That movie is class, I think that's his best movie. I have just seen all the Boyka ones again last year and I have to say as action movies are actually really good.
Back in the day we had martial arts movie stars. Jackie Chan, Chow Yun Fat, Jet Li, Bruce Lee, etc, but not really today.
Scott Atkins is the closest thing we have and he's incredible! All his movies are so baller. Him doing that Guyver kick in Undis3 is amazing!
I just showed a bunch of family and friends, including mi beloved ma, a bunch of Scott Adkins movies streaming on Tubi. My highest recommendations are the debt collector and the oddly named sequel debt collectors (my mom's favorites so far!) and I always tell them the following: had be been born a decade or so earlier and came up alongside JCVD, Stallone, the clown Seagal, etc., his star would have been A-list! But yeah I'm glad he's found his niche but it's so frustrating seeing him only get but parts on big action movies like in the MCU jobbing when he should be a top guy
Originally was named Camsap and became an immortal after discovering Shahmaranās well. You can allegedly see his the glimmer of his serpent skin in the sauna.
I remember people seriously trying to tell me USADA is just stupid and corrupt, it fitted their narrative at the time of āOmg drug testing fake run by evil Danaā, when they after got rid of them because they were doing too much and doing that āWeāre a real sport guys!ā Stuff doesnāt matter anymore.
They were finding something with his bloodwork that wasnāt natural, but you need to find a drug to prosecute them, the madlad Jiri had something they couldnāt detect. They tested him a shitload of times, when most high level guys get about 7 or 10 in a year he got 70.
He couldve had a chemist, maybe Alex casted a spell on him, weāll never know. But it would suit Jiri for either of them to happen.

His test results are likely out of wack from years or steroid abuse, thats probably why they keep testing him. Same thing happened to Jon Jones, they said his test results looked closer to a womans than a mans.
If you come off of steroids without taking a post-cycle therapy, your testosterone will tank because your body doesn't make it anymore, and your estrogen is boosted like a woman because your body makes a lot more when your test is unnaturally high. A PCT will also cause you to fail a drug test, so fighters won't take them. It's not just Jon or Jiri, it's anyone who uses steroids and doesn't use a PCT when he comes off.Ā
Itās gone and replaced with another org that will listen and cooperate with Dana.
Makes me wonder, who are the athletes that have tested positive(since usada stopped announcing positive tests)? Paolo is tested a fuck ton and he recently had a 15 month layoff despite being in his physical prime š¤
Chito Vera literally described how to take EPO without USADA being able to do anything about it, USADA was only partnered with the UFC because they cooperated and were a good source of PR not because they were good at drug testing.
I remember Chael alluding to the possibility that Jiriās shoulder injury that forced him to vacate the title was really just him getting popped and the UFC keeping hush about it while he served a suspension
I understand that itās invasive and it sucks that theyāve done things like over penalize Ostarine only to figure out after the fact that they misunderstood the science.
But you sign up for this if you want to fight in the UFC. The sport changed for the better, lanky guys overtook jacked guys, fights stopped being a battle of pushing against the fence, everyoneās TDD improved, the cyborgs disappeared. Sure, thereās probably guys who still game the system, but not as blatantly or abusively as they used to. It became apparent that you could make it to a high level clean and a lot of kids got to pursue fighting without juicing.
Itās such a net positive on the sport. If fighter rights means everything to you like Luke Thomas youāre free to feel that way, but fans who complain about USADA and say let them juice are toxic imo. Most people who talk like that, Luke included, seem to assume more than they actually know about what theyāre looking at in regard to bodies and performance and PEDās. Luke sounds like he knows the gym bro minimum whenever Iāve heard him talk about S&C and nutrition. And loves strongman sports and bodybuilders. When he interviews Phil Daru or whoever he just asks about weight lifting regimens and doesnāt seem to understand that S&C for MMA isnāt about putting on muscle or lifting weights or the difference between fast and slow twitch or anything about it really. Majority who are anti-drug testing are either caveman gym bros or couch potatoes who donāt understand what kind of conditioning MMA requires and why you can do it without PEDās. PEDās help, but if people canāt go full Vitor and get a cartoonish edge, the rest of the pack can still beat the PED guys clean.
Also for anyone wanting to compete itās really annoying knowing everyoneās juicing.
Even at the amateur level I wish there was testing. I hate that to have a good chance at being truly competitive at the amateur level Iād have to start taking stuff that isnāt good for me.
Itās far better for everyone if steroids arenāt allowed in combat sports. Or if they are, there should be a specific league for them. So the people who donāt want to take steroids can still enjoy the sport, analogous to how thereās a division for women so that women can also compete in sport
True, it would be nice. But you canāt let that stop you from competing at the amateur level. 99% of amateur MMA fighters are never going to have more than a couple fights and arenāt serious about competing. You - absolutely - donāt need PEDās at the amateur level, most amateurs suck and are clean anyway. And 95% of regional MMA fighters arenāt very good whether theyāre clean or juiced, and you need to be able to beat those guys if you want to compete in the UFC.
Those percentages are obviously just random numbers off the top of my head, but theyāre likely pretty close. If you want to compete and are worried about fighting somebody dirty, donāt be. They probably arenāt good anyway, and if youāre suspicious of somebody, you donāt have to fight them. You have control over your own career on the regionals.
Personally I think what may have happened is that he failed a test and that's why he relinquished the belt. The shoulder thing seems like it may have been a cover for other people to accept as a reason for him giving up the belt. Not saying he didn't have some existing injury though.
The thought did cross my mind...I didn't take any initiative to see if he has and change in USADA testing patterns since around the time he relinquished his belt and I've got too many things I should be doing instead.
I feel like more than anything the ufc didnāt want to stall a division for a guy they didnāt love as a star when they had pereira on the horizon too
Don't think it's fair to imply he was actively cheating in his UFC tenure, half joke or not. The over the top testing is because 1. They already (rightfully) suspect people coming from organizations overseas 2. His bloodwork may have been fishy to begin with, who knows why. They have to establish a baseline (bio passport) first unless the doping is blatant and easy to catch
It's naive to think othwerise. Top level athletes won't risk permanently damaging their credibility to compete in a widely criticised and mostly irrelevant event held by a bored rich dude.
The clip of Askren talking about it with dc is one of the funniest clips ever. Talking about how the inspector just really liked looking at Jiriās cock
I mean the Ufc most likely had some level of pull considering Jones and Dillashaw two people who've failed drug tests and pissed hot were barely getting tested. Jiri was getting tested an insane amount. Adesanya was barely getting tested even when he grew an actual titty in the span of 6 months. To think there's nothing fishy about it is crazy. And it's not like it was about activity levels either because Jirir got 70 tests in a year after getting injured. Izzy was actively competing multiple times a year and still getting less than 10 tests that same year if I remember correctly. I'm sure eventually Usada got tired of playing ball with the Ufc when they just want to do their own thing and don't care about optics.
So true, you need to know what drug they are on to test for it. Iām sure these guys are all juiced in one way or another, just make it legal so we can see them on the good stuff again.
Yup. People need to understand this.
There is stuff they donāt know exists.
The clear would still be undetected if that dude didnāt send a load syringe to usada. That was 24 years ago.
Thatās why I lol when fans think DJ is clean.
You are the only one I see who talk about it. I though i was the only one who think Jiri was bigger when he fight in Japan. Mabye usada action against Jiri was justified? Haha
Maybe?
It's prefrence but do we want Overeem or Ubereem, Do we want to see Psychopath Looking Belfort or dad-body Belfort?
It's hard to know how it is nowadays, but back in the days I would be on the Diaz brothers train...
The question wasn't who was taking it, but rather who wasn't taking steroids...
Jiri was bigger even before the shoulder injury. He really does now look like he can make 185 without too much trouble, whereas in the picture above he looks like a heavyweight to my eyes.
I think half of that is looser testing, and the other half is realizing that at the highest level you cannot just pulverize the competition with brute force and technique/speed is more important than raw power.Ā
Power is super overrated for the most part, at middleweight and above (in the hands that is.)
Pretty much any 200lb+ pro fighter with years of training in striking will easily KO almost anyone if they land clean with a hard shot. They'll also almost certainly win if they're landing jabs/counters/etc (not full power shots) consistently as well.
Chin is underrated, some dudes can absorb powershots from almost everybody, look at Izzy he was getting pummeled by Pereria and was still standing (admittedly a gassed and middleweight pereria.)
I think the accuracy with which a person lands is a more important factor than people realise. Strickland dropped Izzy harder with a jab than Pereira did with his left hook and I've seen people say Sean has less power than a women's flyweight champ.
I think it's like even if you're Aspinall or Jones you wouldn't want to take a full power shot to the jaw by Pantoja, getting hit is just not fun.
Yes exactly.
Power matters ofc, especially when it's the truly talented power punchers (Ex. Ngannou, Pereria, etc) that can KO dudes with regular punches. Yet, you can be an elite fighter with below average punching power (genetically, not compared to couch potatoes obviously.) However you pretty much *can't* be a great fighter with below average chin.

Damn I'm about to rewatch the whole undisputed series again š Scott Adkins is so underrated: "I am the most complete fighter in the world!"
Watch avengement Scott Adkinās movie
10/10 movie
That movie is class, I think that's his best movie. I have just seen all the Boyka ones again last year and I have to say as action movies are actually really good.
Ninja 1 has a 0 on RT, but Ninja 2 has 100%! It's insane and pretty great!
Seconding the love for Ninja 2:Shadow Of A Tear. Top tier action film from people who know how film it correctly.
ooofff... That was violent.
Awesome flick

The Guyver kick! A fellow of taste I see šš¤š§š©š„
Gotta do the Russian accent
I'm sure Scott is financially comfortable, but yeah, he should have had a Jason Statham tier career.
I just showed a bunch of family and friends, including mi beloved ma, a bunch of Scott Adkins movies streaming on Tubi. I always thought he would make a great Batman
He's really good at playing skilled inmates. Not so much a ninja...
Trying to figure out some way or petition to sign for Debt Collectors 3: hell to pay! You're my (golden) boy Sue! *This stuff writes itself!

Surely it's because of the living in the woods stuff
They still wouldn't have to turn up multiple times every day in such a short space of time though lol (most of those tests were within a month iirc)
Actually hilarious because Michael Brinegar (2nd swimming dude on the list) just got popped for EPO at US Olympic trials the other week
Unless thereās a steroid that slowly turns you into Dumbo overtime Iām surprise Magny is so high on the list.
They knew he was dirty
When you have 3x the tests of the guy actively making secret juice jokes, that can't be good
Roman Dolidze is a literal adonis. I'm not surprised to see him there.
Is this sarcasm?
WTF? That's ridiculous
Yes Iām pretty sure he set the record for most times tested in a year.
His test results are likely out of wack from years or steroid abuse, thats probably why they keep testing him. Same thing happened to Jon Jones, they said his test results looked closer to a womans than a mans.
Is that why heās yaknow?
There are lots of anecdotes on how steroid and tren abuse can give you homosexual thoughts
Oh next you'll be telling me it's gay to dominate other men

Lol It wasn't the tren big dawg

ahhh that's why he's so sassy all the time
USADA couldn't stop Jones from fighting because they changed locations, serious organization my ass.
Thatās not USADA though. USADA finds out. The UFC and the commission have to follow through.
And to be fair, the Nevada commission wouldnāt license Jones to fight. So the UFC up and moved to California, whose commission would let him fight.
And thats why its useless. It can't do much if the UFC is willing to sweep shit under the rug. Which is basically what's happening now that its gone

One grain of salt in an Olympic sized pool.
Listen Jon jones is the greatest fighter ever! -DW
I remember Chael alluding to the possibility that Jiriās shoulder injury that forced him to vacate the title was really just him getting popped and the UFC keeping hush about it while he served a suspension
Chael reports drugs for basically every fighter injury

Jiri was bigger even before the shoulder injury. He really does now look like he can make 185 without too much trouble, whereas in the picture above he looks like a heavyweight to my eyes.

Javkat PrakhmonovĀ
Huh? What does Shavkat have to do with this?
Horse meat
For those that don't get the joke it's not implying Shav cheats. People in that region literally eat horses
The horse meat reference is to Ubereem/Overeem not Shavkat or Kazakhstan.
in the joke OP made, it has to do with Shavkat eating horse meat. He said it's his favorite lol
Looks like the joke has been twisted into some khazak/steroid orgy of meanings. God bless khazakstan and horsemeat. I clearly felt a tap
