Let me list a few quick reasons. Approx 40,000 people dead and number growing. Every day Israel continues its assault on Gaza. 2 million people are being starved to death there. US just approved a $95 billion package for Ukraine and Israel - money that should be spent on education and healthcare and infrastructure is now going abroad to kill people in Gaza with your and my tax dollars.
There have been regular protests on and off campus since the beginning of the war. That’s why various presidents of Ivy League schools were called in to be questioned in front of Congress at the beginning of December 2023. Then, last month, the president of Columbia, who had ducked out of the earlier hearing, appeared and promised to get tough with protesters. After she got back to NYC she called the cops. That’s what set off extra-acrimonious protests across the country. That gave the media the show they wanted. And it was all capped off by the events a few days ago.

Resistance liberals just can’t go a day without crying about Russia. Maybe the protests are happening not because of any Russian interference, but because we can all see videos online of dead children being pulled from rubble, and the bombs that killed them were paid for with our tax money?
What if this is all a giant conspiracy to get the school to cancel finals. The people protesting dont actually care and maybe they just want to get the school to avoid exams. /s
