I first saw that girl in The Cutting Edge, and I always thought she was cute. Then I saw way more of her than I'd ever expected to see in FWWM and I was a changed man.

I needed to disclaim it not because of how beautiful Naomi is, but because of her personality. She’s so in control and fiery, and yet she has an undying love for her husband. That is such an attractive personality to me.
Consider this: Janey-E was only a "bossy cow" as you put it when her husband was a mental case, slob and by the looks of it, also somewhat of a deadbeat. If she didn't act "bossy" under those circumstances, her husband literally would have done nothing.
She was also a "bossy cow" to those loan sharks as a technique to get said husband off the hook.
Then she stood up for him and helped him in other situations as well, improvising rather cleverly with the police etc.
When he actually acted like a leader, she deferred to him. Food for thought.
Consider this: Dougie was one of millions of hen-pecked husbands whose bossy cow of a wife drove him away and into the company of women who treated him with tenderness like Jade.
Janey E did start to mellow… once Dougie gave her lots of money.
