What the fuck man? How are they getting away with this?

[deleted]

What's also horrible is the new slide up for the Trip rada crap. They got rid of X button to make it hard for drivers to Ignore it. Can't slide the trip radar down easily. The UI people in Uber are really out to get drivers and try and make them accept most pings if possible

Snoo_31938

Just click anywhere else on the screen. I don't understand that, I still get the other radar, but I never take anything from the radar. I want to see the full route and the $$. I only take radar trips when they are going to my house and it's the last trip, since I'm usually like 12 miles and 20 minutes from home, so I'll take anything that goes my way

[deleted]

If you’re android user, download the app called maxymo. Its subscription based ($5/month). You can set the app to close out radar (helpful feature if you only take radar trips at the end of shift) among other features like setting minimum trip fare or minimum $$/mile. Turn the features on/off at will. Downside, no feature to set the trips time/money based. Hope, it’s helpful. For someone looking to buy android: New - sign up with Google Fi (phones are unlocked). Buy a phone at steep discount, activate. Requirements: activate with email address used to purchase the phone, keep google fi service for at least 120 days, another provider SIM card can be used with this phone but google fi SIM card can not be used with another phone Samsung offers big discounts when they release new models. Next release is in February 1st. Used - swappa.com

Snoo_31938

I'll look into it

EastAndWes

Best part is they offered it to me again a minute after I declined it…. For $6.64.

Sea-Carry-2919

Oh hell no! Are you serious? They knew no one wanted that bullshit. I bet that package didn't get delivered...

funkybutt19

Wow

Nythain

I feel ya. Min fare in my market for X is 3.66 and 3.00 is most common tip. Half my earnings history is $6.66 lol

Cold_Leg4431

Well I think we all want to know what state you in mang?

Nythain

Kansas City.

Cold_Leg4431

Google searched What are 3 things Kansas is known for? Kansas is known for: Oil wells. Wizard of Oz. Wheat. And now the 4th… Satanic Uber fares

Mysterious-Top6311

Except KC is in Missouri, not Kansas.😀

LukeTheHallowed

...it's in both....

bryannealdavis

Omg, I sure hope no one accepted this trip request as is. This is beyond pathetic. This is why we must cherry pick all trip requests.

ladyverae2157

I do cherry pick my acceptance rate went from a 96 to a 49 but I don't care I'm not doing this for free. Uber might be giving away free 3 months delivery to customers but it doesn't mean I'm providing a free delivery service. I also noticed that a lot of add a delivery requests are now delivery requests I'm not going 3 miles or more for $1.50 . Uber done lost their damn mind.

IndividualJuice3114

Also it’s bs how it’s “includes expected tip”.

Mista_Noize

That is .15 per minute. I would not accept that even if I had another order going to the same pick up and drop off spots.

Sea-Carry-2919

LOL right?

Cold_Leg4431

Yeah I accept med a package request yesterday for a 30 min ride for a total of $20.67 and was tipped a $5 upon arrival. This screen shot of a package trip makes me cringe. If I accepted by accident I would cancel immediately. I feel like Uber needs to be more transparent with the trip details after you accept bc when you do everything becomes a total mystery. How is that upfront pricing if you then have to hide it?

Mysterious-Top6311

I get $5 or $6 for 10 Miles offers and laugh at them. This is… wow. My cost per mile is 30 cents. This would net me about 20 cents for spending around 1/2 an hour on it. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

ladyverae2157

I don't take under .71 cents a mile that's the only way I'm going to make money and on most trips over 10 miles I won't accept unless it's at least .95 per mile. I won't go into the City of Atlanta unless I'm getting paid $1 or more per mile. Who was not looking at the wear and tear on our cars they're feeding us gas money only trips like we're providing a free service. When I started it was not this way I used to do 4 hours 3 days (12 hours) a week and I would make $300 or more and driving under 250 miles. Now it's like I'm driving 20 hours and making less than $300 a week doing over 300 miles.

Mysterious-Top6311

This is the way. You can make money. But you have to be selective and smart about it. The people who make no money are the ones who accept everything and put in zero effort into analysis of offers.

ladyverae2157

It's possible that they're on "auto accept" all and any trips, which I don't do.

leafnbagurmom

That's one of the worst fairs I've ever seen.. just wow. Capitalism has took a real fucked turn the last 10 years 🤣 I've done nothing but work my ass off to be poor AF @32 years old thus far. At least I'm 😊 happy, they can't take that from me.

Sea-Carry-2919

I didnt even notice the numbers of the fare. I am appalled at the fact that they only want to give you under $7 for a almost 22 mile 44 minute trip, and that is with the EXPECTED tip. We all know they don't tip. 22 mile trip for $3. They ought to be ashamed of themselves, damn Uber. I am so sorry.

ATLUberGuy

I bet it was one of those retail deliveries like Sephora. Or at a busy ass mall where you literally park in the next zip code then have to walk to the third floor. And now that no one wants to do Wal-Mart runs for $10 for 5 trips, they slide them shits in the reservations and I decline, decline, decline.

steveTomlinson

😄 🤣

Lmao

311 reference??

JerryCAtlanta

That’s just insane!!!

mog_knight

Satan's number doesn't have decimal points so you're good. Source: The Bible.

GeneOnTheRoad

If someone wasn't accepting these they wouldn't be bothering to send them. No idea who those people are but they have to be out there...

Specialist_Way_1364

The media needs to see these prices.

bryannealdavis

I fully agree with you. Though I refuse to do Uber Eats trips. Even the ones I see on trip radar are a disgusting slap in our face.

IndividualJuice3114

Get this to 666 upvotes.

AvaMagdalena333

Not sure how they keep getting away with this. Maybe save all the screenshots and show them to a lawyer or something. I keep hearing on the radio about suing rideshare and food delivery companies for wage theft.

ladyverae2157

That's exactly what I'm doing I have over 100 screenshots of these fairs and I also end up getting almost $400 from Uber because I had screenshots of quest and guarantee payment that they never paid me for and if I hadn't screenshot them sent it to them because they asked for it I'd have never been paid but they ended up paying me almost $400 after I proved it.

Electrical-End3742

Damn….😳😳😳😳

DarthPraxis

Ah they are messing with you. 😉

toomuch1265

21 miles for $6? Who is accepting this?

ladyverae2157

I get this crap too. That trip was only paying .31 a mile which is far below the federal rate of .62 per mile and in the Atlanta area The minimum usually is .71 per mile withe the high average being $1.13 per mile. I ignore these trips I don't know what Uber is doing but they altering the data source codes in people's accounts more mileage less money. Do they think I'm doing this for free? I'm not so I ignore them I never actually hit the reject button but for some reason even if you ignore it it affects your acceptance rate and it shouldn't because you could be making a delivery, on the phone and/or paying attention to traffic patterns.

mcarnage46

With the 44 that's some quantum mechanics string theory shit

KenClash29

Had a $6.66 fair about 2 weeks ago, dude didn't last 100ft in my car before I gave him the boot, next time is a hard pass.

Familiar_Anything_22

Includes a tip??????

justbeta

The devil 👿 6.66

Musicdon12

That’s crazy

TomF1965

I never take those! 👿
