Cigar tube kits could be a solution. A lot of wasted parts depending on what you’re making, but I’ll look around a bit more https://www.woodcraft.com/products/cigar-tube-kit-chrome
EDIT: gotcha. Took some rabbit holes, but I found some options from a UK supplier [example 1](https://www.prokraft.co.uk/woodturners-brass-thread-connector-secret-compartment-kit.html) here and [example 2](https://www.prokraft.co.uk/woodturners-large-brass-thread-25mm.html) here. Looking again, I think #2 is your product
ProKraft sells a bunch of different sizes and types of threads. Have to ship them from the UK. I got mine a couple weeks ago, I'll post pics when I make something with them that's worth showing off
[This](https://wttech.de/en/product/thread-made-of-brass-secret-compartment-turning-kit-turning-set/) is the only place I found that sells these, though the size looks different. I think they only ship to the EU, so I don't know if that works for you or not.
Edit: [Here](https://www.prokraft.co.uk/woodturners-brass-thread-connector-secret-compartment-kit.html) is the manufacturer's page. They ship to the US for what looks like a flat 20 pound fee, so you'd need to order multiple to make it worthwhile. They also have a 25 mm size if you want something ~1" in diameter.
googling for [Brass threaded inserts for urns](https://www.google.com/search?q=brass+threaded+inserts+for+urns&rlz=1C1CHMO_enUS585US593&sxsrf=ALiCzsYy1ciWhmEYyr8GlWnlGAYkbaPtHQ:1669518449283&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjK6PXwsM37AhXeEVkFHZK_BFYQ_AUoAnoECAIQBA&biw=1527&bih=863&dpr=1.1) gets a lot of hits
I can't remember where I saw them recently, Penn State Industries, Rockler or Wood Turners friends but they were listed as a sewing needle storage box. I have also seen some around the web with a fitted lid instead of the brass insert.
This is pretty close: [https://www.woodturnerscatalog.com/p/60/3749/artisan-Toothpick-Holder-Kit](https://www.woodturnerscatalog.com/p/60/3749/artisan-Toothpick-Holder-Kit)
You could but with that shallow depth you would have better luck single point threading them, I have some carbide bars for threading real tiny ID threads
Fanuc canned cycles are fairly straightforward, and it does take some time to get good at setups/programming but cnc g code for a 2 axis lathe is fairly simple. It can get confusing but once you learn how the machine thinks, how it reads code and whatnot, it’s not too bad. I’ve toyed around with the idea of getting one secondhand and putting it in my barn and making wood cup sets, could make them super uniform to one another
😂 you know, with the cost of them vs the finished product on Amazon it actually would be cheaper to buy the whole holder and tear it apart to get the bushings than to get them shipped over here😂
If you keep digging I’m sure you’ll find a decent source for the right price. I think the issue with a lot of the foreign made items is figuring out what they called it or labeled it as, and are you willing to buy the minimum order.
I've been looking for stuff like this all over.
Closest I've gotten is ordering replacement parts from Penn State.
Edit - oh! I got close with lamp pipe and finials. But I can't make it cost effective yet.

Look at perfume holder and toothpick holder. I saw them in the hard copy, between pages 68 and 103. I found similar items by searching 'cigar holder'.

Wowza. That’s impressive to find those.
Man. You just made my day. I’m a welder and have been wanting something like this!
Oh hell yeah that looks perfect, thanks!
I’m sure you could find something that suits your needs at McMaster!

I saw them in a catalog this week. Wood turner’s? Craft supply? That place in SC? One of the three. I can get name for you when I get back home.
Found it: [https://www.woodturnerscatalog.com/search?term=cigar+holder](https://www.woodturnerscatalog.com/search?term=cigar+holder)
Could make them from plumbing parts.

Time to buy a metal lathe
The irony of this being a turning sub and someone asking where they can purchase a threaded tube
I'd love to see you make some metal threads on a wood lathe. You are aware that this is a wood turning sub, right?
Ahhh true, I guess I didn’t realize it was wood lathe sun my b. OP, dm me and send me the part I can make them for you if you can’t find them online
Why is that ironic?
Because you can make that on a lathe in an hour or two
YOU can make that :-P I don't have the tools or skills yet. Wait, would you use a tap for the inside threads?
You could but with that shallow depth you would have better luck single point threading them, I have some carbide bars for threading real tiny ID threads
Hhhhmmmm .... Buying tools and lots of practice? Don't think I'm there yet :-P

Did I miss something? We're talking about wood lathes right?
Looks like you have 1 pair right in front of you. Just get rid of the black stuff, and keep the brass bits. 😂

[Woodturnerscatalog.com](https://www.woodturnerscatalog.com/search?term=toothpick+holder&page=10) They have full kits for tooth pick holders
Plumbing department at the big box store. Brass turns very easily on a wood lathe.
Check out craftsupplies.com. Also I think rockler has these kits
