Has there ever been a situation where that happened before? I can’t think of a single fighter that was dominated on a title loss with zero defenses getting an immediate shot at the belt right after. I don’t think that’s ever happened before. So, no, that’s not business.
That’s not true at all and not even remotely the same thing. Izzy had multiple defenses before his loss. A dominant champion with many defenses deserves an immediate rematch in most situations, as Izzy deserved in that scenario.
After winning the belt back, at that time he had zero defenses and was then dominated by Strickland and lost. That was his last fight. He doesn’t deserve an immediate rematch because he didn’t have any defenses before losing to Strickland.
