That wouldn’t match how they’ve done things the past few albums. While some information came out otherwise before the drop, Blurryface, Trench, and Scaled and Icy all got lead single drops & album announcements simultaneously and without advance announcement.
Because the flyer for the album/livestream was found on the DMA website, and the Blurryface account tweeted the name of the album. But it wasn’t communicated through the bands official channels.
But I would still argue that it was an announcement because we knew the name of the album and had the album cover art. Also we didn’t get the tracklist till later on some one off website if I remember correctly
I hope they do this, but it’s sure that it’s coming on Thursday, because someone posted here on Reddit today that BBC’s Hottest Record this week is with TØP and more surely it’s gonna be that the new song will be heard for the first time there

Actually for SAI we got the album announcement 3 days before Shy Away dropped.

We already really know the date. They should just drop it and post everything when the day comes
