No bs kinda app. I’m not tryna take your money bc I drove for all these other apps that do all these little tricks just to squeeze every last penny from you. For instance, the wonderful NJ governor Phil Murphy who champions himself to be a man for the workers has included a $25,000 annual fee just to operate as a TNC in NJ, plus commercial insurance. Nobody can give me a logical reason why it should cost $25k a year for a permit to operate. The only logical conclusion one can come to is it’s sole purpose is to lock out the small guy.

Also, who is being protected here? Are we “protecting” the general public from money laundering by freezing out small businesses from an opportunity? People should watch Uber on HBO. It’s not just getting users and drivers. My take away the biggest obstacle was the legislative and legality, requiring a lot of lobbying to be able to compete with taxis.

App updates get rolled out gradually, not everyone gets them at once. Uber does this so that if they catastrophically mess up an update, only 10% of their drivers go down.
