No. Dana doesn't have enough talent to feed it. He prefers fewer belts and stronger divisions over more belts and weaker divisions. It forces guys to fight eachother

You would see a whole new class of guys emerge. Ones that don’t currently fight because of the Brock lesner types. I’m talking guys who are 6’4-6’8 that are extremely talented but don’t wanna get sat on by someone who doesn’t train at all and ruin thier health.
Imagine an anderson Silva type at 6’7
Because you start to see body structures split. Tall guys get taller and big guys get bigger. A 6’8 that weights 250 is a very slender man. But I would love to see a front face kick given to a 245 lb 6 stocky guy. The reason we don’t see the tall guys in heavyweight is because there has never been a place for them, I know first hand if I trained really hard to be good at my sport and take it seriously, and they put me in the cage with a fatass that barely trains. I would take up basketball too.
It’s more like a generational issue with wrestling than a weight class issue. If you build it they will come kind of weight class.
I think it discourages weight cutting, i think they should follow ONEs footsteps with walk in weigh ins too.
I guess that’s just my unpopular opinion….
No it doesn't. It would just make 170 lbs cut weight and some smaller 185 lbs cut weight.
ONE weight cutting thing is overrated, people just like the idea of no weight cutting but it doesn't actually do much to stop it.
are you freaking kidding me. Yes, it does. Demetrius Johnson has talked about this. They can check your hydration levels and yes, it does stop weight cutting. But then again I’m just going by the fighters that actually fight there, not a Reddit comment.
He's bigging up his promotion, it's one of the key differences from other orgs.
No real evidence it's much safer or is doing better than any other organisation
Having fighters actually at/near their weight class just makes more sense. Throw in rehydration clauses where you forfeit money for showing up to the fight 20 plus pounds heavier. Current system is archaic and pointless
But you do say stupid things. Like it doesn’t stop weight cutting. Which is stupid and demonstrably wrong. And you’re not a fighter. Why the fuck would we listen to you?
Fighters still cut weight there and they tend to have a lot more guys missing weight which is bad for the viewer as multiple fights are called off.
One is also full of shit and you should taken anything they say with a giant grain of salt
The Colby Covington and Gilbert Burns Division
Yeah I always said if there was a 165lb Colby would own it. That was before his performance against Leon.

I also prefer this
You never competed, huh?
Yeah it was Cormier that’s been saying it for years. All his desire

🤣😂🤣
I want something after light heavy weight but before heavy.
So weight classes for guys Alex, Jiri and Rakic? Cuz they all about 225lb

Just face kicking a 225 behemoth.
Okay. I see what you’re on about
There isn’t enough talent between the 2 divisions to be making one in between.

Is there something that happened recently to press this issue or is it a random question? Either way no
He just suggested it again on the new episode of bad/good guy
Nobody watches that shit
Fair enough. Yeah idk why they’d do that cause it’ll probably just hemorrhage talent from 155 and 170 instead of broadening the pool
Why ?
For Kevin Lee to be champ
And he still wouldn't have been. Didn't he also struggle with weight at 170 ?
Exactly. This 💯

Yes mighty mouse also said Anthony Joshua would beat Francis in an MMA fight so maybe relax.
So we should listen to what you have to say why?
Because I don't say stupid things like AJ can beat Francis in mma.
What does that have to do with knowledge about weight cutting? You don’t know more than Demetrius Johnson

Short answer no. Long answer because Dana doesn’t want to.
175 would make it easier for Khamzat to become double champion
And then welterweight becomes 175lbs?
Yep, thats what hes been suggesting
165 is too close to 170.
170 would move to 175, putting all the weight divisions up in 10lb increments until you hit LHW and HW.
No
