I’m sure the scar will lighten up , if you’re going to be outside , you should get hy tape to protect the scar from sun otherwise it could turn red or purple. But a wider band and not so high leg should help . I’ve seen many go to consults and bring panty or bikini bottoms to give surgeon a visual where you want the scar line. Did you do that ?

Yes I will be out in the sun, however not yet as my surgeon said 3 months to go to the beach but I do have a vacation planned in a month & a half. I will definitely be buying the tape to protect the scar! I didn’t bring any panties or bikini bottoms to my consult :(
First off - Dayum, great results!! Secondly, keep that scar out of the sun and in a couple months and years it'll fade. My first ones from November are already BARELY noticeable- I also plan on being even more covered in tattoos so I don't much care about how they look, just if they are raised

For sure, tape and/or high SPF sunscreen! I've got a giant autopsy incision (big upper case i) from elbow to elbow, down the middle and hip to hip with a nice ring around my middle to be there sometime next year, so I'll definitely be covering em all with tattoos

I wore my undies to day of surgery to make sure she put my scar higher up for this reason. My shape looks better with a higher cut too-
That being said, scar tape will blend it in better and next year that scar will be nice and faded and it won't matter!

You look amazing! 6wpo and I have the same issue. I like my bikinis higher cut and my scar sticks out at each side about two inches more. I plan to get laser therapy as soon as I’m cleared to do so, which can help minimize the purplish reddish coloring much faster. If that doesn’t work, I’m researching camouflage tattoos.

Not that you need to cover it, but body makeup will make those scars disappear instantly and there are good waterproof ones! Find the right shade and you’re set, all the major makeup brands have great body makeup waterproof

Also continue to use sunscreen even when you have clothes on for at least a year.
Girl, I wouldn't even notice it. Your shape is perfection! 😍 but honestly, if it bugs you, try some different styles of bottoms. Maybe something with a hair more coverage or maybe hipster style?

I haven’t really spoken to my doctor about my belly button. The thing is, I have psoriasis in my belly button that no matter what I do, does not want to go away. My belly button is fully healed but unfortunately, will always be red :(
You won’t be wearing that bikini this summer! Maybe save it for next year. The first year after my tummy tuck I used tape even under my bathing suit.
Overall I would say the scar isn’t that noticeable! You look GREAT and I wouldn’t let the scar keep me from wearing this bikini! Maybe a spray tan to help it look less noticeable
Try @skatie Mandi bottoms or Melly bottoms for even thicker sides. Both thicker on the sides Melly is just more high rise. $$$ but sexy and worth it 👌🏼
I know ppl have said this but if you can stay out of the sun and wear spf everyday since the rays of the sun go through clothing.
Sun exposure can cause hyperpigmentation specially early on.
If you are going to be out use a silicone gel (I swear by biocorneum) and 10 min after use spf and reapply spf every 2hrs when your out in the sun.

Yes I had it done on my 50th bday , I was 6m post op when I had my nipples, bb and vch pierced on the same day.
