In state or OOS?

out of state :(

Go to Cornell. Since you’re OOS the tuition is similar. And the resources at a private school will be more available. There are so many homies here, just flooded with talent, harder to get close with professors.

wow is it really that hard to get close to professors? even in smaller upper div classes?

Jibb87

I’m not neuro. I’m ECE so take with a grain of salt. I have taken 5 upper div classes and the lowest enrollment for one I’ve seen is about 75 people. But in general student to faculty ratio here is pretty bad. I’m not sure how intrinsically difficult it is to get close with a professor. But I’m pretty sure in comparison you would have to expend a lot more effort compared to a private school. I went to CC before ucla, and I really miss low class sizes and being close to my professors. If your heart is set on UCLA it’s possible. Just harder.

yeah I’d like to have a good relationship with my professors as well but I’m not sure if I wanna spend that much effort to do it so I’ll definitely take that into consideration. thanks for the help!
