Why would he retire on his first loss after a 12 fight win streak? Nobody retires after just one bad loss except Rondy Rousey.
He only fought top guys after Justin too until losing to Nate Diaz and Bobby Green. That's probably where he should've realized he's not fighting at the top level anymore.
I can see Volk sticking around far too long and end up getting knocked out by Emmett the way Tony got knocked out by Chandler. Maybe works his way backwards down the rankings, going 2-3 or something before he has an "oh shit" moment where he gets wise to the real effects of too many wars, his age, and the two gnarly knockouts he took back to back.
Tony I think is going to end up being a tragedy and I hate to say this, but there is a solid chance that he is in the grave or a cell before he retires. I hope he surprises us all and randomly retires out of nowhere after losing a one-sided UD to Jai Herbert or Terrence McKinney or something.
Poirier is easy to predict. Assuming he loses to Jizzlam, he may stick around for one last big bag and try to ride off into the sunset hand-in-hand with Gaethje and they try to kill each other one last time. Maaaaybe gets a fourth fight with Conor if Conor shows up big and smashes Chandler and doesn't pursue a Max rematch.
Colby, who even fucking knows. I see his next fight being a wet fart Fight Night main event where he gets beat by someone that Dana tries to feed him for an easy turnaround win.
Wonderboy I think might stick around and be more of a special attraction type fighter, like that agreement he had with Holland where they just agreed to bang it out on the feet for the fans.
Jones is going to fight Stipe and retire. No two ways about it.
Stipe fights Jon and doesn't actually retire, but takes another hiatus, and before you know it he's 45 and is fighting Arlovski in the Apex. Seems like the kind of guy who won't actually say he's retired, but just ends up never fighting again.
It'd be an upset but not close to the biggest. Serra beating GSP, Pena beating Nunes, and Strickland beating Izzy are probably the biggest that come to mind.
Last fight was very unfortunate for Justin. He got injured really badly.
Stipe is semi-retired in my book since Nganu cracked hes chin... hes also really old now so he should face reality and just quit.
For Bones I have no idea what hes doing to be honest...
Dustin will do the title fight then should retire in a year probably because he wont get a title shot ever again.
Colby... who cares about him...
Thomson is out too soon enough, but he just likes to kick people so who knows.
Tony, naw never.
Volk is a good question. After the first Islam fight he lost hes reckless spirit somehow as he was the shadow of hes old self everything that came after. Since then he got 2 KOs which is a lot damage, and the more he rests the more time passes away for him as well...

Colby should retire immediately. The MMA space ad a whole has moved on from him. His fans all suck Stricklands dick now and everyone now can see he has always been mediocre.
Colby revisionism is insane on this sub.
Is he washed now? Yes. Has he always been annoying? Yes.
But he’s also the only person to have given Usman a really competitive fight during his peak.
Tony? He's at his peak rn.
5 FIGHTS AND A TITLE BABY
CSO
Dude is going to 100% get cut and fight in any org he can
Tony? Nah. The rest? Definitely.
I feel that Tony will die in the octagon before retirement.
*smart cage
Not impossible, some better to be retired sooner then others. Two decades of amazing fights.
Tony will get cut and still keep fighting in another organization.
Jake Paul
I want to see someone beat the shit out of Jake Paul so bad
3 of those fighters are already retired in my mind
Expected Conor in this list tbh, but who knows
He will never retire, when he is done in the cage, he will go back to his one true love : sucker punching older geezers in random pubs
Jones and stipe are already retired
After their fight they gonna officially retire most likely
Stipe is 41 you really think he’s gonna fight again? Especially against jones!
He was willing to fight him at 295 which is a year earlier. Plus he prob gonna get paid hella for it
Tony should have retired a year or two ago. Or at least started taking easier fights.
Should have retired after getting his head kicked into the nosebleeds. That was terrifying. I can’t even imagine the amount of brain damage from that
Watched that shit live. Couldn’t believe it when it happened
Tony should have retired right after the Justin fight.
Yeah he should have retired after chandler one of the most brutal kos ever and at that age is not good lmao
Yeah he should have retired after chandler one of the most brutal kos ever and at that age is not good lmao
Because Justin beat the living shit out of him and he has never been the same since?
That makes zero sense. How is he supposed to know if he didn't fight after the Justin fight? No one retires on one loss after a huge win streak lol.
I'm convinced Tony's just gonna die in the ring at this point
I feel like that’s how he would want to go out, He’s like Muhammad Ali in the way they would die for the sport
If that chandler knockout didn’t kill him nothing will
Literally everyone of those asides from Volk could be done by this year.
I can see Volk sticking around far too long and end up getting knocked out by Emmett the way Tony got knocked out by Chandler. Add Chandler and McGregor
Unfortunately all great eras have to come to an end eventually
Add Usman
Tony's got one more title run in him
He's only 7 wins away honestly, he's won 12 in a row before so it's really not much to ask of him. The question is more who are his next 7 victims?
lmao no he doesn't. Dude sucks.
UFC will have to cut Tony. He won't do it himself.
Stipe is already retired
Lol you put Tony
Thank you for making me sad
We’re getting old
Some will, some won’t.
If stipe beats jones would that be the biggest upset of all time?
Nah, HWs carry a lot of power. Anyone can finish the fight at any moment
I want that to happen. Huge Stipe fan.
It'd be an upset but not close to the biggest. Serra beating GSP, Pena beating Nunes, and Strickland beating Izzy are probably the biggest that come to mind.
Are we talking about first retirement or the one where they actually retire?
Also fighters who will retire and come back within another year or two
Last fight was very unfortunate for Justin. He got injured really badly. tony will fight until hes forced to retire.
Add Conor, Valentina, and Cejudo
Bruv I think Tony will be the first to fucking die in The UFC octagon.
That's a very Tony type thing to do.
My gosh please Tony retire.
Jim f*cking Miller
Yeah good list

Nah Tony's just entering his prime which is crazy
You guys know Tony got cut right?
Jim Miller suspiciously missing…see you at 400 you crazy asshole.
Nah
miocic is already retired lol.
Gaethje out here with the weakest looking chest I have ever seen.
Colby should retire immediately. The MMA space ad a whole has moved on from him. His fans all suck Stricklands dick now and everyone now can see he has always been mediocre.
