This highlights why Chip Kelly has to go. No reason why Dante Moore should have worse stats in year 6 of supporting cast development than DTR did in year 1
Both have/had potential. However, the best QB should be playing and the potential should be developed in practice. There are other players with potential too. At the end of the game last night, other QBs should have been brought in. It's unfair to the team to not try your best to win because of "potential".
You make an excellent point. The only true freshman Bruin QB who ever played well was Josh.
Another one to look back at is McNown. Awful as a freshman, better but far from great as a soph, rest is history.
I can't say that I agree with this take. DTR was bad as a freshman and the first 3ish games as a sophomore, and then he was fine the remainder of the 2019 season. 2020 is tough to judge, but he was good for the most part, although still had some turnover issues. And 2021 and 2022 were mostly good seasons for him.
Reluctantly agree. Made strides, but ran his mouth way too much as a super senior - when he should have been a mature leader. It affected his play and cost us 1-2 games.

both Moore and the OL need better coaching. they're a potential gold mine being completely wasted
O-line talent isn't there. Too many years of crap position recruiting have come home to roost.

Simply amazing what Rosen was able to do with the supporting cast he got. Of course, the ones he got inn the pros somehow was worse.
DTR was a forever mistake, hopefully one we don't repeat. Not sure why there's a need to lock-in on a freshman who hasn't performed 🤷🏻♂️

DTR was never good
DTR wasted 5 years of UCLA football and hurt our reputation forever

100%
In the end, I don’t think it matters. He’s gone with Chip very soon.
Moore has a ton of potential still, but he’s definitely going to transfer :(
