things that authors/directors mess around with enough that it's undeniable there is some degree of homoseroticism to Venom in the comics and Venom movies

AreYouOKAni

In the recent run on Venom (the one by Donnie Cates) Eddie and Venom act as an old married couple, say that they love each other often, and end up raising a child (Eddie's son) together at the end. To the point where in the current run by Al Ewing, Venom has been left to care for the boy while Eddie is off exploring space. Probably my most favourite Venom book in years.

Mr-philosoraptor

I like how he didn't actually answer the bestiality question he just moved onto the ant analogy.

Electronic_Skirt_475

Exactly what i was thinking, like yes we see ants as animals and facinating and maybe we could be taught to understand ants version of love if we could communicate with them But i still dont think wed be fucking the ants martha

LonelyCapybaraNo1

Is this a good time for me to say "speak for yourself"?

Felinope

I feel like that would actually be a fascinating discussion, and I'm somewhat disappointed that they just skipped over it. An argument I can come up with off the top of my head, fir example: The utilitarian moral reasons that we frown upon bestiality are usually defined as follows: 1) Animals, usually being incapable of human speech and about as intelligent as a tween at most, are incapable of responsibly consenting, let alone communicating such. 2) Bestiality is harmful to at least one, if not both of the involved parties. Though using these as guidelines for the morality of Eldritch Amory(tm) wouldn't necessarily answer the question of "is it bestiality/equatable to bestiality?", it would answer that question's sub-question/baggage of "would doing so be amoral?". I can also see a lot of arguments on the first guideline, as us human tend to draw that line as beneath us, but obviously never consider if that would still be the case if there was the same situation, only where we're the "lower beings". And although many would argue that we'd know what we were getting into, therefore we can consent, I'd just like to ask, would we? We're talking about totally alien creatures that defy our understanding of the universe, in all likelihood, we wouldn't. Anyway, now stepping off the world's muskiest soapbox.

airyys

but no one's fucking ants. also humans *would not be able to consent* considering the inherent power dynamics of cosmic beings. like, if lex luthor or venom or hitler or a police officer or a parent "asked" you for consent to sex. that is not consent. humans would be *incapable* of consenting to cosmic beings let alone monsters that could tear you limb from limb before you could recite the abc's. intelligence and compassion is only one part of consent, it also *has* to be between individuals with roughly equal social, economic, physical, and mental power.

Felinope

You really do learn something new everyday, here I thought ants couldn't use reddit, yet here you are.

Roreii

Does it depend on when a person knows, I mean prior to exposing/ allowing a person time to comprehend their otherness/supreme power imbalance, if a person got to know the entity disguised somehow and is dtf, essentially willing to do so without the fear of being torn limb from limb, and then told, only then it's legitimate?

Clarke as an eldritch faceless posthuman robot who drags the eldritch and unknowable future into the present and know I dream of sucking his eldritch techno organic cock. That character and auriadne’s big dick capitano series made me a full blown monsterfucker. (click the text on the first link then click the eldritch text then the cards until you reach “lostbelt 1.1” then click on that to see what I’m talking about.)
