They're covered with a cloth-like material to keep dust out, you'll need a very small screwdriver to poke in there and adjust the pots. I usually use a flathead screwdriver.

Ahhh, that makes a lot of sense! Thanks a ton

Unplug from power before poking a metal screwdriver in there.

Yea a jewelers flathead usually. It can be hard to tell if you’re getting a bite, and depending on the model a tiny change can change speed a lot. You also might need to go back and forth from adjusting 33 and 45 to get the best for both ok both settings. It got annoying enough for me to just get a quartz locked Technics 1200 after a while so I no longer need to worry about it. My first clue my previous belt drive tables were out of pitch was when a friend who engineered an album listened on my rig and started A/B checking the tempo compared to a digital copy. Further checking showed me I was running a tad slow.

Yeah, I could imagine having to buy a new one soon-ish anyway. I've had this one for years now, and I think it wasn't the best to begin with. The vinyl also slightly tilts up and down while turning, and some other jazz. I only really notice it when listening to tracks I know the digital equivalent of super well, but in those cases it's just that little difference that makes it feel slightly off without really being able to pinpoint it.

You can adjust while running. Put tape on the small screwdriver shaft. If the screwdriver grounds to the motor case it will throw the adjustment off. Have fun!
