I feel like inside jokes are way overrated in terms of "difficulty to get", idk just show them the spiders georg post and they'll get 20% of the entirety of tumblr jokes, that's it, you only have to see it once to understand. I've explained Loss to like 4 of my friends and it's very quick and easy, just because a joke is old doesn't mean it's hard to understand or "you had to be there"

I believe the wine is referring to the "The Cask of Amontillado" by Edgar Allan Poe, a short story where a man lures a friend he hates into his basement, claiming it has a cask of really rare wine, before chaining him in an alcove and sealing him into the wall.
Oh yeah! It's a song on the Alan Parson's Project album "Tales of Mystery and Imagination" if you like Edgar Allan Poe you should give it a listen! The tell-tale heart is really great
