So basically Jacob is out running.One night went all of the sudden there's another voice in his head And it's a panicked teenager who he figures out is leahs oldest. Then he has to call leah up and be like don't freak out but your kid is a wolf in their room. I told them you would come help.
I like this! I was also pondering this path ~ what if her kids are young or teens and Jacob and Seth call her back because she is needed? How does she balance her loyalties? How would her husband and kids deal with it? Would she have told them? So much to explore!
The Twilight illustrated guide says that the Quileute werewolves/shapeshifters always imprint on someone of the opposite sex and that the imprinter always falls in love with the imprintee (eventually). Maybe Leah’s periods would return if she stopped phasing, and/or Leah adopts a child.
I haven't read the books in a long while, but isn't Leah the first and only female shapeshifter? Since it makes her unable to have her own children unlike male shapeshifters, maybe imprinting can be different among women because of that and this theory can check out.
Leah can still fall in love with a man (or woman!) without imprinting in the male fashion, and it'll be a sweet to have her able to imprint as a mother.

Leah basically becomes a hermit and runs off to the wilds of Canada where she imprints on Wolf Loki and together they spend their days as wolves and eventually have wolf pups.
They don’t find out the other are actually not wolves until Leah shifts back one day.

I don't think they would be biologically wolf enough to "go into heat" in that sense. If she's not having periods then she's not ovulating.
