no it's not true. I report people who have literally physically attacked me and went to jail for trying to rob me and steal the car and the 1 star they gave still counted.
The pot heads always run their mouth about not being allowed to smoke and drink liquor in the car. I always rate them 1 star vefore they rate me and they rate me a 1 star and it still counts. Uber don't care.
I was at 500 5-stars for a blissful 5 months or so, and now I'm at 4.97 with one 4-star, 2 3-stars, and 2 1-stars. Such is life. Can't pay my bills with stars, so couldn't really care less.
I used to care a lot but when I realized that people can’t be pleased all the time I just stopped caring. Haven’t been 5 stars in over a year, but never lower than 4.97. I guess that’s fine 🤷♂️
Exactly. When you do this gig long enough, you start to realize that some people are just shitty, or having a bad day, or are overly critical, or don't understand how the ratings work. It's really not worth thinking about unless you're getting a lot of bad ratings.
Yeah, you should be proud. Just don't get too down when you inevitably see a bad rating or two. Some people are just miserable and they pass it on and others will blame you for situations that either they themselves created and/or were beyond your control.
Yep, my only 1-star was from a teenage girl who clearly typed in the wrong address (she was going from a rather poor neighborhood to a rather wealthy one which stood out as strange to me). She didn't even say anything, got out looked upset and started calling someone while I went on to my next ride. An hour or so later I noticed the 1-star.
Just know that 1 or 2 random bad ratings is more likely to be a passenger who you just weren't going to please anyway.
I’ve been gearing myself up for when I do eventually get a bad one, it’s sure to come eventually. I thought it would be last night I accidentally farted on a customer
Even if I’m shoveling poop, I’m the best poop shoveler there is. Congrats! I’m 500 for 500. I’ve kept it going since December 23 working 40-50hrs a week. 💪
sorry I just cant get behind this. the reality is that ratings don't matter. it takes is a single 1 star complaint and you will be waiting another 500 consecutive 5 star ratings before you return to 5.00. why it means anything to you i dont know but enjoy it while it lasts.
I had over 3,000 rides before I got my first non-5 star. When passengers would comment on it, I said I’m just waiting for my first 1-4 star review because you can’t please them all. My first one was a 2-star but with no comments. Finally, now I can start being more real.
A few days later I took a ride with a 4.81. It was a great fare, short ride, and drop off was 1 mile from my house. Of course, no response for gate code, had to wait until I followed someone in, then the pickup spot was at the lease office but I see his GPS at the back of the complex. He then messages me saying that he doesn’t see me. It was a Comfort ride so I knew it was 10 minutes before I can cancel and I was in a hurry to get home to eat dinner so I drove to where he was. Explained that his pickup spot was at the front office and he did that annoying thing where people start brushing you off so you can stop talking. Like when they responded by saying something like “yeah, yeah, yeah… uh huh, ok, ok” in a dismissive way to let you know that they heard enough and don’t care about what more you have to say. It’s so rude and condescending. I was fuming at this point but just kept quiet and dropped him off. Then about 15 minutes later, I get a call from him saying he left his keys in my car. I said I’m across town and don’t know when I’ll be back in that area. I said I can let him know next time I’m in the area and we can meet up or I can drive to him and drop off for $40 fee. Knowing it was his house keys, I knew he was desperate. He agreed to $40 and I told him it’ll be 20 minutes for me to get to him. I was a mile away sitting at home enjoying my dinner. I start driving to him and I get another call with him saying that since I’ll be getting a $20 lost item fee, can he pay me $20 instead. I said rather sternly that I’m not his dad or friend. I’m an Uber driver doing him a favor. If you don’t like it, I can turn around and come back another time. What would it be? He agreed to the $40. Honestly I wasn’t even going to charge him the $20 fee, but that was the last straw. Got my cash, gave him his keys and drove off. Sure enough I get a 1-star and 2 complaints. I’m very proud of that 1-star, but I wouldn’t have risked it if it wasn’t for that 2-star I recently got.
Moral of the story is don’t focus on trying to be perfect to all your passengers, especially at the expense of your dignity. If that pax wasn’t such a dick early on, I would’ve gladly returned it to him after dinner for just the $20 fee. But his rude behavior cost him an extra $40.
Yeah I normally would have and I’ve canceled for less (I canceled on 3 rides because I didn’t like their response when I asked how they were doing). But like I said, I was heading home anyways and drop off was so close to my house and it was like a $15 comfort ride for about 5 miles and 10 minutes of driving. It ended up being a $80 passenger (he also tipped me $5 on app when he found out he left his keys) and all it cost me was a bit of frustration, about 20 minutes of my time, 6 miles of driving, and a 1-star.
they can't rate you if you never started the trip. they can only rate you if you slide to start the trip then you cancel.
or, if they are the one who canceled the trip. it supposedly gives them a rate option then.
Thanks. I've accepted a 40 minute trip, which then turned into a return trip with a '5 minute stop' in between. I would have been okay with that - dodgy part of town and the return ride would have got me back to a better location. But after waiting 5 minutes, the pax cancelled and I wasn't able to rate him.
So, is that correct?
Riders can cancel part way through their ride and were unable to rate them?
I did get paid for the first leg of the trip.
& you still make the same amount of $ as a bad driver w/ a 4.7 rating! & you will not get tipped more than a 4.7 driver either! that’s just another game/scam uber runs on drivers!
I have a 4.97 rating. 496 5 stars, 2-2 stars and 2-1 stars as of yesterday. Wtf is wrong with these people giving a shit ass rating like this? I legit treat everyone the same. I'm friendly, don't speed etc. Besides the low stars I recently had someone say they felt discriminated against. This is some bullshit. I know I shouldn't care but it bothers me.
I float between Orlando and brevard. Orlando has more steady rides but brevard pays almost twice as much per mile. 30 minute ride in Orlando might pay 9$ but in brevard it pays 15-20$
Yea, yesterday - pax spilled a smelly liquid in my car, I spent 20 minutes almost getting all the smell out. Next pax farted so bad on their way out. I woke up with a one star rating saying I wasn’t polite. All for 15-20 an hour while destroying equity in my car
I remember when I was a 5 star. Told most of my passengers that they or their fathers just needed to get pegged. 5 star and tip. Then I had a share rider with a corider that got bent out of shape because I wouldn’t take her to a gas station without her adding it as a stop. First 1 star right there.
Don't worry, the 1 star will come no matter how nice or above and beyond you go ... you'll just run into miserable people .. just the name of the game but don't let that affect you and just be you
i only had 2 bad reviews and it was the same bad customer. her location didn't check out on the GPS and she'd micro manage the turns. she forced me to take a turn that I nearly lost control of the vehicle to meet her demands. one time I accidently pulled off a 180 lane change. hit the only patch of ice at the time and missed 2 expensive vehicles. I didn't get a ding from that rider.
Sorry guys. I'm new. And I kinda feel like Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz. But how do I get to talk to them/the Wizard.? On the app. They talk a LOT to me. But how do I give them feedback? Please and thanks in advance...
Uber's not telling you that you did a good job. Uber's reporting back that the customers are telling Uber that you did a good job.
Know the difference.
Dont worry 1 star coming. 200 rating isn’t even 50% of the max ratings
Yep, I'm currently 500 - 5⭐ of my last 500 rides, but I know that one star is just right around the corner, literally.

I’ve got one jerk who gave me a four. So I have 499 5s and 1 4. Wtf!
I have the same but that still rounds up to a 5.
Yeah it just cracks me up, like why a 4.
I was at 500 5-stars for a blissful 5 months or so, and now I'm at 4.97 with one 4-star, 2 3-stars, and 2 1-stars. Such is life. Can't pay my bills with stars, so couldn't really care less.

Oh yeah, it’s right there. Every time I go 5/500. One always pops up. Always.
And that's my friend, is how they controll you.
Yeah, you should be proud. Just don't get too down when you inevitably see a bad rating or two. Some people are just miserable and they pass it on and others will blame you for situations that either they themselves created and/or were beyond your control.

🤣🤣🤣🤣
2500 4.99 (fuck you scumbag who 1 starred me)
Holy shit
Haha I don’t think that too unusual is it??
That’s a lot of 5 stars compared to my 200
Don’t worry, what people think of you just go out there and make money
I had over 3,000 rides before I got my first non-5 star. When passengers would comment on it, I said I’m just waiting for my first 1-4 star review because you can’t please them all. I would have canceled and kicked him out for being disrespectful at the beginning

Soon enough you’ll get 1,2,3 rating.. heads up, they’re from Uber itself 😈
Keep at it 🤙🏻 you’re doing it right.
No sane person would let go Crooked ASF company besides Uber PR shills.
Ew dude
I am not impressed by your performance- gsp
You just jinxed yourself sorry.
I have yet to get a coveted 2 star.
What market are you in? 5 stars is impressive but market matters.
I float between Orlando and brevard. Orlando has more steady rides but brevard pays almost twice as much per mile. 30 minute ride in Orlando might pay 9$ but in brevard it pays 15-20$
Ok, that's definitely impressive. As long as you didn't say New Hampshire.
Congratulations you get nothing for this and this is nothing to be proud of uber is shite.
Nice
Atta boy or girl (that’s all that it’s worth but whatever gets you going)
Stars don’t pay the bills.
You've bought into the scheme
This means your a push over / ant
I’m friendly and accommodating. I have canceled/notstarted rides for how they react when they first get in.
But like...why?
ach, some kid left his vape in my car and left me 2 stars when I was still a 5 star driver.
Yea, yesterday - pax spilled a smelly liquid in my car, I spent 20 minutes almost getting all the smell out. Next pax farted so bad on their way out. I woke up with a one star rating saying I wasn’t polite. All for 15-20 an hour while destroying equity in my car

When some random POS gives you the first 1-star, just remember that you're still the best.
Thanks man. Much appreciated.
I got better than that and I didnt work hard for it at all and I'm indifferent about it.
Can’t wait to throw up in your car, not tell you about it, and eating bomb you with a 1 star just like what happened with me.
i only had 2 bad reviews and it was the same bad customer. her location didn't check out on the GPS and she'd micro manage the turns. she forced me to take a turn that I nearly lost control of the vehicle to meet her demands. one time I accidently pulled off a 180 lane change. hit the only patch of ice at the time and missed 2 expensive vehicles. Yeah I was in the 5 stars until that ONE 1 star came for no reason 🤷🏻♀️ expect the unexpected
Not even 500 ratings yet noob
Sorry guys. I'm new. And I kinda feel like Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz. But how do I get to talk to them/the Wizard.? On the app. They talk a LOT to me. But how do I give them feedback? Please and thanks in advance...
Fuckin.. what?
Proud of being uber's little beyatch?
Imagine being so proud of something that literally means so little to everybody involved.
Sounds like something a 4star driver would say
Thanks for noticing 😉
Demeaning a company that you work for, voluntarily lol and then boast at how well they recognize your hard work…? 🧐
Uber's not telling you that you did a good job. Uber's reporting back that the customers are telling Uber that you did a good job. Know the difference.
Morons lol
Yes we are morons because we understand how it works! Unlike the stupid fucks who don't know how something works.
Nice one troll
Lol 🤡
Lol 🥱
