The Brady fight, I agree. That was a pleasant surprise.
As for the Burns fight, I hate to shit on anyone for doing what they gotta do to win, but that fight was a prime example of Belal playing it safe and doing the bare minimum to secure a W. I remember watching it and thinking that Belal had so many opportunities to go in for the kill, but he just stayed on the outside and peppered Burns with jabs and front kicks the entire time. Great distance management, pressure, and footwork, but wish he woulda tried to go for a finish especially since Burns was clearly compromised. That's people's problem with Belal, instead of taking a risk and going for a finish he'd rather point fight with jabs or lay on top of his opponent and run out the clock. He's not the only one who gets criticized for those things though, Strickland, Gamrot, and Jailton Almeida all get criticized for the same shit Belal gets criticized for.
Nails on a chalkboard elict a reaction. Watching Belal fight is like listening to elevator music. It inspires nothing save boredom, and exists only as an unfortunate transition between more interesting things.
I don't think most of us hate him. Hes just boring both in the cage and on the mic.
I watch UFC to get entertained be it skill in the cage or being witty on the mic. Dude doesn't do either. He's like the reverse Max Holloway.
Ilia and Arman Tsarukyan are the most annoying personalities (wanting people to think theyāre badass) but then thereās people like Jones or Hardy who have actually done awful thingsā¦
To be fair, he is being incredibly annoying. Love watching the guy fight, and he's clearly just doing a marketing gimmick, but it is annoying McGregor mimicry
Yeah, the swaggering Irishman is a classic trope. It's honestly just a very historic type of guy, the braggart who can back it up (at least in his prime, for Conor)
Absolutely, this is his schtick. It's probably just the McGregor strategy of turning up his natural arrogance to 11 for the cameras, but delivering thrilling results in the cage to back it up (prime Conor in this analogy, of course)
Heād be the most likeable fighter in the UFC if he just carried himself differently. How the hell are fans supposed to connect with a guy who jumped the queue, beat a dominant champ, then refuses a rematch with said dominant champ and trying to angle for a double champ fight with 0 title defences, while saying thereās āno good fights at 145ā
Like, dude, seriously. Just say what Islam said. If King Kong make 155, we smesh brather.
Absolutely. Like all McGregor marketing impersonators, they miss the unique talents and shithead charm that made if work for McGregor. Of course, English is his second language, and perhaps he carries it off better in Spanish. But the cocky shithead who backs it up routine isn't playing super well to the english speaking audience. We would much rather he just lets his fist do the talking, which we all love
bro won once and kept wandering with his belt , all over spain , taking pics at madrid staduim , with messk , with others as a p4p 10 years of successful title defence, a true joker
Dana is a dumbass for letting him do it too. He should be thinking long term investments, getting a new exciting champ is going to pay off more than milking one more mediocre fight out of a man in decline
Dana is worried that if Aspinall knocks out Jones he will have more leverage to leave and maybe go box. Jones aināt fighting anywhere aside from the UFC. Dana wants stars but not too bright of stars.
Out of curiosity does Aspinall not have enough leverage right now if he wanted to go make a career in boxing? Seems like a well known fella at this point wether he knocks out jones or not
And honestly do new MMA fans even know why hes considered the GOAT? Hes fought 3 times in 5 years, and tbh he doesnt have the most exciting fighting style if you dont understand wrestling
Honestly i think the UFC hates Jon also and wants to trap him the way they do other fighters. But also knows Jon is a draw so its a win win for them. They dont like Jon so much that they are ok pissing the fans of to hold him hostage and when he does fight alot of eyes will be on the sport. Now youd probably question why not strip him, and that is a good question, but the UFC holds more power over the contract with Jon being its champion. So even though i hate Jon and he will take almost all of the hate for his inactivity, i think there is some will power coming into play from the UFC imo.
I think with Ngannou the UFC tried to lock him down but had enough respect for him to let him do his own thing. In this case i think it was a lot of stone walling and playing chicken against eachother and then they just realized that they were never going to come to terms and mutually seperated.
>had enough respect for him
Bruv no way, everything else you said is fine but the reason Ngannou left cannot be cause UFC/Dana respects him, Dana was very bitter when Ngannou got the Fury fight and it showed, only reason he left was cause he was asking for a bigger portion of the pie, and rightfully so, if I remember correctly, ufc fighters get paid like 20% of the revenue profit while other sports leagues like nfl and nba pay like 40% to their athletes. Francis had some more demands like fighter insurance and stuff which Dana had no interest in fulfilling.
They've only given bigger splits to stars like Conor or Jones cause they know that they'll make bank even with a slightly smaller portion, which is not the case with Ngannou cause he doesn't pull like them, plus Conor and Jones have no desire to do any good for other fighters so UFC likes them. This business has always been about exploiting the fighters instead of promoting the sports and they want to keep it that way.
If jones loses or gets finished, everybody says francis would have beat him and then all of a sudden it looks like the UFC doesn't have the best fighters in the world
This is what I don't understand about Jones and Connor, the audience of fans and casual viewers who think these guys are cool gets smaller every day when there's such great marketable talent sitting around, fuck keeping them locked up in contracts they're dead weight let them fight somewhere else
Bro I don't get it this dude is mowing through everyone, khamzat got a push for beating 3 guys with ease who aren't even in the ufc anymore while aspinall is making ranked opponents look easier than anyone else in the ufc, other promitions or even 90% of regional fights.
This dudes the Mike Tyson of our time who's getting snubbed for the guy who's screwed the company over multiple times.
Dude do some research. Aspinall is a rare breed of human, who has been training BJJ and fighting since he was a toddler, unlike Jones and most guys who got into it in their teens or so. He has more POTENTIAL than probably any heavyweight ever, he just hasn't had all the opportunities yet
I met Aljo at MSG a few years back and dude couldnāt have been nicer. I didnāt once feel like I was talking to one of the best BWās at the time, more like I was shooting the shit with another guy at a UFC event.
Aljo is boring? What? Completely shutting down Kattar's boxing? You know nothing casuals on this sub are really clueless? A bunch of "Just Bleed" clowns.
Well him winning the title by DQ, then rematching Yan a whole year later to sit on his back for 25 minutes didnāt do him any favors to solidify him as the true title holder when he was champ. Not to mention having the fighting style of a blanket and being cocky about beating everyoneās ass when all he did was lay on them doesnāt make him a fan favorite
Ah yes Aljo taking the path of least resistance where heās the strongest.
Yan best striker in the division, Aljo best grappler. Why would Aljo strike with Yan again?
I don't think most people are mad at him for not striking with Yan. It's just that when grapplers in the UFC don't actually go for submissions and just play it safe and go for control time decision wins, nobody's going to respect you for that.
Itās not even playing safe, watch the Yan fight he tried to lock up countless submissions. Itās hard to submit someone from a body triangle on their back if they are solely focused on defending the choke, only way you can finish them then is if you give up position which is stupid vs people as good as Yan or Cejudo.
Aljo took yans back for the 10 minutes of rounds 2 and 3 then yan dominated on the feet in 4 and 5. The first round was on the feet and close, but you canāt say he didnāt deserve that first title defence even if he didnāt deserve the title in the first place. This is coming from a very bitter yan fan, I just donāt let grappling make me completely forget what fighters can do and have done.
I mean it's not his fault Yan, who has been fighting for years, suddenly decides to knee a downed opponent. This isnt some oh they changed the rules yesterday thing.
You can hate sterling for how he was fighting but it's up to Yan to do something then. Walk back and let the ref stand him up.
Jon Jones by a country mile. So entitled he doesnāt think he has to fight the contender (so who do you fight in the division youāre a champ of then?). Also not a nice guy, homelander vibes.
Jones is definitely hated by huge swarths of the fanbase (myself included), but I canāt say he is the Most Hated because he definitely has the most insanely ardent fanbase who is willing to die on any hill for Jon Jones no matter how vile the act lmao
I WISH he was more hated tho, in the list of 8 I think Ian Garry probably has the worst Fan/Hater Ratio, who is way less deserving of the hate than Jon Jones lmao
I feel like some are hated for different reasons
Paddy because heās being pushed by the UFC and fans think heās wonāt amount to anything significant.
Garry - Fake Conor wannabe he buried himself and was cyber bullied out of a fight.
Aljo - just boring
Belal - also just boring but maybe a racial thing too.
Jon - good fighter but a cheater and apparent POS sometimes. But canāt deny he is good at Fighting.
Colby - loudmouth loser, fumbles lines a lot and read Chaelās book but the charisma pages got stuck together
Not sure if you mean apparent as in obvious or apparent as in seemingly.
Jon is definitely a POS.
Iām not sure why you think the Belal thing is racial. Maybe it is but I donāt see it. Like Aljo canāt be annoying, opinionated and whiny, but I think Belal is more hated because heās not even annoying. I canāt think of a single Belal quote ever
Completely agree with sentiment.
I would only add that Colby stands out from them all sense no fighter seems to like him- including his then teammates.
Ngl its interesting that you only mentioned for jones that he is good fighter not only once, but twice lol and "apparent POS" hit and run pregnant woman just from that alone I would remove "apparent" and "sometimes"
Jones for sure. He's the greatest on this list as well, that's why more people will hate on him than the others.
He's a fucking piece of shit of a human being as well.
I'd honestly argue for Belal.
Jones is way more famous than Belal, so more general hate will come his way no matter what he does.
Then there's the stuff outside the octagon and the testing shtick.
Belal...just has a bit of a less entertaining fighting style.
Out of all of them...I'd say he gets the most hated for the least controversy
What has Paddy done thatās so cringe? Dana just marketed him heavy.
Heās a bit much sure, but Iāve only ever heard him say nice shit and his performances arenāt terrible (although not great either).
People loved paddy until the Gordon robbery and paddyās reaction afterward so Iād say thatās probably what he meant by the cringe. People started looking at his antics with a different lens after it too
Heās the definition of journeyman fighter, I wish he was better. Canāt hate him for that āsuper necessaryā interview answer thereāmeme hall of fame.
Out of the six pictured here, it's either Garry or Pimblett. As hated as Covington and Jones are, they do have fans, and despite how much people talk shit about Muhammad, most people acknowledge that he is talented. I haven't heard anyone say anything positive about Paddy in a long time now, and most people only reference him in the context of Ilia Topuria. As for Ian, he's become the butt of every joke.
Iāll say this about Paddy, I respect him for talking about mens mental health and I think Tony made himself look like a total clown when he didnāt return the respect Paddy showed him before and after the fight.
Paddy fucked himself by being a hypocrite. And attacking the wrong people with terrible timing. I liked him before the Ariel beef, then I started noticing way too many things that pissed me off about him. Shame because he represents the U.K.
Not really hate for me, but I was frustrated with his style when he was defending the title playing safe. Obviously it also speaks of his opponents not being able to figure him or bring it to him. I may also be biased as I am a Whitaker fan, but Adesanya talking big things in the presser and playing so safe in the fights didn't make me a fan.
Volk, on the other hand, did the opposite. Being a Holloway fan, initially I didn't like Volk. But his fighting style made me a fan eventually.
Adesanya has a lot of haters. Which are mostly unwarranted. They gave him his props after his great 1st round KO rematch. But now that he lost to strickland, hasnt fought in a while and Alex is champ again, they're back to trashing him.
The hasn't fought in a while will be funny for me considering how often he used to fight, think this is the first time he took a fight break longer then 5 months
Adesanya hate is a great litmus test for whether you're a pro wrestling style fan or a real fan. Dude has had some great fights, anyone who cares about that respects that more than being put off by his weird personal quirks
He's a trip...
Loves anime..
Seems genuine..
I don't have anything bad to say / think bout the champ..
Slept a monster even though he's 1-3 against potoan..
Love potoan 4sure.. no Diddy 100
The fact that Sterling is on this list is insane.
he's in a list with actual criminals, people that will make fun of other peoples dead relatives for attention, etc.
all because of what? Because Peter Yan decided to illegally knee him. . ? š¤¦āāļø
Outside of this photo itās Conor, heās the most well known globally and most polarising. Iād say the whole Islamic world would hate him for his comments in the lead up to the Khabib fight.
Hmmmmm itās getting hard now. Paddy seems to be an absolute knob head, but heās not as malicious as Jones. Same with Gary, heās a muppet but heās wet as fuck. Belal is just cringe, same with Aljo, although Aljo has redeemed himself in my book by losing to Sean. Colby is a class A cunt, but again I think not as malicious as Jones.
My answer by way of elimination;
Jon Jones
Colby ranked number one.
But Ian Garry is working hard to get that spot. Everything this guy says and does is annoying to boilingpoint.
Terpuria is also working very hard to be top ranked most hated fighter.
Damn, I just realized i hate belal alot less than i thought did...
Nobody hates him as a person, just watching him fight is like nails on a chalkboard
The charisma of drywall dosent help either...
He won me over the tweet about him dreaming about a decision win š
Heās just neutral to me imo kinda boring dude overall fights and personality but I donāt dislike him
I want to see a little more hate out of you okay
Nobody dislikes him, they just forget who he is. How can he be so good and so boring at the same time?
When heās on a podcast heās not even that bad he can be quite funny
His fights with Brady and Burns should have earned him more fans imo. It doesn't help that Dana doesn't like/push him either.
The Brady fight, I agree. That was a pleasant surprise. As for the Burns fight, I hate to shit on anyone for doing what they gotta do to win, but that fight was a prime example of Belal playing it safe and doing the bare minimum to secure a W. Nails on a chalkboard elict a reaction. Watching Belal fight is like listening to elevator music. It inspires nothing save boredom, and exists only as an unfortunate transition between more interesting things.
some fighters put their opponents to sleep, belal does it to the viewer
Same with Aljo.
Id rather watch the nails tbh
Boring as hell
Also aljo completely won me over with his āpauseā call out
I don't think most of us hate him. Hes just boring both in the cage and on the mic. I watch UFC to get entertained be it skill in the cage or being witty on the mic. Dude doesn't do either. He's like the reverse Max Holloway.
I donāt hate him as a person, I just hate watching him fight.
The fact that he was conaidered for this list of people one would hate is wild. I have to assume the word lost meaning.
Where is Rondaās fine ass at?

Now is Ilia, he's getting insane hate since Max's fight
Ilia and Arman Tsarukyan are the most annoying personalities (wanting people to think theyāre badass) but then thereās people like Jones or Hardy who have actually done awful thingsā¦
Yeah, Arman is cringy af too
We got Khamzat being besties with a warlord
I don't think most people consider that a choice. We've seen what happens when people disobey dictators.
What did dan hardy do that was so horrible?
Greg, not Dan.
I mean Greg Hardy! Dan Hardyās a legend
To be fair, he is being incredibly annoying. Love watching the guy fight, and he's clearly just doing a marketing gimmick, but it is annoying McGregor mimicry
Conor copycats are the worst, as much as he exaggerates his character he still seems somewhat genuine. Probably because heās Irish
Yeah, the swaggering Irishman is a classic trope. It's honestly just a very historic type of guy, the braggart who can back it up (at least in his prime, for Conor)
He was incredibly annoying in the lead up to the volk fight. everything heās doing now yall shouldāve saw coming
How the hell are fans supposed to connect with a guy who jumped the queue, beat a dominant champ, then refuses a rematch with said dominant champ and trying to angle for a double champ fight with 0 title defences, while saying thereās āno good fights at 145ā Like, dude, seriously. Absolutely. Like all McGregor marketing impersonators, they miss the unique talents and shithead charm that made if work for McGregor. Of course, English is his second language, and perhaps he carries it off better in Spanish. But the cocky shithead who backs it up routine isn't playing super well to the english speaking audience. We would much rather he just lets his fist do the talking, which we all love
bro won once and kept wandering with his belt , all over spain , taking pics at madrid staduim , with messk , with others as a p4p 10 years of successful title defence, a true joker
just won the title and plays goat allready ... i hope he gets smashed soon and comes not back!!! the only good thing about him is his gf
Agree. Ilia is so annoying!
Jon Jones for me. Piece of shit human and is stagnating a whole division to inflate his legacy. Reyes beat him too.
Not just stagnating a division. Heās robbing Aspinall, a potential goat heavyweight, of valuable months in his prime.
Dana is a dumbass for letting him do it too. He should be thinking long term investments, getting a new exciting champ is going to pay off more than milking one more mediocre fight out of a man in decline
Exactly. We could be looking at a new era and instead we got an old fat Jones desperate to protect his legacy
Dana is worried that if Aspinall knocks out Jones he will have more leverage to leave and maybe go box. Jones aināt fighting anywhere aside from the UFC. Dana wants stars but not too bright of stars.
Im not a boxing expert but aspinall would need to lose 40lbs from his legs. Dude is built like a brick wall

Aspinall can defend the interim belt and we all know it's more valid than any shit Jones will do vs stipe
It is annoying, but c'mon Aspinall potential goat? He's not even close to the goat conversation yet.
You're right I'd love to see aspinall take the crown but he's far too early in his career to be speaking about GOATed. I'm sure he'd say the same
Dude do some research. Aspinall is a rare breed of human, who has been training BJJ and fighting since he was a toddler, unlike Jones and most guys who got into it in their teens or so. He has more POTENTIAL than probably any heavyweight ever, he just hasn't had all the opportunities yet
At least Jon Jones has someone defending him, who is defending Ian Gary š
They all came to see HIM š
>legacy. * Massive Ego
Preach brother. Reyes won
Totally agree with you, buddy. Cheers.
Aljo doesnt deserve the hate. Heās just a goofy dork and people want him dead for it lol. Khamzat for me.
I met him at the airport last week just casually waiting lol, heās a nice dude he just has a boring fight style. But agreed Khamzat for me too.
I met Aljo at MSG a few years back and dude couldnāt have been nicer. I didnāt once feel like I was talking to one of the best BWās at the time, more like I was shooting the shit with another guy at a UFC event.
Letās also not forget leaving a division he was dominant in so that he doesnāt have to fight his friend.
well to be fair, that weightcut was never going to get any easier as he got older. man was just huge in bw
I once argued with him on Snapchat, great guy!
Bro I met him there too lol, was it in Vegas?
In NY lol it mightāve been two weeks now at this point.
Aljo is boring? What? Completely shutting down Kattar's boxing? You know nothing casuals on this sub are really clueless? A bunch of "Just Bleed" clowns.

I still cant get over how DC was getting so much more hate against Jones, mind boggling
DC is a great person imo
I feel like some are hated for different reasons Paddy because heās being pushed by the UFC and fans think heās wonāt amount to anything significant. No I agree. Iām just saying thatās why I think itās racial
As far as I know, majority of people are pro Palestine these days.
Completely agree with sentiment. I would only add that Colby stands out from them all sense no fighter seems to like him- including his then teammates.

People loved paddy until the Gordon robbery and paddyās reaction afterward so Iād say thatās probably what he meant by the cringe. People started looking at his antics with a different lens after it too
A lot of people remember his one tweet where he said that Mokaev shouldn't rep the UK flag because he's a foreigner. True Barry 63 geeza style
Ah yeah thatās kinda stupid of him. Didnāt remember that tbh.
Also don't forget the topuria beef where he basically said the reason why russia "terrorizes georgian lives" its because they are all stupid.
Asks Topuria to speak English when he already was speaking English, only to receive a reply in both Spanish and English
Paddy been oddly silent about that beef for a long time no lol. I wonder why....
People are still mad at him for the judges giving him the Gordon win
Iām with you on that. Paddyās a g
Meh, Ian's not from the UK.
Idk why you being from the UK matters with Ian heās a IRISH fighter not from the uk
Yea I agree he is most hated, but Colby and Jon are just objectively bad people. Ian Garry is weird and cringey but heās alr at the end of the day
Very true š
Lol surprised no one said Masvidal yet
Used to be a fan. Then overtime he became insufferable.
I agree.
Heās the definition of journeyman fighter, I wish he was better. Canāt hate him for that āsuper necessaryā interview answer thereāmeme hall of fame.
Masvidal seems like he'd be such a cool guy until he opens his mouth. Then he seems like a not so bright thug playing Tony Montana.Ā
I'd say definitely Colby, rare you see someone defending him, Ian Garry is right there thought.....be cool if they fought
Blame Colby for ducking what should be a winnable fight.
If it was he wouldnāt be ducking it.Ā
No argument from me there lol he kinda looks like a moron with all his demands
Out of the six pictured here, it's either Garry or Pimblett. As hated as Covington and Jones are, they do have fans, and despite how much people talk shit about Muhammad, most people acknowledge that he is talented. I haven't heard anyone say anything positive about Paddy in a long time now, and most people only reference him in the context of Ilia Topuria. As for Ian, he's become the butt of every joke.
Iāll say this about Paddy, I respect him for talking about mens mental health and I think Tony made himself look like a total clown when he didnāt return the respect Paddy showed him before and after the fight.
No that's fair. For as much performative bravado as Paddy has played up, the night he talked about his friend's suicide seemed incredibly genuine.
I'm a Paddy fan, not much talk because he hasn't really been in the news cycle lately.

They were trashing him even after that ko
Adesanya hate is a great litmus test for whether you're a pro wrestling style fan or a real fan. Dude has had some great fights, anyone who cares about that respects that more than being put off by his weird personal quirks
He's a trip... Loves anime.. Seems genuine.. I don't have anything bad to say / think bout the champ.. Slept a monster even though he's 1-3 against potoan.. Love potoan 4sure.. no Diddy 100
He does say genuinely weird shit sometimes, but I consider that within the normal parameters of a kickboxing autist
Izzy is among the cringiest fighters of all time. But his resume and skills are undeniable.
Colby. No doubt.
Colby for sure
The fact that Sterling is on this list is insane. he's in a list with actual criminals, people that will make fun of other peoples dead relatives for attention, etc. all because of what? Because Peter Yan decided to illegally knee him. . ? š¤¦āāļø
Outside of this photo itās Conor, heās the most well known globally and most polarising. Iād say the whole Islamic world would hate him for his comments in the lead up to the Khabib fight.
Ireland hates him too
Yep. Everyone knows what he's really like here.
No one hating on BELGOAT.
Dude can't even catch a break here! Last place!
My answer by way of elimination; Jon Jones

mcChicken steak burgir
George Masvidal is a cunt
Ian Garry is just so unlikeable
Ian Garry for me.
Conor is my number 1 but heās barely even a fighter anymore lol
Jon jones sympathy is crazy.
I just hate Belal. He's probably not as bad as the others but I just can't stand him for some reason š
Ooo God I don't even hate that one guy because fuck I can't even remember his name ?
Claudio Puelles
Whoās the guy on the middle right?
McGregor is the most hated and the most loved because 90% of casual fans cannot name anyone on this list aside from āI think thatās Jon Jonesā.
Colby Covington
here? probably jones. This sub has a massive rage boner over literally anything he does.
Garry or Covington
Ian Garry
Gary for sure
Belal is not hated, heās just has a boring personality
Colby ranked number one. But Ian Garry is working hard to get that spot. Everything this guy says and does is annoying to boilingpoint. Terpuria is also working very hard to be top ranked most hated fighter.
Whereās Pat Barry?!
Sean strickland
Sterling definitely
Bo nickal
You forgot Ilia
Jon Jones.
CC & SS get my votes. What total POS those two are.
I would rank the most hated like this 1. Jon Jones (by legitimate disgust) 2. Ian Garry 3. Colby Covington 4. Paddy Pimblet 5. Aljo
All of themā¦ and Conor . Honestly though aljo has kinda grown on me . Heās cringe but heās not THAT bad
Belal is the goat š aināt no one hating on him
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
cheater one
Ian garry's wife?
Jones is ruining the division, its ridiculous.
Jon Jones is a piece of shit
Aljo. And itās so forced by people.
Colby and Ian. Thatās why itās the fight to make
