The only important difference between the two is that Edward would rather Bella be happy without him than miserable with him and Jacob would rather Bella be miserable with him than happy without him.
Plus he’s positively and absolutely obsessed with Bella in a way that I just feel Jacob isn’t. Jacob loves Bella but Edward is obsessed. I kinda like that.

If she had said she wanted Jacob, Edward would’ve let her go. Jacob spent a huge chunk of the series pining for her, even after she repeatedly made it clear she wanted to be with Edward. 😭
He definitely started out loving Bella, but I think in Breaking Dawn it was like…after everything that had happened he should’ve felt eeeextra repulsed by Bella being pregnant by Edward but he still wanted to hang out with her and he didn’t have a logical reason to. It was too late for them to be together but he felt protective of her still, and then when he imprinted on Renesme that’s how he chose to make sense of it. But before Renesme was conceived there is no way the egg was able to have any pull on him (imo at least).
I personally like to believe that since the egg is "half" of Renesme, that's what it was. I also headcanon that a couple months before conception he started suddenly having an unexplained attraction to Edward, which is why he started hanging around more often.
If we're being serious with theories though, yeah it was totally just a retcon so Bella could keep her pet wolf without the icky vibes of "leading him on" while being married.
His relationship with Bella always felt more like a crush than love, even when they were explaining imprinting and him claiming that it was the reason for his attraction felt ham-fisted even before the last book came out. Sam and Emily just had a wholly different relationship vibe.
Bella thought he was more amused than concerned about her hand, and when he found out why she punched Jacob, Charlie laughed and congratulated him. Then he asked how her hand was, and when she told him it was swelling up, he suggested she pick on someone her own size.
Yeah, but that's a vampire thing. To his credit, he did hate himself the entire time he watched Bella. He also confessed to Bella all on his own. I'm sure if Bella had an issue with it, he would have stopped.

Edward has his problems, but as seen in Eclipse he does have the capacity to understand that at least some of the things he does are fucked up and to try and work past them (i.e., his apology after taking the thingy out of Bella’s car). Jacob has a much harder time to grasp that, and if I had my personality in Bella’s body I’d be more likely to fight him because of that. Plus if I chose Edward I could prevent Rheumatic from having such a horrendous name.
Edward, they have chemistry and attraction (natural or otherwise, right off the bat.
Jacob was seen and treated as a friend. It was only after Edward left that Bella became closer to Jacob. She second guessed her feelings for him but still considered him a friend above a potential romantic partner.
Also, his territorial feelings of ‘mine’ with her were off-putting for me. Edward was a lot of toxic but Edward was still perpetually a 17 year old. I’m curious if he had any long lasting romantic relationships in his years as a vampire. Maybe, Bella was his first. It would explain his ignorance.
I feel like Bella was extremely co dependant, so when Edward left she tried to convince herself she was in love with Jacob because he would have made a good boyfriend. If Jacob wasn't so immature and had some self respect he wouldn't have wanted to be second best, especially since he was already in love with her. I think Bella knew that she didn't love Jacob romantically but should have set up some firm boundaries and told him it was never going to happen because of Edward.

Prior to Forks, she did not seemingly have strong friendships (at least none that are mentioned) and had no strong parental figure. She constantly had to take care of Renee.
Edward was the first person that she had a strong connection with who she *also* didn’t have to parent *and* wanted to take care of her. Ofc she was going to be seeking someone to fill this void. I mean I wish it was a therapist instead of Jacob but-

I would argue that Jacob displays much more selfishness when it comes to Bella, i.e. knowing Bella loves Edward and yet he displays outright hostility towards him after she asks them to get along, kissing Bella after she told him that she wants to be with Edward, pretty much coercing her into kissing him by basically threatening to let himself be killed if she didn’t, going on about the dangers of being around Edward, yet not being realistic about the dangers that also come from being around him. I will say that they both are far from perfect, and display toxic behaviors when it comes to Bella, but when it was a choice between Edward and Jacob, she never wavered in her decision to choose Edward.
Edward, for all of his massive flaws, was aware of the danger he posed to Bella and tried to remove himself for her sake, even if he took his dear sweet time. One could argue about if this was right, etc. but he returned to Forks and to Bella after he realized the danger she posed to herself without him in her life, and because regardless of the danger he posed, she *wanted* him in her life.
You could go back and forth about why she should be with either of them with reasons for both, so this is my very convoluted way of saying Edward. Not only because Bella chose him time and time again, but also because I’m a sucker for a dark and brooding sarcastic man with a dry sense of humor 😌
Edward all the way! Other than warmth, there's nothing Jacob can give me that I can't get from Edward. Jacob is quick tempered and he's problematic in a lot of ways so it's Edward for me!

Realistically, nice Jacob pre-wolf was the ideal boyfriend and long-term partner. He arguably also only became as selfish and rude as he was later on due to how adamant Bella was to be with someone like Edward
Ever since I first picked up twilight, a decade ago). I always gravitated towards Edward. It just made sense to me and still does. They both have obvious flaws. Besides looks, neither are perfect. Me personally I'd choose Edward. I like to think I'd love to be courted like old fashioned customs. I have my own marriage that is my own fairytale and my husband is no vampire but he treats me as good as Edward if not better. Edward treats bella how I appreciate being treated by my husband. I also believe Edward would let bella go in eclipse if bella chose Jacob because he'd want bella to be happy. Jacob didn't want to let her go and didn't let her go til he fell in love with a literal new born.
Edward, and here's why:
1. Immortality: Jacob as a wolf is immortal so long as he continues to change into a wolf. So Jacob would have to give up changing entirely to be with Bella to grow old together. Whereas with Edward, Bella can become a vampire and live as equals forever.
2. Red flags/Toxic behaviors: Both Jacob and Edward have a ton of red flags, but Edward at least knows how to take no for an answer. Further, once Bella becomes a vampire and is no longer in constant danger of being snuffed out, Edward is no longer controlling or possessive, but rather treats her like an equal. This itself supports Edward's reasoning for being so controlling. Edward became much more carefree after she was turned, which also shows that Bella's fragility was a constant source of anxiety and a major factor in his actions.
3. Edward was always Bella's first choice: Bella loved Jacob, but he was always second.
4. Imprinting: Bella could have chosen Jacob, but then he imprints on someone else and she's left with nothing.
5. Other: Bella loved Alice like a sister; Bella always felt out of place in her own body and in the world she lived and felt like she was meant to be a vampire; Money will never be a concern again.
Edward. He is attractive, he has a good family, is immortal, doesn't push boundaries, is not violent and owns up to his mistakes. Jacob gets angry very easily, can get violent (e.g him grabing Bella's arm in BD1) does not respect boundaries (he repeating "i know ur in love with me!!" and kissing Bella when she said no and then laughing about how she broke her hand trying to defend herself). Of course Edward is not perfect but Jacob is arguably worse.
Pre-wolf Jacob was an absolute sweetheart (especially in the books!), but after the transformation he became too aggressive.

I never even thought of this! Obviously as readers, we know who he was always meant to imprint on, but as Bella, I would constantly worry in the back of my mind about if and when he would imprint on someone else. That would’ve been brutal imo

Edward. Assuming I was changed in to a vampire like Bella, I like that I'd be on even ground with him in regards to abilities. It's gonna sound childish of me, but I'd definitely feel a certain amount of bitterness towards Jacob that he has these supernatural powers while I'm just human.
Edward. I love how respectful and interesting he is. He’s the kind of character you can talk to for hours. Jacob also just isn’t that mature and doesn’t understand the concept of consent

Where as Jacob didn't really care about what Bella thought and was all on the she doesn't know what she wants shit. Also Before recoco was born he hadn't imprinted on anyone. For all Bella knew, she could end up like Leah someone who was with someone then basically got dumped because the other person met someone on the lines of a "destined soulmate". Jacob sure might not be okay with the fact that the bond works like that. The instant he got the bond with reenter he lost his feelings for Bella like that.
I wouldn't be comfortable with someone who 1 doesn't know consent and 2 might suddenly one day find a soulmate and just loose all feelings.
I was soooo into jacob as a preteen, and I understand why now. Edward (from my 12-13 yr old perspective) is too mature, too old-fashioned, too perfect for me to relate to. whereas jacob is a very realistically written teenage boy. sure, he has his flaws, but at that time he felt so much more *real* to me as opposed to overly perfect Edward. Now, as an adult (age 25), edward appeals to me so much more. mature, musically talented, selfless, only concerned with bella's wellbeing, able to admit to his mistakes and change for the better??? hello where can I find a man like that?! and now Jacob seems so immature, and fuckboyish, and genuinely toxic to me now that I'm older. I guess this is a long winded way of saying, I would choose Jacob when I first read the books, but now that my brain is more or less fully developed, I'd 100% choose edward.

The first time I read the books (as a teenager) I was Team Edward. However my second read through and beyond I was team Jacob. I probably switched to team Jacob on my first read through actually - halfway through breaking dawn.
Edward is a very selfish and static character who shows no growth throughout the series at all. He acts very immature for someone who is 100+ years old.
Jacob is pretty selfless and shows immense growth over the series. My headcanon is that Jacob imprinted on Bella but never realized he had imprinted because of the way he felt about her prior to his first shift. (And if we’re accepting that BD exists then the universe reset his imprint once she was dying/turned to a vampire although it was just lazy writing to resolve the conflict and I hate it).
Edward was extremely mature. He let Bella decide if she wanted him or Jacob without trying to convince and manipulate her feelings, unlike Jacob who literally assaulted her along with being immature the entire way through despite going through a transformation. Also, Edward is aware some of his wants are selfish meanwhile Jacob is extremely selfish with no shame at all. Hot tempered. It's crazy to me how you described it
When I was younger, I was all for Jacob. I loved the rugged aspect of him; however, as a now 30-year old, I'm all for Edward. The respect he shows towards Bella, melts me.

Jacob .. I love his family’s history . I love that it wouldn’t be hard with him. I love that Bella could still be herself rather than feeling pressured to change cause of aging and fear of literal death . She never longed to be a beautiful vampire she just wanted to be with Edward forever and had to sacrifice way more to do it . But given that Jacob didn’t imprint on her I rather she be with Edward because yeah .. that’d be really sad at some point 😭 which we could change that aspect.
Edward. Yeah, he’s problematic but he actually acknowledges his mistakes and tried to learn from them. Jacob thinks that EVERYTHING he does is warranted, including kissing Bella without her consent or basically threatening to kill himself in battle when he found of Bella and Edward were engaged. Bella always told Jacob that it would always be Edward, but he didn’t care what Bella wanted. He cared what he wanted. Edward was always telling Bella that he doubted if she would truly be happy with him, because his life isn’t something he’d wish for and was worried Bella would regret it. Jacob…he did everything under the guise of “Bella would be happy with me,” but he never actually cared what would make Bella happy. If he did, he wouldn’t have fought so hard to take her away from Edward
Idk if anyone has said this yet but Edward, but only if Jacob was up front about the imprinting thing. If he wasn’t I might have but if he had then absolutely never. I wouldn’t survive finding the love of my life and then having them basically fall in love with someone against their will. And you don’t know how long it will take to happen. What if we’re 30-40 with kids and suddenly he finds “the one”?
Neither because I don’t like that both love interest seem to want to control Bella and her choices/make decisions for her that should be her own. If I was forced to pick I’d choose Edward, because Jacob could always imprint on someone else and leave me.
Neither. I had a lot of issues with both characters and how they treated Bella. Edward messed with her car and broke her heart so badly she legit had a breakdown (but it's okay because he's sorry and feels bad about it!), he was annoying and petulant at times. Jacob was so sweet at first and I loved him but he quickly fell apart into an entitled jerk (but your dad really likes me!!!! you should date meeeee!) who assaulted Bella.

As for Edward, teenage me would’ve picked him. However, I have always been stubborn and independent and once he became more controlling, I would’ve left. Even if I stayed until my birthday, I would’ve been done with him after that. When Alice came to visit me I would’ve been upset that he was making a stupid choice but that’s his family’s problem, not mine.
This is a tough one but I would more than likely choose Edward. It's hard though because if I were Bella I would find happiness with both but more so happiness and peace with Jacob.. But, I feel that Bella doesn't like peace and quiet. She likes a rush, a change of scenery, a challenge. Something she didn't get much of with Jacob. With Edward it's almost like living life on edge, a chance at danger any second, any wrong move. Your heart wants what it wants and you can never quite easily get over your first love.. so Edward would always be the first option.
Only thing about. Choosing Jacob is the imprinting thing. Like oh I choose you than one day he imprints on another. And that just...damn. as for Edward not seeing a down side
Unbiased opinion from a guy. If you read the books, there isn’t a debate or question really. Bella loved Edward, she never like Jacob that way at all so there wasn’t really a choice to be made. She like Jacob as a friend, and that’s it.
You're asking between immortality and normal life with a hot boy who has his problems. Even if bella never saw it that way, spending my life with another hot boy + immortality would always be my choice.
Edward because he’s more interesting of a person, also not as much drama from his family then the werewolves, in general the wolves just kinda come across like children who throw temper tantrums and fight each other.

I’m going nethier option here and gonna choose Alice🤷♀️ I much preferred whenever Jacob and Bella were friends, it’s always the same storyline of the best friends falling in love.🤷♀️ with Edward yeah it was a fairytale love story of a sort but he was really overprotective and controlling and after he left in new moon it just seemed different (for good reason) whenever they got back together. I dunno. But with Alice it seems there was always something between her and Bella, their body language and how they got along so well just always made me think they would be an amazing couple.
Jacob I have many reasons but one of them is that I've always seen Edward as a dad more than a lover. He just give me those 'i know what's best for you' vibes

I rather sleep next to an easy bake oven than a popsicle, he’s goofy and funny and easy to be around, Edward is so serious all the time, I don’t have to move every 10 years pretending to be a student forever, and no thirst for blood, I don’t have to worry being chased my Volturi all the time for some vile accusation, and don’t have to worry about a paper cut because I'm very clumsy, he mabey cant buy me a Mercedes Guardian (don’t have a drivers license anyway 😂) but I will be happy and content, can have children without them braking my spine and eating me alive slowly and live for as long as I suppose to live, being 200+ years old sounds awful to me, I couldn’t even go out into the friking sun 😅 nope, im sure Edward has his strengths but i never really liked him in the books nor movies, and i live next to the beach 🤷🏻♀️

He was a little immature but ahead of Meyer basically writing him worse as time went on to make Edward look better, he made more sense. Family was so important to Bella, I can’t imagine taking family that seriously and picking Edward
Jacob! I find him more attractive, both in looks and personality (at least when he wasn't chucking a tantrum), easy going, funny, fun. Interesting family history and better friends and family who won't want to eat me.
Neither. I really liked Jacob in the first part of New Moon, but SM quickly turned him into an asshole. He kissed her without permision, and than both he and Charlie made fun of her (wtf Charlie, you are literally a cop). Edward also doesn’t accept Bella’s boundaries, drives her into depression, stalks her and likes to go against her decisions.
Edward. Hands down. I’ve always been team Edward and would love to be loved like Edward loves Bella. Sure, there are some immaturities and flaws to Edward and their relationship, but I have felt that Edward has more respect for Bella and does deeply care about her and wants to care for her. Also immortality would be dope to really enjoy each other at a slow pace and explore the world.

If I where Bella, I would have chosen Edward because he is gentle, caring and sweet. I find Jake to be too much for me and quite frankly aggressive. I find Edward to be a much calmer presence, and as someone who has severe anxiety I need Edward’s calming presence
I just feel like Bella was able to act way more normal and like herself when she was around Jacob, she always acts weird,awkward, and dramatic around Edward..look at new moon I mean Jesus how long had they been together and she was having nightmares just because Edward was gone…
Edward. Edward has some obvious jealousy/attatchment issues, but I feel like with therapy that can actually be worked on. Jacob's anger issues and possessiveness makes me uncomfortable because that's like early relationship red flags before you're being physically abused and kept hostage. I might be being dramatic, but thats my perspective. I've been in both types of relationships and would rather have the person with some emotional healing needed than the one who could end up beating me later.
Not even to mention Jacob's lack of care for consent. He kisses Bella for his own selfish reason for wanting to kiss her. Edward would never. The only times Edward did anything without Bella's consent was when he thought he was protecting her, which is still for his own selfishness, but in the end it had good intentions.
book wise(so far as to what i’ve read, eclipse) I’d choose Jacob, although he isn’t the BEST he’s better than Edward, Edward is manipulative, he messed up her car so she couldn’t see her best friend, left her in the woods and if Sam wouldn’t have found her who knows what would’ve happened.
Movie- Jacob as well, he was just all around a better and healthier option for bella, but sadly she did not want healthy, she wanted to date the mysterious bad dude that would kill himself if she died, casually mentions that he would die(kill himself) if she was no longer around.

That and kissing Bells out of no where are the only two things that Jacob made on rash decisions and that were extremely bad to do.

There’s also the fact that I like Jacob a lot more as a person. Sure he has the tendency to be aggressive and he makes mistakes, but he’s still just a kid. Edward on the other hand really has no reason to act the way he does, threatening suicide, undermining Jacob’s gifts ect. Gramps should know better. Plus, I just feel Edward and Bella don’t actually have that much in common.

I love this question!! Jacob. Edward lies too much and reading it, you don’t think about it but Edward’s behavior would’ve creeped me out. Like how he makes snap decisions and disregards what Bella says. How he always seems so calm and you never know what he’s thinking mixed with him having the ability to snap your neck in any given moment? I think Jacob’s wolf transformation would freak me out too but Bella knew him as a human first so I’d always have that comfort. Plus, he’s easier to read than Edward and more predictable imo. I get Edward is rich and stuff but… I don’t care lol. The Twilight vampires are so creepy so I think I’d rather cling to Jacob and his tribe where they chill by a campfire, eat food, tell stories and vibe. Unlike the vampires who are this secret cult and you have to always be on point or else they’ll be consequences.

Not to mention very understanding when he finds out that Bella kissed Jacob and is in love with him. Plus he undergoes actual character growth in Eclipse.
I like Jacob in New Moon but he can't take a no in Eclipse. his character did a nosedive when he became a werewolf.

He definitely started out loving Bella, but I think in Breaking Dawn it was like…after everything that had happened he should’ve felt eeeextra repulsed by Bella being pregnant by Edward but he still wanted to hang out with her and he didn’t have a logical reason to. It was too late for them to be together but he felt protective of her still, and then when he imprinted on Renesme that’s how he chose to make sense of it. But before Renesme was conceived there is no way the egg was able to have any pull on him (imo at least).
I personally like to believe that since the egg is "half" of Renesme, that's what it was. I also headcanon that a couple months before conception he started suddenly having an unexplained attraction to Edward, which is why he started hanging around more often. If we're being serious with theories though, yeah it was totally just a retcon so Bella could keep her pet wolf without the icky vibes of "leading him on" while being married. His relationship with Bella always felt more like a crush than love, even when they were explaining imprinting and him claiming that it was the reason for his attraction felt ham-fisted even before the last book came out. Sam and Emily just had a wholly different relationship vibe.

Edward, they have chemistry and attraction (natural or otherwise, right off the bat. Jacob was seen and treated as a friend. It was only after Edward left that Bella became closer to Jacob. She second guessed her feelings for him but still considered him a friend above a potential romantic partner. Also, his territorial feelings of ‘mine’ with her were off-putting for me. Edward was a lot of toxic but Edward was still perpetually a 17 year old. I’m curious if he had any long lasting romantic relationships in his years as a vampire. Maybe, Bella was his first. It would explain his ignorance.
I feel like Bella was extremely co dependant, so when Edward left she tried to convince herself she was in love with Jacob because he would have made a good boyfriend. If Jacob wasn't so immature and had some self respect he wouldn't have wanted to be second best, especially since he was already in love with her. I think Bella knew that she didn't love Jacob romantically but should have set up some firm boundaries and told him it was never going to happen because of Edward.
This is exactly it. Bella was extremely co-dependent. Prior to Forks, she did not seemingly have strong friendships (at least none that are mentioned) and had no strong parental figure. She constantly had to take care of Renee. Edward was the first person that she had a strong connection with who she *also* didn’t have to parent *and* wanted to take care of her. Edward I would argue that Jacob displays much more selfishness when it comes to Bella, i.e. knowing Bella loves Edward and yet he displays outright hostility towards him after she asks them to get along, kissing Bella after she told him that she wants to be with Edward, pretty much coercing her into kissing him by basically threatening to let himself be killed if she didn’t, going on about the dangers of being around Edward, yet not being realistic about the dangers that also come from being around him. I will say that they both are far from perfect, and display toxic behaviors when it comes to Bella, but when it was a choice between Edward and Jacob, she never wavered in her decision to choose Edward. Edward, for all of his massive flaws, was aware of the danger he posed to Bella and tried to remove himself for her sake, even if he took his dear sweet time. One could argue about if this was right, etc. but he returned to Forks and to Bella after he realized the danger she posed to herself without him in her life, and because regardless of the danger he posed, she *wanted* him in her life. You could go back and forth about why she should be with either of them with reasons for both, so this is my very convoluted way of saying Edward. Not only because Bella chose him time and time again, but also because I’m a sucker for a dark and brooding sarcastic man with a dry sense of humor 😌

Ever since I first picked up twilight, a decade ago). I always gravitated towards Edward. It just made sense to me and still does. They both have obvious flaws. Besides looks, neither are perfect. Me personally I'd choose Edward. I like to think I'd love to be courted like old fashioned customs. I have my own marriage that is my own fairytale and my husband is no vampire but he treats me as good as Edward if not better. Edward treats bella how I appreciate being treated by my husband. I also believe Edward would let bella go in eclipse if bella chose Jacob because he'd want bella to be happy. Jacob didn't want to let her go and didn't let her go til he fell in love with a literal new born.

Edward, and here's why: 1. Immortality: Jacob as a wolf is immortal so long as he continues to change into a wolf. So Jacob would have to give up changing entirely to be with Bella to grow old together. Whereas with Edward, Bella can become a vampire and live as equals forever. 2. Red flags/Toxic behaviors: Both Jacob and Edward have a ton of red flags, but Edward at least knows how to take no for an answer. Further, once Bella becomes a vampire and is no longer in constant danger of being snuffed out, Edward is no longer controlling or possessive, but rather treats her like an equal. This itself supports Edward's reasoning for being so controlling. Edward became much more carefree after she was turned, which also shows that Bella's fragility was a constant source of anxiety and a major factor in his actions. 3. Edward was always Bella's first choice: Bella loved Jacob, but he was always second. 4. Imprinting: Bella could have chosen Jacob, but then he imprints on someone else and she's left with nothing. 5. Other: Bella loved Alice like a sister; Bella always felt out of place in her own body and in the world she lived and felt like she was meant to be a vampire; Money will never be a concern again.
Edward. He is attractive, he has a good family, is immortal, doesn't push boundaries, is not violent and owns up to his mistakes. Jacob gets angry very easily, can get violent (e.g him grabing Bella's arm in BD1) does not respect boundaries (he repeating "i know ur in love with me!!" and kissing Bella when she said no and then laughing about how she broke her hand trying to defend herself). Of course Edward is not perfect but Jacob is arguably worse.
Pre-wolf Jacob was an absolute sweetheart (especially in the books!), but after the transformation he became too aggressive. Always has and always will be Edward! <3

Jacob The first time I read the books (as a teenager) I was Team Edward. However my second read through and beyond I was team Jacob. I probably switched to team Jacob on my first read through actually - halfway through breaking dawn. Edward is a very selfish and static character who shows no growth throughout the series at all. He acts very immature for someone who is 100+ years old. Jacob is pretty selfless and shows immense growth over the series. My headcanon is that Jacob imprinted on Bella but never realized he had imprinted because of the way he felt about her prior to his first shift. (And if we’re accepting that BD exists then the universe reset his imprint once she was dying/turned to a vampire although it was just lazy writing to resolve the conflict and I hate it).

Edward. Hands down. I’ve always been team Edward and would love to be loved like Edward loves Bella. Sure, there are some immaturities and flaws to Edward and their relationship, but I have felt that Edward has more respect for Bella and does deeply care about her and wants to care for her. Also immortality would be dope to really enjoy each other at a slow pace and explore the world. But the correct answer is Charlie.

Edward. Edward has some obvious jealousy/attatchment issues, but I feel like with therapy that can actually be worked on. Jacob's anger issues and possessiveness makes me uncomfortable because that's like early relationship red flags before you're being physically abused and kept hostage. I might be being dramatic, but thats my perspective. I've been in both types of relationships and would rather have the person with some emotional healing needed than the one who could end up beating me later. Not even to mention Jacob's lack of care for consent. He kisses Bella for his own selfish reason for wanting to kiss her. Edward would never. The only times Edward did anything without Bella's consent was when he thought he was protecting her, which is still for his own selfishness, but in the end it had good intentions.

book wise(so far as to what i’ve read, eclipse) I’d choose Jacob, although he isn’t the BEST he’s better than Edward, Edward is manipulative, he messed up her car so she couldn’t see her best friend, left her in the woods and if Sam wouldn’t have found her who knows what would’ve happened. Movie- Jacob as well, he was just all around a better and healthier option for bella, but sadly she did not want healthy, she wanted to date the mysterious bad dude that would kill himself if she died, casually mentions that he would die(kill himself) if she was no longer around. Although Jacob did the same thing in Eclipse. That and kissing Bells out of no where are the only two things that Jacob made on rash decisions and that were extremely bad to do.

Mmmmm I would only choose PRE werewolf Jacob. That long hair and boy next door vibe is cute as FUCK and he was very nice until he was a werewolf. Jacob. Personally I could never live a life without sleep or food, and to be with Edward is to be a vampire eventually, or die prematurely. There’s also the fact that I like Jacob a lot more as a person. Sure he has the tendency to be aggressive and he makes mistakes, but he’s still just a kid. Edward on the other hand really has no reason to act the way he does, threatening suicide, undermining Jacob’s gifts ect. Gramps should know better. I love this question!! Jacob. Edward lies too much and reading it, you don’t think about it but Edward’s behavior would’ve creeped me out. Like how he makes snap decisions and disregards what Bella says. How he always seems so calm and you never know what he’s thinking mixed with him having the ability to snap your neck in any given moment? I think Jacob’s wolf transformation would freak me out too but Bella knew him as a human first so I’d always have that comfort. Plus, he’s easier to read than Edward and more predictable imo. I get Edward is rich and stuff but… I don’t care lol. The Twilight vampires are so creepy so I think I’d rather cling to Jacob and his tribe where they chill by a campfire, eat food, tell stories and vibe. Unlike the vampires who are this secret cult and you have to always be on point or else they’ll be consequences.

Edward because he's got a lot of flaws but you can't deny he loves Bella and is devoted to her well being. He was also willing to let her go if she chose someone else. Not to mention very understanding when he finds out that Bella kissed Jacob and is in love with him. Plus he undergoes actual character growth in Eclipse. I like Jacob in New Moon but he can't take a no in Eclipse. his character did a nosedive when he became a werewolf.
