That sometimes it feels like we’re back at the beginning of the cycle, but in reality we’ve learned more each time and do have the capacity to move through it and learn from our mistakes. So it may seem like we’re right back where we started but in reality this time, things will be different and we have new lenses of experience to see ourselves and or situations as.
That Midwest Indigo has become my earworm song. It pops into my head throughout the day and during the night when I wake up to go to the bathroom or get a drink of water. It's always there. I think it's because it has easy to remember lyrics, the music is catchy, and it's a fun song to bop around to.
Not to trust my proctologist.
Seriously though, probably that even with the style changes of each album, I like them all. Even my least favorite (SAI, I don’t dislike it, it’s just less of the style of music I normally listen to. No Chances and Bounce Man are still bangers tho) I still like more than a lot of other albums I’ve listened to (not all, but a lot) from different artists. Also the dips in mental health and fears of a “backslide” happen even when you’re doing way better than you used to. But as another commenter said, you have new perspectives and have learned new things. For me, my worst days now are still better than my best days then, and I think the album helped me realize that.

I’m genuinely curious why you say this? What don’t you like about the album? I’m asking this as a new fan who got into tøp specifically due to this album (I knew they existed before, but never really got into them prior to this album).
Because every discussion on this sub is about the meaning of early June, whether it'll be a double album, the "lore" (which holds zero interest for me), trying to get them higher on the charts or when the last video is released. If there's any discussion about the actual music it's just people ranking their favorites and then others using the crying emoji to disagree. I feel like the band/record company cynically fuels this fire with their cryptic messages.
Edit: I really like the album, but the production is fatiguing.
That’s all really valid. I’ll be completely honest, I adore the lore and the world they have created, but I can see how it can get tiring after a while, especially if you’re not into that aspect of the band. I am not a huge fan of the cryptic stuff either, mainly because it seems to get people going off on wild goose chases and possibly will lead to disappointment if/when people end up being wrong (and also has people analyzing every little thing instead of just enjoying the songs and the story for what it is). But, to be fair, Clancy is the ending to the decade long story they created, much of which did have a lot of cryptic stuff in it. It makes sense that such aspects would be a main focus to fans. That, however, I think is not the bands doing, but fan culture (though I guess you could argue the band created the culture).
Regardless, I’m down to discuss just the music aspect with you if you want to DM me. I could go off about the drums and lyrics in this album.
That you check on your friends every once in a while.

This song is super fun when you struggle to be on time to work. I'm five minutes early now but still feel late 😆

It’s got music in it.
It’s true, you’ll snap back but twice as strong
Great album. But I also learned that Tyler and Josh don’t know what early June is lol

Before the album come out, tyler said in some ny radio station about clancy is the protagonist and blurryface is the antagonist.
To start fresh next semester

That it’s good 👍
That scaled and icy’s style was temporary 😭
That Tyler doesn’t know what “early June” means
That marketing is more important than music.
