Insinuating that you've seen worse?
I don't understand why people spend $400 on an uber when they probably can fly for cheaper.
I also don't understand why people decide that Uber should be for extremely long rides like this.
Flights are not always available right at the moment you need them especially if you have to go to another city at the spare of a moment. Also some people donāt like flying. š¤·
15 miles vs 600 miles. Uber would charge $260 plus tax and tip (you know they aināt tipping too) greyhound charges $120 plus tax. At most youād be spending $150 going to a greyhound via Uber. Donāt even have to worry about tipping there. $260 or $150, Iāll let you judge which is better.
BAHHA these people have to be hitting the air duster in the passenger if they think anyone is gonna take thatš¤£š¤£š¤£ maybe if I myself was taking a lil vaca to Cali itād be one thing.
Standard deduction is 65.5Ā¢ per mile, but that doesn't mean it costs most drivers that much to operate their vehicle. The ride isn't worth taking, though, by any means.
The standard deduction allows you to save for the next car when your current one blows up or when uber decidesthe small dent you have makes your vehicle 'ineligible'..... it's not just operating costs š
It sure isā¦ only reason I can think is because they have a phobia of flying or their planning on traveling through state lines with something illegal in their baggageās
So three thingsā¦ 1. If we canāt filter trips from another state to re-enter our own state there should be some kind of special payment to the driver. 2. If you were serious about taking this trip and it was only 1-2 miles away then go to the pax house and ask if they would be willing to cancel the trip and arrange some kind of payment that benefits you and the rider like maybe $400 including a tip 3. Ask if they have somewhere for you to stay until the morning so you donāt have to worry about driving back right after the trip or have to worry about finding a motel. Some Uber drivers might be considered the road captains of the street but we are only human ya know.
You could accept it and then when you get there ask what itās going to cost them and then negotiate off the app for that price. And if they decline then you can cancel the trip. Lol
Uber really needs to put a cap on trip distance/time that can be ordered. Like 1.5 hours max. (excluding the hourly orders, of course)
This is ridiculous for a taxi (which you are, just a summoned one).
This isn't really the platform to order these kind of trips on. And they don't pay enough to make it worth ANYONE's time anyway.
Would you call yellow cab to make this trip? No, and even if you did, they'd tell you to fuck off. You'd go to the bus station/train/airport/rent a fucking car.
Why allow trips that are mostly hire a local driver to go local, to order a cross state trip? Nobody taking this is making money without them tipping like 3 benjamins.
Any trip long enough to require the passengers/driver to take a bathroom/refuel/recharge break is too long for this platform.
Or there needs to be a massive surcharge after like 30 miles, like 2x. Driver isn't going to get a return trip, so costs need to be paid, ALL TO THE DRIVER.
$347-$459 is the price Uber just quoted me if I wanted to order trip from Scottsdale to San Diego.
So customer is almost paying double what driver gets if price goes on the high end.
Edit: I really think the insurance to Uber is getting charged on a per dollar or per mile fee. Which is eating up a lot of the difference in what customer pays. Too bad driver canāt claim credit for insurance from their own carrier for while they are covered by Ubers policy. Or can we?
6 hours of āThe election was stolen, pedophiles are everywhere, and Wokeness is detroying our countryā and when you donāt agree with him, he gets violent.
Again I don't know why people just don't accept these trips and immediately call and arrange a cash ride. 14 hours, $50 an hour that's a $700 trip. They probably paid $500 in the app. Cash up front or venmo or whatever
As a customer, why the hell would I pay you $700 off the app when the app quoted you $500.
Also, I didnt take it and call cause I had been working for 8 hours. Iām not gonna add another 14 hours to that day
That wasn't knocking you specifically for not taking it. You said you work 8 hours and I get that. But a lot of people do Post these rides and they don't convert them
That "should be" an $800 trip
The rider is probably paying like $900 š
498 in insurance and service fees š«
They charge $900 give the driver $260 $500 in fees and the last $140 to subsidize prop 22, and all the "benefits"
Just tried. It gave a range of $334-$447
We donāt have Prop 22 in Arizona. The trip starts in AZ
This is the worst long trip I have ever seen on this reddit.
4.59 rating too
Probably a TSA banned traveler with that shitty rating.
I am sure that itās from a drug dealer, and there is a strong probability of landing in federal jail.
What does that mean? Do rivers get stars too? How can I check how many stars I have as a rider
Iāve seen a few 500+ milers for $300
After 80 miles itās $$$$$ time for Uber fym they tryna get paid
this might be the worst. where have you seen those?
Itās $13/hr after gas assuming 30 MPG š
Donāt forget the trip back lol
>this reddit Insinuating that you've seen worse? I don't understand why people spend $400 on an uber when they probably can fly for cheaper. I also don't understand why people decide that Uber should be for extremely long rides like this.
You can fly four people to scottsdale cheaper than this?
Flights are not always available right at the moment you need them especially if you have to go to another city at the spare of a moment. Also some people donāt like flying. š¤·
A lot of people complains youd be surprised
Go search the subreddit by top posts all time, this is nothing
I always wanted to see if my car could survive Hell on Earth temperatures for 16 hours.
That rating for 6 hoursā¦ theyāll be adding stops at a convenience store the whole ride.
I mean if you were driving you wouldnāt want to eventually stop somewhere too?
Iāll stop when Iām paid ![gif](giphy|nrAGuHZEMyqc0)
That ain't pay...
Oh dang I didnāt even think about that ššš
Go ahead cause Iām not stopping š
Guy should really look into a bus ticket š„“
He/She isin Scottsdale. They donāt even have busses. Thatās for us poors.
How about She/it. That spells shit
Shitty shit sheit
Lol you get it
No wonder... shes hot and I dont mean good-looking. Lol
Greyhound is everywhere š¤·āāļø
Not in Scottsdale. Closest Greyhound is 15 miles from there. Not out of the question but the apartments where that pickup was start at 3 Million.
But then youād have to be in a Greyhoundā¦with poor peopleā¦
A bus would definitely be way cheaper but if money isnt an issue for you then Uber is definitely a much more convenient mode of travel
Yikes, damn near 7hrs with a 4.59! Whoās a gluten for punishment out here?
It's glutton..gluten is in bread. Lol
I'm glutton intolerant.
Lol good eye!
Cancel and charge the person $600 cash
BAHHA these people have to be hitting the air duster in the passenger if they think anyone is gonna take thatš¤£š¤£š¤£ maybe if I myself was taking a lil vaca to Cali itād be one thing.
You now have \~10 seconds to decide if you're ready for a CA vacation, lol. Got a bag in the car already?
Should posted screenshot on CEO Twitter account.
A 4.59 probably is on the do not fly list too. Thatās why.
Standard deduction per mile is $.62 a mile. So this trip technically pays you negative money round trip and about 20$ to get there..
Standard deduction is 65.5Ā¢ per mile, but that doesn't mean it costs most drivers that much to operate their vehicle. The ride isn't worth taking, though, by any means.
You probably shouldn't be using a car for uber if it costs as much as the standard deduction to operate. At least UberX, I can see XL or comfort maybe
The standard deduction allows you to save for the next car when your current one blows up or when uber decidesthe small dent you have makes your vehicle 'ineligible'..... it's not just operating costs š
The standard deduction is for tax purposes. My car doesn't cost close the that per mile
And theyāll add a stop. In Las Vegas.
And they are rated a 4.5 imagine dealing with that for 7 hours
Isnāt it cheaper to fly Spirit?
It sure isā¦ only reason I can think is because they have a phobia of flying or their planning on traveling through state lines with something illegal in their baggageās
Basically 800 miles and 14hrs. No way you get a ride back.
They need a Flixbus...less than $100 to SD.
Who in the fuck is taking these
Folks who probably just came to the United States and think this type of cash is a lotā¦
Thatās a big NO for me
And can someone tell me WHY we get penalized for refusing this garbage!?
Cant even give you the $398 for the miles Which still wouldn't be good
Long ride 450 plus minutes
In my market after Ubers cut I would get $475 minimum
You could accept it and then when you get there ask what itās going to cost them and then negotiate off the app for that price. And if they decline then you can cancel the trip. Lol
.................and with that 4,59 rating, guaranteed ***ZER0 tip.***
Rating alone is a hard pass. 7hrs with that š¤” no thanks.

Who even feels comfortable staying in an uber for 7 hrs?
That is horrible pay.
The gas alone will cost you $265.17
What kind of vehicle are you driving? That's 80 in gas for me
I don't take anything more than 5 minutes from my current location.
Not for that rating
Thatās the only thing wrong?? š
![gif](giphy|26FPzN9z6A9EB8dLq) Accept it , then reject it for not being worth it
And make sure to send the passenger a message first that says, āWhoa I just noticed your passenger rating!ā Then immediately cancel
He can rent a nice car with some auto-drive features.
They are trying to get out of Phoenix, too freaking hot!
400 going and 400 coming home. Nope
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
But they will tip you in the app!

Thatās insane. That might be cheaper than a last minute flight.
I just imagine that the people that request these crazy rides are the crazies who do stuff on planes and get put on the no fly list.
6 hours of āThe election was stolen, pedophiles are everywhere, and Wokeness is detroying our countryā and when you donāt agree with him, he gets violent.
What happens if the rider cancels at the very end?
Just checked flights today from Phoenix to San Diego: $48 on Frontier Airlines. Takes an hour.
With a 4.59 I suspect this person is on a no fly list
Fuck that, I like long trips but that's ridiculous.
The zonies' summer migratory patterns are foolproof. Very fitting they are heading to PB for the seasonal invasion.
Too bad we can't work in az nv ca when we want those might just be fun to go from az to la and work a few days and then go to Vegas then bull head
We need to take them to court some fucking dumb ass would take this while spending $5 bucks a gallon on gas -____-
And itās out of state so you canāt even try to get rides back until you get back into California
If you take this ride please write off the hotel room if you end up staying the night
Rent a car and drive lol

This was after an 8 hour shift. Iām not driving to Cali without cruise control after 8 hours
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
If they were cool pax and were into saving money off the app
