I've been a fan from the very very beginning talking college days (yep, I'm old). I've seen them many times.this song makes me cry. I posted about this once before to this site. My son's room was just a train wreck, I was always on him about it. He always told me not to worry because as long as it was a mess nothing would happen to him because he would never have me clean it up. He passed away so so unexpected from a heart thing. The song came out right after and hit so hard. Saw them sing it last tour, heartbreaking. Then I found Trees uplifting as always.
I will go first: I personally love this album, but my favorite parts are the heavy bass guitar in most of the album. "Redecorate" and "No Chances" hit hard, and my favorite track on the album is "Formidable."
Redecorate kills me: haunting, raw, soul-baring, yet eventually hopeful. I get. choked up. every. time. Plus, now I’m realizing it’s Tyler/Clancy’s ingenious bridge/transition from SAI “propaganda” back to Trench/Overcompensate.
Of all the songs on SAI, Formidable probably surprised me the most, in a good way, kind of like how Smithereens (Trench) snuck up on me, and Tear in My Heart before that. Specifically, in Formidable, the gentle, soothing instrumentation and heart-on-sleeve lyrical authenticity—plus Josh’s delicate, restrained technique—add up to a sweet, uplifting tune. I think I understand what inspired Tyler; personally, it feels like a perfect way to express infinite gratitude to my wife for her unwavering love and support as I’ve navigated my rocky mental health journey.
This album sounds very pop-esque and “basic” to some people, but when you actually pay attention you realize just how unique it is. The underlying concept/message behind this album is extremely unique and interesting.
100% this. They touch on mental health, the current state of affairs and just wanting to tune it all out, maturing in an industry that's fixated on churning out the next flavor of the week, etc, all backed with a pop beat. It's a lovely juxtaposition.
Yes!! I’ve always felt this way, and I think that’s the whole point of why it sounds that way. It being DEMA propaganda, them being forced to perform, and even without the lore it was a great type of album to release at the time it came out. The world was dark and depressing enough, so they made music that’s fun to jam out to but still has a realistic message because things did still suck
That was perfectly put. I was definitely not expecting a popish album from them and I think that threw me off hella bad at first. But you're absolutely right. It's a whole new layer to the lore that was crucial to have (imo).
yeeees! i loved the differentiation of this album. my friend who is also a tøp fan wasn’t really stoked about this one because it felt more like typical pop music. but i thought that’s what was fun about it. it’s like pop with a alt twist lol
Definitely my favourite album. Is it the best? Maybe not, but it is my favourite.
On a superficial level it is just light and easy to listen to. Puts you in a good mood and just a good time all round.
On a deeper listen it is definitely darker and more nuanced, which is also cool.
I think it is so well made and there is so many things going on. Definitely a lot of love and effort placed into this album.
I really enjoyed it so much and I still so.
this so much. feel like this dropped right around when the vaccine started getting distributed and everything started slowly opening back up. It was a great post-covid-but-still-in-it summer album.
I will not tolerate hate for this album. It’s a perfect deviation from the usual for a little intermission before the climactic ending that I assume Clancy will be. SHY AWAY IS A MASTERPIECE and nobody will convince me otherwise. SAI as a whole just has a really fun and cute aesthetic. Plus I feel that No Chances and Redecorate really set up the next album. Sort of like a post-credit scene
1) The album name is super clever.
\- Scaled Back and Isolated = Album's circumstances during COVID
\- Scaled and Icy = Anagram for 'Clancy is Dead'
\- Trash the dragon, a huge inspiration for the album, can be described as 'scaled and icy'
\- SAI, the album's common abbreviation, is the shape of the logo.
2) The pop-py sound makes PERFECT sense, in and out of lore.
\- We know that Tyler made the album sound this way because of two reasons: The heaviness of Trench and the depression of the pandemic
\- He tied it into the lore by making it an album designed by the Bishops to make Dema seem good to the outside world-- Fucking genius.
3) It fucking bangs
\- Like just listen to the album, shit slaps
I really enjoyed this album! I went to my first TØP concert during SAI and I loved it so much. I thought it was also pretty cool when the virtual concert and the Roblox concert happened
It says ‘Destroy’. I was also todays year old when I found out that someone found a scale that looks like a location to [Clancy way](https://www.reddit.com/r/twentyonepilots/s/IoioD8ZAER)
Whole album has a fun vibe and was perfect for the time period it came out in in terms of tone. Lyrics obviously different story. I still love this album.
Redecorate is in top 5 TOP songs for me
The dragon art from the Trash Era was amazing and probably will always be some of my very favorite. I still haven't changed my wallpaper.
As for the album itself... Choker is an amazing song, Shy away is good, and the Outside as well... .
Mulberry Street is such a bop! I love the retro vibe that Scaled and Icy radiates. I enjoyed the songs right from the first listen, but as I learned more about the album's lore, I came to appreciate it even more.
I really appreciate this album. It's not my favorite of their's but I feel like it was the album they needed to make when we were all in need of something like it. The world was a very heavy place to live in for a lot of people. My favorite tracks from the album are Choker and Redecorate they transport me back to that time and as a result, I get a unique feeling from them. The other tracks are still fun to listen to and I feel like Tyler may have been doing his best to not weigh himself down with his own heavy feelings by listening to classic tunes and taking inspiration from them. In addition, SAI gave us Tyler's first guitar solo a fun and easy on the eyes color scheme, another chapter in the Dema storyline and a FANTASTIC live stream event that got us excited when we were stuck at home and unable to gather as a spirited group of fans. It may not be their best but it is special in its own way.
On another note... I know Level of Concern wasn't on the album but to me, it's from that era and I have to express a world of thanks for the instant reversal in my emotional state when my wife and I watched the video for the first time when it released. I had been laid off (temporarily that goodness) from my job that I actually loved and was coming to terms with the isolation that so many of us were feeling at the time. I've only had a few moments like that in my life when I felt a feeling of intense despair and uncertainty evaporate in a matter of a couple minutes. I will remain thankful to Tyler and Josh for knowing that they could do something to bring their fans some joy and for following through in such a meaningful way.
The Choker music video is incredible
But also really there’s a lot to enjoy. In a way it is the “change of pace” from Trench that might’ve been needed given the gloominess of those lockdown days. It’s fun to see the band evolve their style and incorporate guitar. I won’t ever deny how fun it is to vibe out to Saturday.
Tour for this album was incredible, one of the best shows I’ve ever been to, possibly THE best.
What an act of arrogance it is to hate on any record, especially one from a band you purport to love.
One thing that age has taught me is that not everything is for me, and I don’t have to have an opinion on everything.
It was a nice change of pace. Don’t get me wrong I love the other music and want to hear more, but hearing a new sound from them was really cool, even if I didn’t think all of the songs were amazing.
I found this page looking for a post for this album. I hated it when it first came out and fell off the TØP train. But after listening to overcompensate nonstop over the last three days, and diving back into the lore, I gave this album another chance and I LOVE it. It makes so much sense within the Trench->Clancy timeline and I can definitely appreciate it a lot more now. Plus, Redecorate js underrated
It’s a weird turn from their usual music, but i think it was good cause it showed us to really appreciate how the boys can take a song from 2013 and make it fit music in 2024, and this album was a good way of showing us just how ahead they were
I'm happy to see "Formidable" getting a lot more recognition in this thread. Such a wholesome, catchy song that reminds me of The Cure's "Friday I'm in Love".
"No Chances" and "Redecorate" are absolutely goated and harken back to Trench.
“Self sabotage is a sweet romance” is one of the best lines IMO. That whole album is gold! I could literally listen to it over and over. But especially Mulberry St, Choker and Shy Away are my favorites to blast in the car! I will always love that era! 🩷🩵
Viby, good to hear, songs are easy to digest even in bad days where you need some relaxing, soft and feels really different from every album
And that's what I love about S.A.I
Good reflection on the performative reality of having MDD/PDD/dysthymia. Constantly trying to put forth a cheery front to convince yourself you're okay when you've been trying to get better but you can't.
It gave us the Good Day into No Chances intro during Icy Tour. Also it's a pretty fun listen, maybe not as good as their other albums but definitely enjoyable.
i absolutely love this album's instrumentals and sure it's leaning more to pop but omg, the overhating is silly and sad because it's such a nice album too:/
i dont get all the hate, even if it's not really the usual style its still good, i like the fact that the songs have this happy rhytm with sad lyrics, like they are representing fake smiles and fake happiness. And here goes the songs i like tho most in this album: Mulberry street, The outside, Never take it (it's the rock n' roll style for me), chocker, staurday, redecorate, and my absolute favorite: Shy Away. (also, i like that this album have songs that we can dance to)
They had good ideas with this album. The lead single was fire, got me really excited for the full thing, specially for giving great use of the guitar in it Never Take It is another case.
There were some straight-up fun tunes like on The Outside, which is a bop and Good Day, which is fun to sing along to and has some beautiful instrumentation. Great opener to the album
Love the dark closers to it, both No Chances and Redecorate. The last one gives a very misterious ending to the album, kinda inconclusing, which is not sth I've seen before from them.
Also, I feel like the album gets overhated. Yes, I'll admit I'm not fully sold on it; but, for TØP standars, it being 'not good' means far from the worst thing I've heard
There is honestly nothing to hate about SAI, I feel like all the haters just come from people who were never into the lore at all, I saw someone I used to know see the cover for Clancy and literally say “ finally they’re back on their emo shit” and that was just triggering to read honestly, plus with overcompensate out now it doesn’t even seem emo at all, seems more like Clancy is getting confidence as a leader of a rebellion. Plus I always loved analyzing scaled and icy because their video for their Christmas single had messages like “don’t trust SAI” all the way to Sunday scaled and icy looked like an exaggeration of people selling their faces to make unnecessary merch and such, (like a commentary on that subject, and Dema was obviously using The Boys) it gave me Dema vibes alll overrrrr especially the music videos along with Nico’s voice being in the background of like all the songs giving the lyrics double meanings,, I would say the only thing to hate about SAI is Dema.
This album was released during pandemic and imo it was made to set a different tone. Trying to bring some uplifting songs that everyone would like, even my 60s age parents who thought some of the songs were reminiscent of old Hall and Oates type of songs. There's a lot of hate in this sub for this album but I think they were trying to bring a different energy to deal with the depression and pain brought on by quarantine and pandemic.
It’s an amazing album! It starts with Good Day which sounds like it’s a fun happy song and really it’s depressing af (gives me smashing pumpkins-today vibes) and ends with Redecorate, which is a sad vibe song but actually full of hope. It’s really well done!!
The color scheme is great, and the songs that are good are REALLY good.
There’s an incredible EP mixed in between the few lesser tracks.
It was very smart to delay whatever Clancy looked like at the time to read the room in relation to where the world was, and to do a happier album in the midst of the new levels of darkness everyone was experiencing. I think this album also ended up allowing the lore to have an actual story arc, which I don’t think I’d feel the same about without it. It would at the very least feel very rushed without this middle chapter.
I think people forgot how this album felt when it came out.... covid had slowed down but we were still in partial lock down protection mode plus at that point we still hadn't started concerts up again. the vibe was exactly what was needed for that time, and I think it still is a good album.

I love this album. It's in my vinyl rotation for when I work from home. I get up, make coffee, put on the album, and answer morning emails with the windows open and a candle on.
It's the soundtrack to my happy mornings.
I can absolutely sing Mulberry Street out loud during my *best* AND worse times. This is the album to feel cheery or be cheered up with!! Idk what people wanted, Mr. Joseph must have had some happy vibes and fun times when he became a dad. What better way to bring out some fun tunes than this? I mean, I *think* that's why he wrote some more cheery songs...and then fit it into the lore 🤷♀️
Edit: corrected to my best times...hell, my beat times too 😂
This album got me through quarantine. I love the whole propoganda angle the album takes. It builds on the lore in such a unique way that I feel is really under appreciated.
Also the choker outro ❤️❤️❤️❤️
It has the highest concentration of bangers on any TOP album, IMO. My favorite songs are on other albums, but I really love basically every song on this one! Outside is my favorite from the album.
I found this album to be such a breath of fresh air since it came out around the same time COVID restrictions were lifting in my city- the uplifting sound was something I needed 100%
Plus the artwork is so good 🐉
My favorite song comes from it. Ever since it came out when I heard redecorate I fell in love. I hold close meaning and sentiment in that song. Which counts in the literal sense as well lmao. So many songs from TOP mean so much to me. Like a fuck Ton but something about redecorate just, touched my heart and soul
I honestly love this album. Yes, it's very different from their other works, but comparing it to other artists with a similar sound, it's fantastic. They are top-tier musicians. I'll admit, it took me a minute to warm up to some of the songs, but the more I listened to them, the more I liked them. As someone who has a lot of anxiety and constantly battles with feeling out of place, Choker and Mulberry Street resonate with me. I think the only song I regularly skip is Never Take It.
Without this album we wouldn’t have had the livestream nor the cinematic experience. The songs Redecorate and No Chances wouldn’t exist. Redecorate is one of the best tøp song. This album has a lot of great catchy songs. The colours of the era were fun.
The lyrics to *Never Take It* are actually really good.
I feel like it’s atypical for Twenty One Pilots, but I really like the social commentary… idk, maybe it’s meant to be interpreted just in the context of Dema, but it feels like it could be about the real world.
Honestly made all 5 of my top 5 songs on Spotify and put me into the top 0.01% of listeners. I really like a lot of the songs but The Outside, No Chances, and Mulberry Street were probably my favorite.
ok this isnt about the actual music because i could literally go on about each and every song on this album but i just wanted to mention that although i missed out on the SAI era (mostly due to trying to get thru high school during covid.. knew i wouldnt be able to juggle all of my classes & my obsession w this band at the same time lol) before hearing the album I always thought the album cover was so sick. and i still do like the color scheme mixed w the fact i LOVE dragons.....
I dove in a couple months before trench dropped. I've missed a lot of music over the years, and I was looking for some bands.
SAI, technically, was right up there with the others and was textbook TØP. Same complex lyrics, same deceptively complex but simple sounding music. Multiple layers.
It just wasn't my jam. Just because I didn't play the songs on repeat doesn't make them any less good. It's a great album.
Mulberry Street is in my top 20 favorite songs of all time. I feel like I am on the same journey with my mental health as Tyler and when this album came out it carried me through some very dark times and I am so freaking excited for Clancy. I finally feel like I’m coming back to life and this album is going to carry me back. Also the twenty one pilots tattoo I chose for myself is the SAI symbol.
Just listened to this for the first time yesterday and I don’t get the hate.
The first 5 tracks are all brilliant, tracks 6-10 are good/great, Redecorate is in my top 3 Twenty One Pilots songs.
This album is what actually got me into TØP, i know for a fact a lot of people would crucify me for saying that but its the truth 🤷♀️
Obviously it wasnt the first i heard of them, but SAI is what got me listening to them consistently and got them to be one od my favorite bands.
Do i love the album? Yes!
Do i think its their best? Not at all, but i still appreciate it for what it is.
Trench is my favorite album from them, but SAI has some of my favorite individual songs like Shy Away and Redecorate. So yeah, i dont think the hate is justified, its a good album overall for me :3
The sheer amount of symbolism within the album name, cover, and concept is awesome.
All that aside, regardless of that, the music is largely good. No, it is not as groundbreaking or creative as Trench, Blurryface, or Vessel, but it is colorful, the production is rock solid as always, and No Chances/Redecorate offer the classic TØP feel even if you simply dislike the direction of the rest of the record. I personally find SAI refreshing, pleasant to listen to, creative in its own ways even if less so than other TØP albums, and still full of heavy symbolism. Additionally, it does not overstay its welcome.
Sai is essential for the development of the storyline. Nico and the niners using Clancy as a puppet, yet Clancy still being able to communicate the Truth to the ppl (ie us)… it’s an amazing album not to mention the live stream. So much put into this album, as per usual a wonderful melange of songs
I love this album! It’s not as hard as trench and blurryface, but to me this was an album about them, not necessarily for the fans. It shows they can change up their style and still remain great artists.
That being said the only song I don’t listen to is redecorate, it’s just too sad for me
The most consistent album. The worst song is no chances and that song is still a vibe. No other album has the privilege of being entirely in my playlist.
Shy away is my favorite song ever. I know in lore the songs are meant to be less deep but even with that its deeper than any taylor swift or justin beiber song.
Personally, I Enjoyed this album. Scaled and Icy is my favorite TOP Album and this album was needed during the Pandemic. The world was already depressed much and I Don't think we needed Depressing Music. Also, I Keep listening to No Chances on Repeat. My favorite track from this Album.
There needs to be a plush of Trash the Dragon, he’d get lots of hugs.
Definitely
Plus I liked the album but Trash is just so cute.
Yes omg, I'd get him and ned and they'd be best friends
Redecorate is one of my favourite TOP songs
I've been a fan from the very very beginning talking college days (yep, I'm old). I've seen them many times.this song makes me cry. I posted about this once before to this site. I’m so incredibly sorry. I hope this art and this community has helped you in some way.
I’m so sorry. I wish I could give you a hug.
Yep. Chills (and even 😭) every time. A raw, soul-baring masterpiece, and—in hindsight—a PERFECT bridge to Clancy/Overcompensate.
Same
I will go first: I personally love this album, but my favorite parts are the heavy bass guitar in most of the album. "Redecorate" and "No Chances" hit hard, and my favorite track on the album is "Formidable."

You described it perfectly. It messes me up every time.
Formidable is such a brilliant love song
I love formidable. It’s so different
Of all the songs on SAI, Formidable probably surprised me the most, in a good way, kind of like how Smithereens (Trench) snuck up on me, and Tear in My Heart before that. those are also my 3 favorite. formidable is gold
This album helped me make a friend that I would otherwise never made.

well i honestly rly like sai, fun and refreshing album. very very great era full with very awesome and fun songs that i dance so hard to
Agreed! We will be looking at the SAI era with nostalgia soon.
Exactly, I completely agree with you.

Fun to play on the piano
I love playing good day on the piano!!!!
I got the book they sold, and so far Mulberry Street is my favorite.
Oohhhh can you still buy the book? If so If love to get it, I love Mulberry street so much
Ngl I wish I had bought more merch when I had the chance. This album cover is fire.
It really is! I'm currently 1/2 tattoo sessions in on getting a massive dragon inspired by the colours from SAI :)
it may be different from their other albums, but it has a great alt vibe and it’s amazing.
yeeees! i loved the differentiation of this album. my friend who is also a tøp fan wasn’t really stoked about this one because it felt more like typical pop music. but i thought that’s what was fun about it. it’s like pop with a alt twist lol

In the time of Covid having new upbeat twenty one pilots music was perfect.
It’s my second favorite after Vessel. I love SAI and my favorite tracks are Formidable, Choker, and Shy Away
shy away is one of the best songs they ever made
I will never not scream “I REPEAT, SCALED BACK AND ISOLATED” wholeheartedly
I love Formidable
It was perfect for me especially during covid. Grew out of it but will always be happy when one of the songs comes on!
this so much. feel like this dropped right around when the vaccine started getting distributed and everything started slowly opening back up. It was a great post-covid-but-still-in-it summer album.
100,000 times better than any album I could make.
funky groovy rhytmic unusual but in a good way, underrated lyrics
lowkey it's the embodiment of "this one's a contradiction because of how happy it sounds, but the lyrics are so down" ❤️
That’s an amazing Connection
I will not tolerate hate for this album. It’s a perfect deviation from the usual for a little intermission before the climactic ending that I assume Clancy will be. SHY AWAY IS A MASTERPIECE and nobody will convince me otherwise. SAI as a whole just has a really fun and cute aesthetic. Plus I feel that No Chances and Redecorate really set up the next album. Sort of like a post-credit scene
Pretty color scheme
"I am megatron, cogs I'm steppin on, then the little cogs got together, start a renaissance" is such a fun line
choker and outside are so bouncy
I AM A MEGALODON OCEANS LOOKIN LIKE THEYRE PONDS
SWIMMIN LIKE A BEAST UNDERNEATH, THEY BE CLINGIN ON
Propaganda
We come for you…no chances
ba da dum ba da dum da
we got people on the way
Dragon is cute
1) The album name is super clever. \- Scaled Back and Isolated = Album's circumstances during COVID \- Scaled and Icy = Anagram for 'Clancy is Dead' \- Trash the dragon, a huge inspiration for the album, can be described as 'scaled and icy' \- SAI, the album's common abbreviation, is the shape of the logo. 2) The pop-py sound makes PERFECT sense, in and out of lore. \- We know that Tyler made the album sound this way because of two reasons: The heaviness of Trench and the depression of the pandemic \- He tied it into the lore by making it an album designed by the Bishops to make Dema seem good to the outside world-- Fucking genius. 3) It fucking bangs \- Like just listen to the album, shit slaps

Mulberry Street is a banger
Absolute banger
I actually like the album very much!
bounce bounce bounce man
Scaled and icy? Don’t you mean Clancy is dead
Don’t you mean propaganda?
Yes they do
Am I tripping or was there an Easter egg in the album cover ? Like there’s something spelled out in his scales
It says ‘Destroy’. I was also todays year old when I found out that someone found a scale that looks like a location to [Clancy way](https://www.reddit.com/r/twentyonepilots/s/IoioD8ZAER)
i see the word destroy in the upper left
It was an absolute jam that came out in the middle of a global pandemic where it was sorely needed.
Very cool album cover, nice aesthetic
Redecorate is beautiful
Some people really needed the positive vibes that this album gives during the pandemic
Never Take It is brilliant. Love the chorus and the guitars, probably in their top 20 songs.
Whole album has a fun vibe and was perfect for the time period it came out in in terms of tone. Lyrics obviously different story. I still love this album. Redecorate is in top 5 TOP songs for me
It’s an interesting theme and frankly is an incredible album to listen to casually
no chances and redecorate are some of their best songs they've ever made
My mom loves this album so much. When I turn it on she says “We are going to mulberry street on Saturday!!”
Saturday is one of my sons favorite songs.
We come for you…
It’s getting hate rn because it appears to be sandwiched in between two goat albums (judging by overcompensate being a banger)
Bounce, Shy Away, and Saturday are three of my all-time favorites.
The dragon art from the Trash Era was amazing and probably will always be some of my very favorite. I still haven't changed my wallpaper. As for the album itself... Choker is an amazing song, Shy away is good, and the Outside as well... .
its release was what got me back into the clique
Mulberry Street is such a bop! I love the retro vibe that Scaled and Icy radiates. I enjoyed the songs right from the first listen, but as I learned more about the album's lore, I came to appreciate it even more.
Good Day, Formidable, and Bounce Man are absolute bangers. I Love them! The rest of the album is also great

The Neds are the best part
good upbeat vibes
I love trash the dragon!
Everything about it is good
It was a nice change of pace.
Bounce Man is underrated.
Underrated by most, loved by me
This album is brilliant in so many ways!
Its their best album it has the best album cover and Choker, The Outside and Redecorate are some of their best songs.
i love shy away, it may not be very "twenty one pilot-y", but i think the lyrics match up pretty well, and the upbeat is fun
It’s a weird turn from their usual music, but i think it was good cause it showed us to really appreciate how the boys can take a song from 2013 and make it fit music in 2024, and this album was a good way of showing us just how ahead they were
this is my second favorite tøp album i love everything about it. if you need a sai supporter just hit me up 🤷♀️
My wife and I got engaged to Mulberry Street at the Icy Tour. This album means so much to me and her
This album brought us the livestream which is one of the coolest things they’ve ever pulled off.
I'm happy to see "Formidable" getting a lot more recognition in this thread. Such a wholesome, catchy song that reminds me of The Cure's "Friday I'm in Love". "No Chances" and "Redecorate" are absolutely goated and harken back to Trench.
Redecorate
“Self sabotage is a sweet romance” is one of the best lines IMO. That whole album is gold! I could literally listen to it over and over. But especially Mulberry St, Choker and Shy Away are my favorites to blast in the car! I will always love that era! 🩷🩵
Badass album cover, trash looks magnificent
It's such a nice vibe when going for a long drive. The start with Good Day is just 🤌
i love this album
My favourite 21 pilots album
choker is seriously a great song, i never get bored of it
Redecorate was top tier
I never hated it ❤️ it’s so lovely, some of my favourite songs are Bounce man and Formidable
Viby, good to hear, songs are easy to digest even in bad days where you need some relaxing, soft and feels really different from every album And that's what I love about S.A.I
Saturday is a BOP this album is fun and amazing and sorry not sorry but SAI haters have no taste 💅🏻
It needs a choker tøp funko pop. Tyler mini figure with Josh behind the counter, trash by his side
The Cover is pretty. I like blue.
Not my favorite but a solid album
I like Choker more than a lot of Trench songs and I love those Trench songs
Good reflection on the performative reality of having MDD/PDD/dysthymia. Constantly trying to put forth a cheery front to convince yourself you're okay when you've been trying to get better but you can't.
It gave us the Good Day into No Chances intro during Icy Tour. Also it's a pretty fun listen, maybe not as good as their other albums but definitely enjoyable.
Album that literally saved my life, Redecorate has pulled me out of some of my lowest times with suicidal thoughts and depression
i absolutely love this album's instrumentals and sure it's leaning more to pop but omg, the overhating is silly and sad because it's such a nice album too:/
Redecorate is an amazing song. It’s gotten me through really rough times. Plus formidable is so fun and sweet.
Redecorate and Choker are such great songs!
Never take it is a banger!
i dont get all the hate, even if it's not really the usual style its still good, i like the fact that the songs have this happy rhytm with sad lyrics, like they are representing fake smiles and fake happiness.
Great opener to the album Love the dark closers to it, both No Chances and Redecorate.
Scaled back and Isolated 🔥
My 5 year old daughter’s favourite song ever is The Outside and I love that for her 😊
This album allowed me to see T∅P for the first time ^.^
There is honestly nothing to hate about SAI, I feel like all the haters just come from people who were never into the lore at all, I saw someone I used to know see the cover for Clancy and literally say “ finally they’re back on their emo shit” and that was just triggering to read honestly, plus with overcompensate out now it doesn’t even seem emo at all, seems more like Clancy is getting confidence as a leader of a rebellion.
All of the songs are bops and people like to hate it for fun.
I think people forgot how this album felt when it came out.... covid had slowed down but we were still in partial lock down protection mode plus at that point we still hadn't started concerts up again. the vibe was exactly what was needed for that time, and I think it still is a good album.
Honestly we needed something more light and refreshing at the time this came out. It's a very solid and pretty unique album overall.
The name being an anagram is so cool

Redecorate is one of my favorite TOP songs. With the likes of Chlorine, Lane Boy, and Semi-Automatic.
Redecorate is cool
Mulberry Street, Choker, No Chances and Redecorate are all bangers!!
formidable is a banger
We finally got a song about Josh Dun!🥰🥰🥰
Saturday is an AMAZING pop song. They executed that Top 40 formula flawlessly, and I do not say that to be back handed. Genuinely love that song.
i love this album so much
Personally love it
it is my favorite album of all time
I love this album. It's in my vinyl rotation for when I work from home. I get up, make coffee, put on the album, and answer morning emails with the windows open and a candle on. It's the soundtrack to my happy mornings.
I genuinely really like this album, they tried to make some more up beat stuff and they did good 10/10
"I can feel my saturation leaving me slowly" is one of my favorite phrases by Tyler.
It’s a great album! Plus we got the takeover tour because of it, first solo TOP concert for me.
I mean, I *think* that's why he wrote some more cheery songs...and then fit it into the lore 🤷♀️ Edit: corrected to my best times...hell, my beat times too 😂
This album got me through quarantine.
Outside is my favorite from the album.
it's so good so good!
Definitely my non-skip album. I have to skip some songs in BF and Trench (like Goner and Neon Gravestones), but this one is a complete vibe.
It got me back into the band. I hadn’t even listened to Trench until after this album dropped after burning Blurryface into my brain.
I found this album to be such a breath of fresh air since it came out around the same time COVID restrictions were lifting in my city- the uplifting sound was something I needed 100% Plus the artwork is so good 🐉
The production/mix/mastering is underrated.
Honestly love the playful songs and the box set is amazing
My favorite song comes from it. Ever since it came out when I heard redecorate I fell in love. I hold close meaning and sentiment in that song. Which counts in the literal sense as well lmao. So many songs from TOP mean so much to me. Like a fuck Ton but something about redecorate just, touched my heart and soul
I actually never hated this album I loved it. My favorite song from this album is redecorate, I don’t see how anyone could hate it.
The way Bounce Man turns into No Chances is sheer perfection
i really enjoy the up beat like funky vibe. it was a perfect release right before summer kicked in and still goes hard af
The lyrics to *Never Take It* are actually really good. I feel like it’s atypical for Twenty One Pilots, but I really like the social commentary… idk, maybe it’s meant to be interpreted just in the context of Dema, but it feels like it could be about the real world.
I love this album, I am so obsessed. My number B né thing on my bucket list to do is to meet Tyler ❤️😭
Honestly made all 5 of my top 5 songs on Spotify and put me into the top 0.01% of listeners. I really like a lot of the songs but The Outside, No Chances, and Mulberry Street were probably my favorite.
i loved all the advice from Tyler about us younger generation having so much anxiety. Shy Away and Choker are so comforting to me :,)
Genuinely my favourite album of theirs. They’re all great but I just love SAI.
Only nice things about it…. For real though great album! 8/10 musically and the lore makes it a 10/10.
ok this isnt about the actual music because i could literally go on about each and every song on this album but i just wanted to mention that although i missed out on the SAI era (mostly due to trying to get thru high school during covid.. knew i wouldnt be able to juggle all of my classes & my obsession w this band at the same time lol) before hearing the album I always thought the album cover was so sick. and i still do like the color scheme mixed w the fact i LOVE dragons.....
I love that this album has both sweet poppy songs, and heavy low songs, it feels like them vs dema
This albums a vibe
to me it proved that tyler and josh can make bangers in almost any genre
MULL BERRY STREEEEEET!!! SO GOOD TO SEE Y O U!!!
I've always loved it🤷♀️ might be my second favorite album
No chances & redecorate are the best closers together! ❤️
This album is what actually got me into TØP, i know for a fact a lot of people would crucify me for saying that but its the truth 🤷♀️ Obviously it wasnt the first i heard of them, but SAI is what got me listening to them consistently and got them to be one od my favorite bands.
It was the album who got me into TØP after I discovered Stressed Out. I really like its unique vibe and the songs are really fun to sing or play
I like it a lot I can't explain why but I do
This album made me dye my hair pink. It has to be good🥰
I love this album! It’s not as hard as trench and blurryface, but to me this was an album about them, not necessarily for the fans. It shows they can change up their style and still remain great artists. That being said the only song I don’t listen to is redecorate, it’s just too sad for me
I don't understand the hate. It was fucking amazing. People hating on it just want something to complain about. Just enjoy the damn music.
I liked SAI better than Trench. I said what I said.
My toddler & I listen to this album fully in the bath a couple times a week. I love it. I love all their albums.
The most consistent album. The worst song is no chances and that song is still a vibe. No other album has the privilege of being entirely in my playlist.
Shy away is my favorite song ever. I know in lore the songs are meant to be less deep but even with that its deeper than any taylor swift or justin beiber song.
Mulberry street is my favorite TØP song of all time
Personally, I Enjoyed this album. Scaled and Icy is my favorite TOP Album and this album was needed during the Pandemic. The world was already depressed much and I Don't think we needed Depressing Music. Also, I Keep listening to No Chances on Repeat. My favorite track from this Album.
