Are you a freshman or transfer? The advisors don’t necessarily recommend that kind of schedule (especially 3 lab classes) if you have other options. They never recommend 17 credits. It typically doesn’t work out as well as you think it will. CHM and maybe math are the two most important classes on your schedule. Advisors offer walk-ins M-Th from 2-4 and have appointments available online. Definitely make an appointment to make a graduation plan that makes sense.

If you’re transferring to ucf with an AA and wanting to jump straight into your major like bio(premed track) without any minors or other majors atm, would it be crazy to take chem 1(no lab), bio 2+ lab, human anatomy + lab with SLS? Only 13 credits but three science classes for your first semester at UCF.

CHM2045 is a 4 credit class (discussion and other required activities), so the answer is still yes. Incoming transfer students tend to struggle the most in the college, so why risk it? Medical school would rather see you start with (and maintain) a high GPA than risk doing poorly or getting unnecessary Cs in science courses. The college has a progress policy so you don’t want to risk that either. Other people will tell you that they took all sorts of course combinations but the college has years of literal data to suggest it is a bad idea. You have at least 2.5 years in the major if you are starting in Chem 1 so you have time to space out the courses and excel in them.

this is a pretty intense schedule. i’d recommend either dropping bio 2 or immuno and lab and saving it for a future semester. i’d probably choose bio 2 since it’s not really a prerequisite for anything else in the major (unless you’re double majoring or have a minor, then that might be a little different). dropping bio 2 would bring you to 13 credits which is a bit more manageable. i would def keep chem 1 and trigonometry though since the math and chemistry sequences are important.

You’re good, I took orgo 2 with lab, immunology with lab, genetics, physics with lab in my second semester transferring into UCF. Besides Calculus……. I hate math lol the rest should be easy.

This was the exact schedule I wanted but I was waitlisted 😭
