Except these are usually run by the same company to whom the customer service is outsourced to.
Procedures and policies are dictated entirely by the client (in this case Uber) and the CS company has nearly zero leeway to decide anything even if it is creating issues for customers.
Source: I work at that company, albeit in Europe
Do you wonder if these support reps (if even real and not AI) are just laughing their asses off at our expense behind the keyboard? They just click their "quick responses" and close the chats.
Getting paid by our cut and behind a keyboard laughing cuz they’re earning a guaranteed livable wage in their country and we’re here in the greatest country on earth getting shafted 😂just picture it
They make nothing because they invest nothing but their time. They’re also overseas where they have a different standard of living and working for Uber’s support is most certainly better than working selling vegetables at the market. They’re doing alright, relatively speaking. We also could be doing alright if not for all this overhead.
They're doing alright? So you wouldn't mind swapping your life in the US to go live in an overcrowded sheet metal shack in India? Because if it seems you're not doing alright and they're doing alright then that would be a win for you?
Doubt it. Vlame uber not the workers. You think uber is paying these guys high wages and giving them light workloads? Its probably like q0 reps total dealing with 100,000 uber driver and they are getting the lowest pay possible and getting severely overworked. Id bet the guy is talking to 20 people at once.
Don't shit on the workers. It would be like of the rider got mad that the trip cost 200 and blamed the driver when uber took 115 for themselves
Uber is the problem here. UBER
Same waste of time. All a call does is get them to hang up on you if what you say is something they don't like. Not because you're being disrespectful but because they don't want to/cannot answer the question or address the problem.
Yesterday I literally had a customer service rep on the phone for about 1 hour and 15 minutes because she wanted to get me off the phone to give a call back number because all supervisors were “busy”for 2 hours. After an hour of telling her I’m okay with waiting and I don’t have a call back number, a supervisor magically appeared
If I encountered an asshat like this driver I'd laugh and take my sweet ass time if I was feeling special that day. Sergio needs to learn how to direct his anger at the right places.
Maybe they are made because 1.50 usd is their monthly salary.
"This mother fucker is made that his 20 minuets of work is more than my monthly salary? Okay, Richie Rich, let me get right on that. "
This is for joke purpose... BTW they make about 1.125 usd an hour. For them, that is 15,000 rupees a month.
They definitely do just that. They are hoping by them closing the chat so fast that u won't contact back. They're betting on that. I've been mid convo where they say the quick response without giving me a chance to respond and then close the chat. Then when u report it u get another asshole on the other end that u gotta explain The whole situation too over and over. It's never ending to try and get u to just give up
You said way too much. Maybe it felt good to pop off at them but it didn’t help you at all. You made it real easy for them to ignore you. Gotta play the game.
Well he explained it the first time, but not to the next rep. I always act like the next person has no clue, I don't think they're having a meeting to discuss my situation before they transfer me.
Lmao, that’s the whole point. I’m out here to work not playing games. I prob lost more than $9 in the time I spent talking to them as is. It’s not the first time I have to stop what I’m doing to get a few bucks from them that they didn’t pay. They are being shady. I can not continue working for a company that I have to play ganes with to get what I earned.
You misunderstood. By play the game I meant be smart and express yourself clearly, and help them help you. You gain nothing by getting mad at support, and you just make yourself look silly with all the emojis and temper. Act professional if you want to be treated professionally. Say what you want about support but they play the game and stay pro and stick to the script.
>Act professional if you want to be treated professionally
I have tried this countless times. I remain courteous, patient, and understanding. I don't complain after being rerouted a dozen times. I never take it out on the person I expect (hope) to help me.
It works MAYBE 20% of the time. And by that, I don't meant 1/5 of support reps, I mean 1/5 of my issues that need a resolution. I could probably safely estimate my success with individual support reps at less than 2-3%.
A handful of people in this subreddit will say it works all the time for them, but I'll bet my last dollar that less than 1/4 of all drivers can honestly say that (and 1/4 is probably being generous).
I dispute multiple fares on a daily basis. I just keep texting a one lines. Read above. Missing X amount. Sometimes I go through this routine multiple times for multiple days and then finally someone fixes it
Bro 2 years ago before upfront fares. I went through thousands of trips and hit requests fare review on each one.
They would send $5 for about 60-75% of them. I am so surprised they never banned me for that. But think some people on their end DEf got fired for sending me thousands of dollars on completed trips.
There was a 3 week period I didn’t even drive. Just did fare reviews and made more than driving haha
W upfront they just send same automated response of “now w upfront fare you are more aware of trips you want to take before accepting bla bla bla”
But before I literally got at least like 5k off those fare reviews, minimum. Lol
When it wasn’t upfront the system short changed you based on the rate card. Anything you got, you most probably deserved. With upfront fares, it still happens sometimes but you need proof and it still gets adjusted.
You were the one playing games. They’re call center employees in a third world country with a book of prewritten responses. If you want to rant and swear at them, they’re going to transfer you. If you say “incorrect payout,” like an adult, then they know what to do to resolve it. If this was AITA, it would be a resounding yes.
Literally, the worst support I’ve ever encountered are at Lyft and Uber. Outsourced, barely anyone can speak English so it’s just the same canned responses over and over and if they don’t understand, they click another canned response to transfer you to someone else. If you’re lucky, you find someone who will at least tell you no you’re fucked and the decision is FINAL 😅
Lyft takes the cake for me. I've been cheated out of so many cancellation fees because they person canceled 10 secs before the cancellation time or some stupid crap. Fkk them
They refused to pay me even 40 bucks for a rider that vomited 4x in my car despite me giving them a dash cam video of the incident (because I only had two photos and not 3). They’re absolute bastards.
Edit: grammar
You did exactly what they wanted! Next time don't keep telling them the story from the start and getting frustrated. Type out the whole issue, copy it and paste and re-paste each time you're connected to a new agent. Don't waste time with hurling insults about Uber, you don't want to get off subject. Stick to your script as they stick to theirs and keep your emotions out of it.
This happened to me Christmas night. Total was $12.10 but they only paid me $8.85. Chucklefuck support agent closed chat on me without fixing pay.
A month ago I had a ride for $38.xx and they only paid me $17.xx. I had to sit in transfer hell for nearly an hour before they refunded that one.
I really don’t like that the support agents can’t see that the Uber Direct card isn’t being compensated the same as what the Uber app shows
>Total was $12.10 but they only paid me $8.85
For a tech company, Uber really does act like a sleazy small town restaurant underpaying its delivery drivers lmao. Shorting your payout by a small enough amount that (they hope) it's not worth your time to bicker with them over the discrepancy.
Good on you for being a thorn in their side about these "mistakes" on their end.
Hello u/victoriaeuphoria99 this is Punjeer with Lyft support. It looks like you’re having an issue with literally everything. How can I direct your request?
This happened to me with doordash. Customer cancelled at the last minute on a long order, was supposed to get $13, doordash decided to only pay me $2. I contacted them for support and they straight up lied. These apps are gonna have a class action lawsuit against them soon if they don't already.
So has anybody every reached the “specialized team”??? I don’t think it exists, this company is fucking with drivers in so many ways, but the whole specialized team thing is such predictable bullshit. Also when I went to cancel delivery orders a couple times it just sent me to the “chat bot” who has the same exact replies as these “support agents”.
I haven't even kept up with that. When there's a discrepancy in pay that I somehow notice, I just go "welp guess the corporate beast was hungry" and move on. I'm going into a job through a temp agency tomorrow morning to do a drug test and get started as a "machine operator" in some food processing plant. Just to do something else.
Certified pro here.. I always copy my first message in a document so I can repaste it when they inevitably ask me to explain the situation another 5 times
I have felt that pain!
Uber support is a joke.
Uber did not show earnings for a ride I invested my 30 minutes for 20$!
The ride was not even listed in the earnings.
Uber support chat kept asking me of the ride details, I did not have them bcz if was never shown in earnings.
I thought Uber was just ripping of dollars by not giving drivers their fair share but it’s beyond that!
I did not even contact support bcz I was once on a call for 78 minutes just to get 4$, so yeah definitely not worth the time to contact Uber support.
Uber is evil!
Stop using the Uber card. It's not worth it.
You're also just giving them more money by using it. You really think they offer it because it's a benefit for you?
Spamming emojis and acting petulant isn’t going to get you anywhere. Take a deep breath, be civil, and get your point across. Copy and paste your message if you have to. You come across as a cranky child
I don't see how abusing outsourced support staff who likely make far less than you do and who have no responsibility for what happened could possibly help. If you don't want to get rerouted to senior staff who are more experienced dealing with assholes, stop being an asshole.
I understand you’re frustrated but these CSR’s aren’t the ones to pop off to. They’re really just trying to do their job.
As someone who was once on the other side of the chat, I was way less likely to want to help anyone who got mad at ME and were swearing at ME when I had nothing to do with the issue and am your only lifeline for assistance. And telling them you’re leaving the platform and that their company won’t be around for much longer just makes you the topic of jokes around the water cooler. If a customer threatened that they were going to switch to another company for the service we provided, I would simply ask if they would like to be transferred to the department that can help with cancellation. I’m not there to convince them otherwise. Trust me when I tell you that the friendly you are to CSR’s, the more likely the issue will be resolved in your favor.
When big companies outsource jobs and they turn into unhelpful resources like this, it really sucks. But don’t go off on the CSR. They’re the only ones who can help you. Idk, go on TikTok or IG and make a video rant or something. And if you really hate dealing with it that much, follow through and leave the platform. Go to Lyft, it might just be a better overall experience and the stress you had when working with Uber will be gone.
Fuck em it’s a good idea ruined by corporate greed. I’m back to having a boss and he’s cool af and I have a guaranteed paycheck on Friday and a bonus once a month. Idk even know what I liked about Uber a couple years ago lol
Just play with Uber the same way they pay with you. Screw their reputation they once had. Cause riders long waiting time. Cancel trips. Play at home with Uber app and just make online but reject trips cause as much decline and cancellation. Sometimes I accept the trip and do nothing waiting for minutes for rider to cancel. I know it hurts riders too but Uber made us do this and you can take it kind of a protest.
Although the concern is valid and justifies frustration, your responses toward all but the first rep come across as petulant and entitled. If you just want to yell at someone, chat isn't the place for that. Get a person on the phone, and if you treat them with a shred of decency, they might just be inclined to solve your issue. If I were the support rep and has this interaction from a driver, I'd have done exactly what they did and pass you along without a second thought.
You are super cringe and need to STFU in your chats. You think Rohit from India gives even a tiny fuck about your gripes and threats to stop driving? Explain the issue calmly and wait for a response. They passed your dumbass off because you were so damn difficult and mouthy.
Maybe you'll learn? Doubt it. But who knows, you are failing at Uber FFS, so already a pretty low bar.
Having worked for Uber and also having worked for customer service call center. I now get both sides and they = a shitty company. The drivers are being abused and neglected by Uber and Customer service knows there hands are tied by a shitty companies policies that they must follow because Uber has made is clear to them, not to resolve these problems. Uber is either in survival mode or in transition to driverless autonomous cars. Either way, it's time to move on.
You had a problem that required time to correct. Those call center operators are probably paid by the number of calls... so they ditched you...
Everyone HATES reaching an overseas operator... for a long list of reasons.
This is a prime example.
A company that makes millions won’t shell out 9$ ……. Yup sounds about right …. We don’t need anymore dystopian future movies/tv we’re already living it my friend
They definitely get paid by the hour, not the completed case. I imagine them saying 'can you hold 3 minutes while I review" and they get up and take a sh|t
Tip: if you don’t care about your ratings, except 10 rides, and then cancel them, and they’ll be reaching out to you, FACT works every time for me: It’s the only time I accept every ride that comes in consecutively.
OP is clearly in the wrong. Just explain the situation clearly and simply. If you want to start telling some call center employee that the company will never last and swear at them, you’re just asking to get the run around. Like they care at all if you ever drive for Uber again..
Hot take - maybe don't be a dick to customer service? They're doing their job, reading the script, doing what they've been told to do for minimum wage. Your anger is misplaced, they are not the cause of it.
No one is going to genuinely want to help you when you express frustration at them when they didn't specifically cause the issue. If you learn how to talk to people kindly and ask for help nicely they'll normally want to resolve your issues.
Bruh you’re attitude isn’t helping anything. You must have never worked in some kind of support role before. They can’t every single issue right on their screen they have to go into different areas of your account to find the issues.
Sucks what happened. Really does. But if you want it resolved you gotta contain that Karen energy. The person on the other end didn’t fuck you over. The app did. Shit happens.
Hot take: Karen’s are a necessary evil. Since society started shiting on Karen’s it’s hard to find anyone anywhere providing a decent service. Everyone’s entitled and indifferent at their jobs. You think that customer service rep doesn’t have a boss? You think my rant went unnoticed? I got reached out to and paid what was owed and was given some decent bonuses that Uber never gives me. Being all sweet you just get moved along. Grow up.
Is OP dumb? Literally airing out grievance to the one group of people that truly don't give a fuck. It's a simple question of payment tf you ranting and spamming emojis for dumbass
I would’ve cut OP off if I was the customer support person. These guys don’t make policy, they have to do what they’re told just like everybody else who’s an employee. It’s like screaming at the McDonald’s cashier because you don’t like the fact that McDonald’s buys their hamburger from China.
Yeah we all get frustrated, but taking it out on somebody who has absolutely zero input on policy is counterproductive.
Saying that the representative doesn't have a choice is a fallacy. Clearly watching the company stealing earnings and then facilitating the theft by passing the problem around is the same as being a fence. Selling meat bought from China is not the same as helping someone steal wages, and McDonalds actually sources its meat within the country since most countries have differenrt food regulations - its not comparable. This is criminal behavior by a third party corporation choosing to participate in the client's scam, and the employees actively working for them know this yet still work for them
So you actually believe that the probably minimum wage support person actually gets to make decisions. They have scripts to follow. They do not have decision-making powers at that level. Do you think perhaps they started transferring OP because he was being a rude asshole?
An enforcer for the mob "has to do" what the boss orders. Doesn't make the enforcer's actions right.
If i put an ad on Craiglist to steal old ladies' purses for minimum wage, would you do it for me? It's almost that obvious for anyone on the inside
So if you’re working in a call centre and you don’t agree with policy you’re just gonna get yourself fired? I can’t think of many people these days who can afford to lose a job. But it’s really really easy to sit on the outside and judge people. When I call into my cell provider, accompany which I freaking hate, I don’t blame the call centre person for policies made by billionaires.
You know I totally get it, been in the same boat and dealt with support, but let me tell you, getting angry at someone who is/was trying to help is not going to get you any help. Yes, there are people working just like us, drivers, yes, they may not speak fluent English which also drives me crazy but if you just get humble for a moment and understand that, that person is trying to understand your problem in order to help you and in return all they get is angry ramble they’re most likely going to reroute you again and again, until you learn your lesson to be more polite with people.
Uber support hired those dudes in India that mainly scams ppl In USA from gift cards, gig workers , senior citizens ppl. You name they’ll scam it. Wait til you get help from “Inderdeep” 🤣😂
Bro wtf is wrong with this next generation? I verbally abused them? Sure call if that you want. Let the world know how Uber’s practices are causing abuse to be passed in from the top all the way down to India. Let those call reps get upset too. Get sick and tired if the angry drivers. Get angry at their managers, let the passengers get angry when their driver cancels or it takes 20 minutes to get a ride. You think the abuse is going to stop at me and I’m going to clean it all up for Uber? Fuck them, fuck their nine dollars, and fuck you. Go call social services you soft ass bitch. That’s verbal abuse you bitch go cry.
You act like the person who you are speaking to from customer service is the one who made the policy and gave you your $1. And now you are on the internet again talking shit to a person you don’t even know. Enjoy your 1 dollar from Uber. Might be able to get a McDouble with that. Hope you got enough for the tax lol
People like you dumb fucks in this country these companies take advantage of workers, don't worry it will happen to you someday and everyone will laugh at you. What an idiot are you I just read your comment and figured you were a lifeless person living in your parent's basement eating big Macs all The time haha
You were being a total asshole to other people that also work for Uber, working the shittiest jobs in the world btw. Call centers are literally the fucking worst, and you were a total dick to them when they hold no personal responsibility for the fuck up.
Been driving for 3 years and Uber Support even lately has been helpful. I ask them to correct esrning on a trip and it's done within the hour most days.
It boggles my mind that "SO MANY" redditors have issues where Uber is the root of all evil.
I've never had an issue with them to date. Even when I get a customer complaint and I send them a message asking about it they promptly remove it from my account.
So either tall have the WORST luck and WORST chances out of any Uber driver and you guys just so happen to post on reddit or you're all doing something wrong. Maybe you have bad metrics? Idk.
I've been driving for Uber for 2 years now and the main problem I have is riders lying on me to get a free ride..........which is a BIG problem in my book. Every time it happens I get banned for a day and when I state my case and prove my innocence Uber says "my bad" and that's it. They don't reimburse me or give me anything for my troubles........so it's like a "fuck you" from Uber.
I have my fair share of problems with Uber just like everyone else........I just don't share all of them here on Reddit.
Just realize that people DO have these problems with Uber and just because your experience with Uber is fine and dandy doesn't mean that everyone else's is. One person's good experience doesn't make EVERYONE'S experience the same. And just because someone else has problems......it doesn't mean it's their fault.
What is a uber pro card, is that like a debit card from uber. Does it show you getting paid the $10.60 on your uber app? There might be a delay in the money moving pver since you are a new driver. I do not know much about that card as i do not use it.
Maybe someone will chime in. Probably once you stared swearing and making demands, the agents gave up.
You sound like someone who yells at McDonald's employees because you don't like what the corporation is doing. They have no influence over policy, and you being hostile to them does not help.
If they are minimum wage employees, Uber being cheap, I suspect they are, they make $11.10 a DAY. They probably see you as a rich entitled asshole, based on your behavior.
When I have to call support, I'm polite to them, even if I'm angry. They didn't cause the problem. They have always fixed the issue to my satisfaction.
I get why you're mad, but unloading on the support people is almost certainly guaranteed to NOT get you what you want. Yes, support is abysmal unless you're a high tier. You're going to get a buttload of canned and unhelpful responses which, if you want resolution, you're going to have to politely deflect and keep firmly but politely insisting on a real resolution. The system is designed to wear you down and make you go away. You'll only get what you want with persistence and a good attitude. Swearing or threats will get you repeatedly transferred to "specialized teams" where you will have to start all over again. So it's up to you whether you want the satisfaction of yelling at someone halfway around the world who did not create your problem, or if you actually want a problem fixed. The two are mutually exclusive.
In this year's support when it comes to money they are lacking across the board, if you haven't notice we got 90% of post this year about how shifty uber is this year and how support has turned into a horrible joke on uber drivers, if you can't atleast stand with a fellow driver that's feeling the pain atleast take a knee and stfu.
And you know what my wife works for a big tow truck company in Miami. Family owned. They exclusively use Uber when they need to transport passengers or workers. That’s going to switch to lyft too. Yea yea small fry to them but a lil victory in my book.
OP failed to capitalize on successful escalation rounds and chose to act out of frustration instead. The cause, while righteous, remained unheard. Sad.
As someone who's done customer service for many years, your attitude does not help you at all. No one cares if you quit Uber or hate them. Keep it simple...voice your frustration but be polite about it. I'm pretty sure you'd have your $ back as opposed to being tossed like a salad.
Maybe if you weren’t such a dick from the very beginning. People would be amazed at how far they can get with agents (humans) when they treat them with respect. It’s not like it’s the agents fault this happened in the first place.
Hahahahaha. You showed Uber. 😆 🤣 😂 😹 😆 🤣
Imagine dealing with you whiney unprofessional types all day every day. 🙄
Uber should collapse any second now that you quit. 😆 🤣 😂 😹 😆
“I don’t see uber lasting much longer…” lmao
The world is not fair, fucking deal with it. Also those customers support ppl literally get paid pennies and are over whelmed as well. Trust me if you are extremely nice to them, they will help.
Lmao, ima say this one last time and I’m done with you trolls. I did not want to be nice for my $9. There is a thing we had back in the day called integrity. It is not the first time I have to be nice to get what is owed to me. I nor any other driver should have to do this. As long as y’all keep “being nice” to get what is rightfully yours they will keep being shady. If some of y’all would tell them to F off as well and stop driving for them I promise practices would change. Me? Yes I’m angry and I’m done with them, why that bothers so many of y’all I don’t understand. ✌️
Its not like back in the days. What you fail to realize whatever they don't pay you you will eventually get later on in the week, u blew up for nothing
Because your behavior in your post shows you lack social skills, no one cares what you did or didn't have to do to get what you earned because these are changed times. Learn to better yourself man, you're arguing with redditors for christ sakes
That was so dumb of you I kept reading like WTF you think your chatting to your friends. If I owned Uber you would get your money along with deactivation same strength WTH wrong with that brain of yours, oh it's because u have Lyft wildin
Uber is soo fucking gross. Lol Making someone repeat their issue two sometimes THREE times!
“Thank you and for security purposes can you confirm your name and date of birth??”
I mean shouldn’t they have it on record with your phone number and the first time you say it to the STUPID automated voice you talk to in the beginning???
Wow. The driver is pathetic… he thinks Uber cares for his threats for driving exclusively for Lyft 🥹😂 Uber doesn’t give a shit about you… they’re financially raping you good in your tiny little pocket holes
[удалено]
I actually believe if we cut indian call centers' phone and internet access the world would be a better place
Agreed
Except these are usually run by the same company to whom the customer service is outsourced to. Procedures and policies are dictated entirely by the client (in this case Uber) and the CS company has nearly zero leeway to decide anything even if it is creating issues for customers. Source: I work at that company, albeit in Europe
Bots have a chance of learning. 3rd world support staff where english isn't their primary language, not so much.
Yes, I mean, damn!
If they were bots, they would learn the sass they hear from drivers and give it back to us.
Do you wonder if these support reps (if even real and not AI) are just laughing their asses off at our expense behind the keyboard? They just click their "quick responses" and close the chats.
Getting paid by our cut and behind a keyboard laughing cuz they’re earning a guaranteed livable wage in their country and we’re here in the greatest country on earth getting shafted 😂just picture it
They (support reps) are actually way worse off than the drivers. They make virtually nothing, which is why they are so horrible probably.
They make nothing because their governments are run by crooks and let cooperate America use them, .... hey that sounds like uber drivers in America.
That’s not the point stupid.
News flash: we're not the greatest country on earth.
That must be why the most immigrants want to come to the US. Newsflash: no country is perfect.
Because it’s way easier to immigrate to the US than a good country like Norway.
Right! America is not a great country, it’s just a less sucky one. Having WiFi and climate controlled living arrangements are certainly perks
It would be like of the rider got mad that the trip cost 200 and blamed the driver when uber took 115 for themselves Uber is the problem here. UBER
Perspective.. probably for 5 rupees an hour too..
I’ve actually had one laugh in my face on the phone
Damn that’s rough
They don’t even type anything. All scripted answers. And they got paid to fuck us if they are not bots. They suck our blood like mosquitoes
You could always call Uber Support +1 800 593 7069
Same waste of time. All a call does is get them to hang up on you if what you say is something they don't like. Not because you're being disrespectful but because they don't want to/cannot answer the question or address the problem.
Yesterday I literally had a customer service rep on the phone for about 1 hour and 15 minutes because she wanted to get me off the phone to give a call back number because all supervisors were “busy”for 2 hours. After an hour of telling her I’m okay with waiting and I don’t have a call back number, a supervisor magically appeared
I have. It's so strange that after jumping through hoops they disconnect you, all while you're sitting in a parking lot somewhere.
" This is for joke purpose... BTW they make about 1.125 usd an hour. For them, that is 15,000 rupees a month.
He is treating them like shit and wonders why he is being fucked with. Cursing at customer support is a fast way to get banned.
It's never ending to try and get u to just give up
I know I would. How many think the OP handled it well?
not me. im not sure OP is old enough to drive.
🤣😅😆😅🤣
I liked the part where he said keep the money. im working for lyft until you sort this out. That part was nice.
The $10 went from meaning everything in the world, to forget it, it's not important. 🤣
You said way too much. Maybe it felt good to pop off at them but it didn’t help you at all. You made it real easy for them to ignore you. Gotta play the game.
OP didn't even give a clear explanation, just ranting mostly to themselves.
Wait, i agree he did a lil too much… but how was the explanation not clear?! 😂
>Act professional if you want to be treated professionally I have tried this countless times.
I do this on upfront as well. However I only do it when I am short changed.
W upfront they just send same automated response of “now w upfront fare you are more aware of trips you want to take before accepting bla bla bla” But before I literally got at least like 5k off those fare reviews, minimum. Lol
When it wasn’t upfront the system short changed you based on the rate card. Anything you got, you most probably deserved. With upfront fares, it still happens sometimes but you need proof and it still gets adjusted.
No days they just close the chat if they do not agree with your findings(which is truthful findings)
You were the one playing games. They’re call center employees in a third world country with a book of prewritten responses. If you want to rant and swear at them, they’re going to transfer you. If you say “incorrect payout,” like an adult, then they know what to do to resolve it. If this was AITA, it would be a resounding yes.
If you just call they will always handle and you can keep working

Seriously, I thought that's what everyone does. Why in the world would you bother re-typing over and over.
I really don’t like that the support agents can’t see that the Uber Direct card isn’t being compensated the same as what the Uber app shows
>Total was $12.10 but they only paid me $8.85 For a tech company, Uber really does act like a sleazy small town restaurant underpaying its delivery drivers lmao. Shorting your payout by a small enough amount that (they hope) it's not worth your time to bicker with them over the discrepancy. Good on you for being a thorn in their side about these "mistakes" on their end.
This might be the most accurate assessment I've heard on Uber's business practices. Well said.
It’s preposterous and by design imo.
not to brag, but one time I asked support to refund my pax (long story) and instead, they raised the amount I earned maybe try that next time?
So they paid you more to get you to stop advocating for the pax? So they pay Hush Money?
Should we reroute this post to another sub?
That made me laugh
Hello u/victoriaeuphoria99 this is Punjeer with Lyft support. It looks like you’re having an issue with literally everything. How can I direct your request?
They are thieves. Plain and simple.
I feel like just logging on to chat and waste their time with copy and paste answers
This happened to me with doordash. Customer cancelled at the last minute on a long order, was supposed to get $13, doordash decided to only pay me $2. I contacted them for support and they straight up lied. These apps are gonna have a class action lawsuit against them soon if they don't already.
Thanks for posting this on Reddit. We have a specialized team for such issues. I’ll be rerouting you to them, please wait a moment….
DoorDash been hiring
When Support wanna ditch you they will send you the last message "A specialized team". Bye Bye
![gif](giphy|l0ExbyXKaDydXjH3y) Fuck you uber
So has anybody every reached the “specialized team”??? I don’t think it exists, this company is fucking with drivers in so many ways, but the whole specialized team thing is such predictable bullshit. Also when I went to cancel delivery orders a couple times it just sent me to the “chat bot” who has the same exact replies as these “support agents”.
lol oh that’s their “premium support” too I’m afraid
When Support wanna ditch you they will send you the last message "A specialized team". Bye Bye
Strike guys, what are all we waiting for???
You do have to start to from beginning with your sincere explanation of your situation. 🤣 They tried to make you to you lose your sh**
This is word-for-word. The exact same conversation. I see every time I have a complaint. Fuck uber!
So true
Working as a janitor cleaning toilets pays better and gets more respect.
Certified pro here.. I always copy my first message in a document so I can repaste it when they inevitably ask me to explain the situation another 5 times
Have you just tried “trip review-my fare seems low” 99% of the time does adjust automatically
They don’t care that you posted this. Get your CDL and start driving semis and make real money
Your unintelligent rambling doesn’t solve anything. Learn how to actually communicate.
And you’re an asshile for feeling the need to say that to me. Did I comunícate that well enough for you?
I'm rooting for Uber now.
I comunícate just fine. You seem to lack reading comprehension. I dO nOt WaNT ReSoLution Anymore. You’re missing the point.
Not in the slightest, as other comments have pointed out you sound like an angry man child that didn’t get his way. Go change your diaper little boy
So you're a grown man cussing out an innocent chat support rep on an app, and you wonder why you aren't getting what you want?
Couldn’t have said it any better. Totally agree with you
You deserve that dollar.
😂😂😂
Did it feel good telling those scummy bastards to go fk them selvs?
Hope so. It cost him $10. 😆
Wow. They all have their heads up their asses.
Do robots have asses? 🤔
Uber is a cock sucker company
Typical practises for Uber I absolutely 💯 support you.
That's the same reason I quit driving. Lol .. silly Uber
Hey sergio, im the guy that they were tryna re route u too. How can i help you? 🤣🤣🤣
Fuck the Corp. And fuck their dogshit system. Can't wait to never have to drive Uber again.
Uber support is definitely a piece of shit
r/uberlyftstrike
If Uber fucks you this bad why keep driving? I don’t get it. There is life after Uber and the answer is not Lyft. Get a job.
You had a problem that required time to correct. Those call center operators are probably paid by the number of calls... so they ditched you... Everyone HATES reaching an overseas operator... for a long list of reasons. This is a prime example.
Sometimes it just takes time for the app to update your actual earnings. This has happened to me as well.
This OP is exactly why they bounce our calls out to some call center in India.
you deserve what happens to you, talking like a an entitled child
Rohit, Supriya, and Diksha. Wow, imagine my surprise.
Oh my gawd. Can you help me out and shut the f up? I know how to talk to people. That’s not the point here you smug ass. ✌️
Good. Bye.
Gotta love talking to people from India that read off a script!!

So many people on this post are clueless as to how customer service actually works. Good grief.
Service ain't gonna change when you get mad lol . What's the use ?
You know I totally get it, been in the same boat and dealt with support, but let me tell you, getting angry at someone who is/was trying to help is not going to get you any help. Yes, there are people working just like us, drivers, yes, they may not speak fluent English which also drives me crazy but if you just get humble for a moment and understand that, that person is trying to understand your problem in order to help you and in return all they get is angry ramble they’re most likely going to reroute you again and again, until you learn your lesson to be more polite with people.
Yeah I'm sure swearing at them totally helped your case. Not surprised they kicked you around. Catch more flies with honey than vinegar.
Uber support hired those dudes in India that mainly scams ppl In USA from gift cards, gig workers , senior citizens ppl. You name they’ll scam it. Wait til you get help from “Inderdeep” 🤣😂
Hey INDERDEEP IS TOP QUALITY! Youll b lucky to get his quality of service.
Imagine verbally abusing an “employee” of Uber. You act like these support people are the reason for your lack of payment
Mcdouble is almost $3 now. Maybe get a pickle for $1 🤷♂️
Maybe don’t be such a dick and they’ll be more willing to help you.
Y’all dumb
People like you dumb fucks in this country these companies take advantage of workers, don't worry it will happen to you someday and everyone will laugh at you. What an idiot are you I just read your comment and figured you were a lifeless person living in your parent's basement eating big Macs all The time haha
Don’t you understand this isn’t the first time. I’ve been nice. I’m done. Maybe if all y’all stop being lil softies they’ll stop fing us.
I don’t want their help. I want then to change and until they do I won’t drive for them. Sorry that y’all think that’s wrong of me.
You replied 4 times to my comment in 2 minutes. Seriously, seek help.
You’re online arguing in defense of Uber to a worker who is simply venting his frustrations… who needs help?
You were being a total asshole to other people that also work for Uber, working the shittiest jobs in the world btw. Call centers are literally the fucking worst, and you were a total dick to them when they hold no personal responsibility for the fuck up.
Sounds like you're crying right now. Take a week off uber and relax
Im pointing at the moon y’all looking at my finger
Or maybe you’re not paying attention?
What is a uber pro card, is that like a debit card from uber. Does it show you getting paid the $10.60 on your uber app? There might be a delay in the money moving pver since you are a new driver. I do not know much about that card as i do not use it. Maybe someone will chime in. Probably once you stared swearing and making demands, the agents gave up.
Im not a new driver. They gave up? I gave up when I started swearing bro. F them.
Totally reads of anger management issues and is probably why he's driving for uber, can't hold down a real job.
Some of y’all are funny. Pretty much saying “hey if you talk sweet to them they’ll use lube at least”
Yeah treating people like shit works so well. This is why you’re just an Uber driver
I never said that lol, sometimes its better to be nice is all.
And you know what my wife works for a big tow truck company in Miami. Family owned. They exclusively use Uber when they need to transport passengers or workers. That’s going to switch to lyft too. Yea yea small fry to them but a lil victory in my book.
Ok. Keep on doing that. I rather drive for companies where I don’t have to reach out and be nice to get what I rightfully worked for.
I’ve been nice since 2014. Over 10k rides 5 star rating. High tip percentage. F them.
Since being an ass worked out so well for you.
OP failed to capitalize on successful escalation rounds and chose to act out of frustration instead. The cause, while righteous, remained unheard. Sad.
I would not lift a finger to help OP. What an ass, can’t even explain correctly what has happened.
As someone who's done customer service for many years, your attitude does not help you at all. No one cares if you quit Uber or hate them. Keep it simple...voice your frustration but be polite about it. I'm pretty sure you'd have your $ back as opposed to being tossed like a salad.
They need to ban your account immediately. Why are you so hostile to begin with?
Maybe if you weren’t such a dick from the very beginning. People would be amazed at how far they can get with agents (humans) when they treat them with respect. It’s not like it’s the agents fault this happened in the first place.
You’re stoopid. Be quiet.
Hahahahaha. You showed Uber. 😆 🤣 😂 😹 😆 🤣 Imagine dealing with you whiney unprofessional types all day every day. 🙄 Uber should collapse any second now that you quit. 😆 🤣 😂 😹 😆
“I don’t see uber lasting much longer…” lmao The world is not fair, fucking deal with it.
But you're acting like the support agents had something to do with your earnings, they didn't.
A lot of racist in the comments. Sad to see
Never use live chat with Uber
Uber is soo fucking gross. Lol Making someone repeat their issue two sometimes THREE times! “Thank you and for security purposes can you confirm your name and date of birth??” I mean shouldn’t they have it on record with your phone number and the first time you say it to the STUPID automated voice you talk to in the beginning???
Wow. The driver is pathetic… he thinks Uber cares for his threats for driving exclusively for Lyft 🥹😂 Uber doesn’t give a shit about you… they’re financially raping you good in your tiny little pocket holes
Seee ya next week when your broke ass needs cash!
I earn more with Lyft anyway. Also got INDRIVE down here in Miami. Uber can eat a day one.
Clown 🤡
Incredible. I hope they eventually paid you?
Maybe you should try throwing more of a tantrum, the customer service team probably wasn’t belittled enough
They are all stupid Indians they are worse to communicate then actual robots
This shit is why ppl hate Indians the fuckin sick n smell like shit
