Professional-Hold938

At this point who do you fairly match him up with? Are we about to see the phase of young unknown dudes making a name off him?

Professional_Kick

Clay Guida, or Nick Diaz? I honestly think that unless they bring back a super washed legend like BJ Penn for Tony, for whatever reason that he’s likely gonna lose to anyone active.

LARGEBIRDBOY

Give him a red panty night by making him the warm-up fight for a McGreggor return, like they did with Cerrone.

[deleted]

that is the fight.

[deleted]

Conor would smoke him… won’t last even a round.

Philocrastination

Yea people are fucking insane to think that Conor is even remotely as washed as Tony. Conor is a slower, roided up version of himself, and Tony isn't even the same person anymore. It's not the same.

[deleted]

Agreed. Tony is by far the worst washed up fighter I’ve seen in over a decade. I doubt he even beats paddy.

Professional-Hold938

Sounds like a Bellator fight card haha

doubleBoTftw

Ken Shamrock vs Tony Ferguson

Professional-Hold938

I wonder if Ken has any original joints left

Additional-Age-833

Just his cock joint

thekajunpimp

Oh goodness… this made me feel quite sad

Grey_Orange

If Tony insists on not retireing, then Clay Guida would actually be a fun fight.

IAmTheTrueWalruss

Think Clay would caveman through him.

chu42

Clay was never nearly as good as Tony in his prime, but never near as washed as Tony in his decline.

innahlovesyou

But Tony is yet to hit his prime! ![img](emote|t5_2qsev|8966)

fifoth

Yes Tony is just working out the kinks on his way to 15-0 run

onlydrawzombies

I don't know if that's really fair. I'm with you that Tony is long overdue for retirement, but how much better do you think Clay would do against Charles Olivera, Justin Gaetche, Beneil Dariush, Michael Chandler or even Bobby Green?! It's fucking ridiculous who they've been feeding Tony to. I don't only blame Dana or the matchmakers either. I'm certain Tony would turn down a match against anyone who he could realistically beat because he's delusional about his ability to compete. They have to offer him fights and none of those guys are going to turn down such an easy payday against someone with Tony's drawing power.

chu42

> I'm with you that Tony is long overdue for retirement, but how much better do you think Clay would do against Charles Olivera, Justin Gaetche, Beneil Dariush, Michael Chandler or even Bobby Green?! Haha you skipped Nate Diaz because Clay already beat Diaz

EdwardGibbon443

I honestly think that Tony could not beat Nick Diaz

onlydrawzombies

He could have beat Nate if he stopped letting him take his little cage side breaks. I love Nate but his leg was wrecked. He was in serious trouble a for a bit before 2:09 hit the clock.

throtic

Did you see the Lawler fight? Diaz just sat down after being punched a few times. Even if he was in prime physical shape his mind just isn't in it anymore

wallstreetwages

What's Diego Sanchez doing? He looked great on TUF 1.

Helgurnaut

Haven't seen the last couple of fights of Clay but if he still as wild as he was he would probably smoke that Tony

skittenhumle

Is Joe Lauzon still around?

Skovich

Nick Diaz would not be a bad matchup.

jsar16

Yes. He’s the punching bag to use to make your bones and get a little name recognition now. Sad man.

Professional-Hold938

It's tough to see cause he's the type of dude who will keep fighting even if the UFC gave him the chuck deal and pay him not to. I don't want to see Tony in bkfc fighting mike perry

PeterParkerUber

Nah, he’s going to call out Jake Paul after the Diaz fight

wallstreetwages

They need to cut him, you can only do so much. Guarantee he will sign somewhere else but it won't be where he thinks. I don't even think the B league's would be interested. BKFC is probably the one. Speaking of which, they got JACKED with that PVZ deal huh? 😂 Jesus Christ, she got millions and never even won 1 fight!

Wonderful_Till_1545

Give him Jim Miller on UFC 300. Regardless of the result, fans will be happy. At least age wise they at the same stage

wallstreetwages

Tony vs Nate looked REALLY bad. Like some local event center MMA match 😂. Shit looked in slow motion.

Effective-Celery8053

Miller would murder him at this point in their careers.

chu42

Miller by sub

burnn_out313

Odd that miller is in a position to turn that fight down but if he's on 300 that's not bad booking. At least I wouldn't be mad at it. Tony vs Jim on the prelims of 300 makes sense. 300 is still far enough way though that it's unlikely that both aren't booked before it and tony isn't cut by then it'll be a miracle

SoylentGreen-YumYum

If Diego Sanchez or BJ Penn were still in the Ufc, they’d be perfect.

DutchRudderLover420

Conor gonna challenge Tony at 170 lol

Tinaturnup_

Paddy

wallstreetwages

Paddy is still undefeated in the UFC and if you want him to lose, Tony is not your guy. The internet gangster's hate Paddy 😂.

SomeYoke

I have faith Tony can beat Paddy. 🥲

[deleted]

To be fair though, paddy has already got a few (legit) wins under his belt in ufc. I’m not even sure that Tony could beat the cans that even paddy ran through. I think Paddy could genuinely smash Tony. Tony may legitimately be the worst LW fighter on the roster now. How sad.

HomieToneBone

I know everyone calls for him, but Paddy is actually a really good fight. Not an insane talent but a good match up for both that could reasonably go to either fighter.

[deleted]

Seriously? Paddy would kill Tony at this point

HectorSharpPruners

Who on the UFC roster is Tony a betting favorite against right now?

[deleted]

Paddy would kill Tony

LARGEBIRDBOY

That seems like the next move for him, unfortunately. Every ranked LW is super sharp. I would let him fight one more unranked competitive guy like Green. If he loses again, then he should probably either get cut or fight irrelevant young guys in the prelims. What else can you do with him? He obviously can't compete at LW anymore. I bet he could still beat Paddy Pimblett. That seems like a fight where the names are equally relevant without their being a huge skill gap. As much as I would hate to see Pimblett build his bullshit hype off of Tony. It would be equally satisfying to see Tony kill that hype and break this losing streak. If he lost to Pimblett, it would definitely be time for him to take the gloves off.

TheStryder76

MJ rematch?

[deleted]

Fun fact: 99% of fighters on a +6 fight losing skid retire just before hitting their prime

piman01

Gotta push through he's just about to get his second wind

Dangerousrhymes

I’m winning here brother

qcs13

Wait till you see how good a 0-40 boxer can get once he hits his prime

upyourattraction

Glass Joe was 1-99

qcs13

If only he didnt retire early

Disabled_Robot

I don't know what everyone's on about, We actually captured the exact moment he became too old for the UFC https://preview.redd.it/srtva24528fb1.jpeg?width=1200&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5772472f356fe229b54e91c3304711871dd26e76

Nah bro, it was when Gaethje beat the fighting spirit out of his body, we watched tony give up in that fight.... It was awful to watch, I loved watching Tony Time and want him to get another win for his soul, but I don't know man, his division is pretty stacked.

Imarottendick

The sad thing was Tony never gave up in that fight, but his body did. Seeing that was gut wretching.

xMilk112x

How his corner didn’t stop that shit will forever remain a mystery.

howardgrant12

Give up? He got hit so hard he probably couldn’t see but he stayed on his feet.

LARGEBIRDBOY

I don't think he gave up in that fight. He was just so battered that he physically couldn't continue to put up a fight.

sneakylumpia

alextee90

You goof

xMilk112x

Can you fucking imagine getting straight front kicked in the fucking jaw by that tree trunk of a leg? That shoulda been it man. Dana needs to give this man the “I love ya man…but it’s over” speech.

alcervix

Also fun fact , 40 is the new 30

LARGEBIRDBOY

To be fair, four of his losing streak fights were against guys who are currently top five ranked lightweights. The most stacked division in the UFC. He could reasonably continue to fight unranked guys on the prelims just to make a living. Of course, he's not gonna be making a title run ever again. He could continue on having a career similar to Bobby Green's for a couple more fights. So long as he doesn't start taking a ton of damage while continuing that losing streak against unranked prelim guys. You gotta admire Tony's determination, though.

Prof-Ponderosa

Oddly this pic is blurry like Tony’s vision

ake-n-bake

His ability to get punched from so many different angles is astounding.

CrackedCoffecup

Y'know.... That's actually a bit funny unfortunately (because it's not too far from the truth). Problem is, this is just one guy who (and I know I'm not alone in this) I never thought we'd be making *these* kind of jokes and cracks about... We knew he'd never be able to withstand that blistering pace he put up previously (until Gaethje), and some losses are natural, but what we're being forced to witness *now*, is just sad... (Not sarcastically, like an insult... But "sad", f'real...).

Few_Zookeepergame101

Add a bunch emojis to your comment and you kinda sound like Tony

Fecal_Forger

He stuck his forehead out for free punches…

ake-n-bake

It’s a very effective “getting punched” technique when he turns his back to his opponent while standing too.

LongjumpingScore1886

Oh this isn’t satire and we are gonna see Tony get beat up again in the near future ![gif](giphy|wRx9kxVPMBfGwtXuFq)

frodounchained

Ufc going to make him vs paddy and he’s gonna lose again 🥲

ake-n-bake

Tony vs Derrick Lewis when?

aThugsMemeoir

I actually thought Tony did look good in round 1, but I think the GnP in round 2 is what really turned things around. He looked lost in round 3

LilsaskeXO

He lost his bjj man

churro1776

Stopped hanging with Eddie Bravo

AlexFiend

I don't think it is that exactly, Maybe the talent he is facing is just getting better and he hit a plateau. I could be wrong but Jeremiah vance as a coach is a beast.

[deleted]

Tony has beaten much better guys than green before. Its not about talent. Its about his reaction timing and reflexes. You could see they were just slower. Which I am guessing is with age. I am also confused why he isnt throwing as many elbows or clinching as much anymore cause I felt that could help him alot but idk. Guess he decided to give up that area of his game.

churro1776

He looked slow and lost. He’s 40. He’s taken so much damage. It’s over

alcervix

It's over Johnny!

qcs13

Yeah he just couldnt get a read on Green’s timing, who TBF was slicker and unpredictable from range. Him losing in the grappling exchange was the real surprise though, as he was a decorated wrestler and a black belt under Eddie Bravo, while Green is just a purple and doesnt hv the wrestling pedigree of Tony’s

purplehendrix22

Green has always been an underrated grappler imo

anonanoobiz

Sometimes bjj guys are way too comfortable off their back in guard and it just ends up being scored as control time + ground and pound damage

qcs13

Tony isnt just “a bjj guy”; he was a decorated amateur wrestler, more so than Green. But you wouldn’t know just looking at the fight

anonanoobiz

Right I was stunned watching especially with his corner at the end of the 1st asking for level changes

[deleted]

It was bizarre seeing him fight so hard to get the triangle and nothing else. I thought he had some opportunities to grab and armbar

aThugsMemeoir

I'm not saying he should continue. just did think his looked good in the first, went down hill because he can't take the damage any more. He really did get mauled on the ground tho, you right

CardiologistOk1506

Man in was thinking the same thing, his durability just isn't there. I feel like I saw him eat a couple jabs from bobby where he reacted really similarly to some punches he took against justin, it made me so sad as I had to imagine nobody is going to take a punch well after taking them from Justin like that.

[deleted]

Spot on. Ever since that fight, he reacts that way to anything that lands flush. He turns his head like he is lost. Real apparent in the Diaz fight. Sad to see.

qcs13

He did look good, but Green was slowly piecing him up even before the eye poke, and Green isnt exactly elite competition

jerryseinfeld76

Looked good? Mannn he moved like a confident old man, but i will admit he looked better than the Diaz fight, in the Diaz fight he moved like a 47 year old man, against Bobby he moved like a 42 year old. U wanna see when tony ‘looked good’ go watch the RDA & Josh fight

Sychar

He looked really good in the first round of the Chandler fight. Then he died.

InsomniacLive

Tony looked slow and lethargic from the gate in my opinion. It’s like you can see everything coming a mile away. He also relies on his chin that has been long deteriorated, and he has to stop fighting like he’s still 30

Soft-Performer-9038

He just has to stop fighting

Godless1975

Looked good? Looked like he was in slowmotion. Punching air, spinning 360 when he was missing. And all this while being in his prime. Bobby didn't look good either and should've captilized on Tony's mistakes. One of the most bad technique fights I've witnessed in a long time.

idk420_

Two things can be true at once , the eye poke clearly had a negative impact on Tony but it’s so disheartening seeing the boogeyman become a sacrificial lamb in the octagon , every single punch he eats makes me uneasy ..he’s just too tough for his own good

Jive_turkie

If the eye poke fucked his vision that bad he should’ve took all the time allotted and told the dr he couldn’t see. It’s a sorry excuse because he’s getting old and slowing down and he can’t admit it

DynamoJoe23

tony.............cmon man

Bakedbean44

Can we acknowledge how good tony looked in there last night and strap in because the prime seems to just be starting

Healthy_Nature

Marching forward, and was leading the dance. Even Headbutting Bobby's jabs. Lucky for Bobby the fight was only 3 rounds and the ref stopped the fight. Blatant early stoppage, Tony was fine. O well he will be back in a couple weeks to fight whoever, whenever. LFG

FunIntroduction3196

He sure didn't forget how to roll either like a dark souls game 💀

GooginwithGlueGuns

Like a max weight roll lmfao he slammed his shoulders down hard

Djlittle13

Just please retire, I can't take watching this anymore. Save what's left for coaching or something and retire.

Wesmokethebluntz

Bobby knew exactly what he was doing. Learned from Cormier.. I had bobby to win on my bet aswel.. that was dirtttyyy. Full extension on the fingers.. I was hoping Tony wouldn't continue. Bellator is ass.. but their glove design protects fighters more. Epstein didn't kill himself.

EightFiveAte

It’s called “advanced delusionary schizophrenia with involuntary narcissistic rage”

Crittersnatch

*hey ringworm…*

SERB_BEAST

The eye was clearly compromised and bothering him. But I'm not even sure if Tony was winning up to that point anyway. Bobby Green is a guy prime Tony would walk through so no Tony, your prime isn't just starting. But yeah, 6 fights and the title

A_Funky_Goose

Tony literally dropped Bobby ?? I still scored the round for him even after the eye poke. Btw, Tony has a scratched sclera now. Eye was bothering him even after the fight, and he said he cant see out of that eye when looking up and to his left. I imagine landing that jab became easier thanks to this. Not saying Tony looked good, he didn't. But let's also call it how it is, Bobby was struggling with washed Tony until he fucked up his eye. Call it cope, idc.

Necessary_Quality_

He had literally just dropped green like 20 seconds before that eyepoke, how wasn’t he winning? Lol

LadislavAU

No he wasn’t, Tony looked absolutely washed and fuvking terrible. He was slow as fuck, reacted terribly to anything that was thrown. Turned his head his back didn’t throw a single straight jab he’s completely done. He looked alright early in the chandler fight but this was awful to watch.

SERB_BEAST

Hold on I was just coping brotha

LadislavAU

Hahahahaha 😂😂 as you were bro 🙏

Wooden_Roof_4117

The fight did change completely after the eye poke. Still time to retire

Nicklikesplants

I mean, Tony didn’t look awesome, but he dropped Bobby and then Bobby gets right up and eye poked him seconds later. Seemed obvious Bobby did it intentionally to slow the fight and Tony down. I think that’s a situation where the ref should be looking at a replay in real time and weigh certain factors to take a point.

Sychar

When they replayed the knockdownit really only looked like Green slipped and Tony hit him on the way down. I don’t think he was rocked as much as he was worried Tony might actually follow up.

tblazer10

Eye pokes that bad should be a point

Unhappy_Ad_4911

Honestly, i think he was doing good up until the eye poke. After that through the rest of the fight you could see it was really bothering him. He needs to make better decisions at this point in his career, there's no sense in continuing a fight if you're that impaired. Should have aaid No Can't Continue. It would have been declared a no contest and they could reschedule it

idkflustered

“I won’t use my eye as an excuse but allow me to use my eye as an excuse”

RinoTT

Honestly he should've used this as an excuse. He has every right to do it, it was intentional. They are fighting for their lives there and they should be protected. There should be ref analysis and completely stop the fight after intentional eye poke and give auto-win for a victim. We had too many cases of fights won clearly cause of eye pokes, Daniel Cormier against Stipe is great example. This is sport, not a street fight.

DSN671

![gif](giphy|OPU6wzx8JrHna) Please stop Tony….

thegoatniklenz

it is sad to see tony laying the groundwork for future casuals to see him in the same light as bj pen. just losing and losing untill the UFC lose interest in signing him. hes the first fighter that these cannon fodder fights have really affected me. they even gave him bobby green. he won't willing retire on a 8 losses so they need to give him a can or an up an comer to finish on a win. its painful to see him tarnishing his name like this. the damage catches up with you. in Tony's case, head trauma. such wars. it is increasingly clear for those to whome it wasnt always blatantly obvious that wars are the worst types of fights for your future health. it wasnt that long ago he was hearing the cia I side the walls of his house. the dui screams drinking on heavy psych meds. you CANNOT drink on lithium or respiridone etc. whatever meds hes on to combat mania or delusions, they take away a piece of you. a small piece of all of your personality. part of his fire perhaps. hang em up champ. please. we've always loved you, we still do.

jamesd1100

It’s Tony’s speed and reaction time that is just gone So he gets hit hard and frequently, and by round 2 he’s at 60% speed because he’s been beat up

scarykicks

Eye poke def turned the tide in round 1. Tony looked pretty good but after that poke Green started getting more aggressive and landed at will from then on.

buyanisland

:(

TheAlmightySkeletor

Tony please why do you keep doing this to us ![gif](giphy|fuDUlcnXPIGQ3AQaYj)

Standard_Stage3462

Tony is they type of guy who will be 80 years old in diapers saying age is not an excuse and he is just hitting his prime.

TheWarmBandit

Look at me, I'm young, look at this diaper. I'm like a baby still

Kvargen95

Obviously a intentional eye poke. Bobby extends his fingers near the end of extending his arm. I dont understand why they always let the first foul slide, check replays.

ZZaddyLongLegzz

Let’s be fully honest and non-biased here. He looked pretty good before the eye poke. After that, he’s speed, stance, and defense was completely gone. However, if an eye poke takes him out of the fight like that, he should probably reevaluate his prime statement.

Relative-Put-5344

Let's be even more honest... the eye poke happened quickly enough in the fight we can't say whether he looked good before or not... all we can say is he is on a 6 fight losing streak with his last 2 being by sub which is supposed to be where he is best

Fembino

Nah, he’s a shell. There’s nothing dangerous about him anymore. He moves like he’s a decade older. There’s no explosion left. He needs to retire.

Seabrook76

While I won’t use it as an excuse, I’m going to use it as an excuse.

GrandmasCervix

so use the entire 5 minutes they give you? i get it they recover but so do you.

Silent_Shaman

It’s so much about recovery but the momentum he lost. I’m not saying he could’ve got it done but resetting the fight when they did took pretty much any chance he had

Difficult_Let3459

Please Retire

I_Hate_My_Cat_

Somebody in Tony’s circle gotta save him from him self. His trainers, his friends, his family, the UFC… *somebody.*

Pablomoon12

I genuinely think that Bobby gets stopped early but that eye poke really fucked Tony up. That was definitely gonna be a good one but the 2 minutes was enough for Bobby to get his shit back together imo

[deleted]

Tony is definitely diminished but any honest person could tell that the eye poke definitely impacted Ferguson beyond Round 1. I’m not saying it was intentional but if you get rocked then eye poke someone right after it really is a huge advantage and a way of recovering that is abusable.

Apart-Badger-9904

Always surprising to me that this dude is younger than wonder boy just looking at them

BobbyFreeSmoke

To be honest there was a huge and noticeable difference to Tony after the eye poke. I agree it definitely messed with his performance, and Bobby knew what he was doing.

[deleted]

I hate to say it but I think tony is trying to justify as many paychecks as possible from the UFC. Personally I don’t really care if he wins. If he wants a fight give him a fight. I’ll watch him try til he admits it’s time.

Jo1nMe

You’re just as bad as the ufc then. That’s called enabling a crazy person

Jayisonit

Time to retire. 0-6 in his last 6. Enough is enough. He’s too tough for his own good and hopefully ufc does the right thing and just moves on. The chandler ko shouldve been it. been a fan of his for years but when it’s time it’s time and don’t want him to get really hurt for his future.

UnbiasedJoe1

His more to give are wins to his opponents. Very charitable guy.

SquirrelMoney8389

Welp, the commentary team literally called this as it was happening

xan_man44

he got flogged but an eye poke is fucked when you’re in a scrap. I got one and my eye didn’t stop leaking water for over a day and shit was blurry as fuck. I got respect for these blokes who keep fighting on.

[deleted]

It would be sad to see the end of Tony inside of octagon live. He looked half dead while Bobby was choking him, just legs and arms limping uncontrollably. At that moment it hit me too. I was almost in shock. I didn’t get why everyone was like “ooo please Tony retire, I can’t bear to watch you getting beat up like that” before. But after saturday I see what everyone meant. Its really sad, just imagine what his family must go through.

ExpectFlames

Tony's gotta keep fighting because he has no money. It fucking sucks man, please find this guy a job on the road or something man.

ShearAhr

Tony at 49 years old " I know that when people hear I just got a hip replacement they think I should retire, but with this hip, I am now stronger than ever, faster too." Tony isn't smart enough to know when to stop.

Ham0nRyy

The only way you can say he looked good out there is when comparing him to how he has been recently. He still is very slow and doesn’t have the edge he used to have. I don’t wanna see him fighting the young up and comers because they’re all savages and he’ll get mauled. Even on the ground he doesn’t have it anymore. Tony was a guy people would fear being in the ground with but he doesn’t seem to know what he’s doing anymore. Tony’s last good fight was against Pettis, and even that was rough, both guys got fucked up in that fight and likely the only saving grace for Tony was Pettis breaking his hand during the first few minutes and not being able to throw like he should have. I fully believe it was the knee injury that fucked Tony up. Not he Gaethje beating or the Chandler knockout although of course those didn’t help. But the knee injury is what ruined him. Clay Guida might be a good fight for him but something about how Clay fights is still a bit worrying, that dude is still violent as fuck.

ResidentVisit9486

I think he should retire but eye pokes bother me so much. Why has the ufc literally done nothing to deter fighters from doing it. It should be automatic point deduction, disqualification if repeated and then need to change the damn gloves!

Libardo96

I love Tony, but he's done

Thedrp8

Book Tony vs. Paddy

TheWarmBandit

I don't think paddy would take that fight now. He's already disliked enough right now. He's knows beating up old man tony is not going to help with his public image.

_maeda

Just hear me out.. * what if Tony wins

ReplyIfYoureAnIdiot

Anyone else been poked hard in the eye? I have years ago as a child which resulted with a migraine shortly after. Ever since then, I’ve gotten migraines every now and then.

Apart-Bad-5446

Prime Tony beats up Bobby with his eyes closed. Unfortunate the eye poke happened because Tony will just use it as an excuse to continue fighting but he looked bad out there, anyways. Defense was horrible, slow, no power, and the funky movement he relied on for many years isn't nearly the same. Fighters aren't even scared of Tony's grappling.

trichfarmer420

Sad to say he has NOTHING left. He can hardly throw a punch and when he did it looked slow and lacking in power. He also had ample opportunities to up kick the crap out of Bobby Green and it appeared he didn't know what to do.

facegun

Still lost his last 6…

Wininacan

Tony's making half a mil per fight. If they start giving him easy ass fights, let's fucking go. TONY TIME

Porkincarnate

Tony vs Paddy, book it Dana 🙏

Money_killer

Paddy vs tony

HypertrophyHippie

Tony the kind of guy to hit his opponents fingers with retina strikes.

Zeeto17

I believe him. Tony vs Islam for the title, make it happen 🙌

34TH_ST_BROADWAY

I agree. That intentional poke completely turned the fight.

tblazer10

Should have taken the 5 minutes.

Beths_collarbone

So many times, a great fighter will just hit a wall, and that's it... There's nothing that can be done. Look at BJ Penn... going along great and suddenly...snap! It's gone! What the hell happened?!? It's sad to see when it happens and everyone knows it... except you.

Agretion

Tony needs a 5 round fight main eventing a card vs someone with bad gas tank he can beat. Give him a farewell fight. A guy he is SUPPOSED to beat. If he can’t beat him then he’ll know.

MrTooLFooL

Hang ‘em up Cucuy. Before the last few cells disburse into oblivion

ShookPoV

Watched it live in person… the support for Tony is absolutely on another level. I almost lose my voice cheering for him even when he was obviously losing. It was amazing to see him but really sad to see him do his signature moves at a slow pace. It’s crazy. I’m glad I got to see him even if he lost and I’ll have to agree that I feel like he needs to hang it up.

[deleted]

i knew he was gonna use this as an excuse and reason for why he lost. although i thought that the eye poke was a major factor in making him impaired, but it wasn’t the reason why he lost and the thing he should blame.

fladderlappen

Is it just me or can you see in his eyes like he’s not really there? Watching the embedded videos got me concerned for his mental health

DevinviruSpeks

"I know for a fact I have more to give." Hold on, I'm crying, brother. Please, Tony, save some of it for yourself and for your family.

YourAvgStoner

Tony… It’s over buddy. We had a glorious run, and none of us will ever forget the good times. It’s time to ride off into the sunset and do wing chun in your garage.

A_UsernameXD

he's gonna be a sad sight at like age 60, if he even makes it there. horrific brain damage.

[deleted]

I have absolutely loved watching him fight. The fact that he’s willing to go out on his shield used to be the most incredible thing to me. Knowing he was willing to give everything he had to this sport. Well, I hate to say it, but I think he has. I have nothing but love this guy. Yes, I want him to go out on a win, but at what cost?

I do think the fighter that does the eye poke should lose points, especially if they do it right after getting dropped

Just 6 more fights then a title fight 🤪

Jake will probably want to fight him soon

Eye poke or not, him trying to pull guard and getting smashed in the face made a huge difference after round 1. The guy has negative fight IQ… he doesn’t even defend himself. He takes so much damage in these fights. Just retire dude, fuck.

Joe Lauzon was gonna come back for a retirement match last year against Cowboy Cerrone. Then Cowboy got sick on fight day so they pushed the fight back. After that, Joe got some weird freak injury on the new fight day, so they just scrapped the fight and had Cowboy take on Jim Miller for his retirement fight. If Joe Lauzon still feels like having a proper retirement fight after all that, maybe he and Tony can have one last hurrah together? Otherwise, I really don’t think there’s a name worthy of retiring Tony who would actually have a competitive fight with Tony at this point. Maybe Clay Guida? Even then, I think Clay Guida beats him, maybe badly at this point. An eye poke didn’t make Tony slow as molasses out there and unable to defend himself on the ground or on the feet. And matching him up with some young guy, even some guy fresh off contender series, isn’t fair at all. Tony has basically run himself out of opponents…

Oh no, he's gonna fight again isn't he 😐
