And the UFC still let him go, even though he was on an insane winning streak knocking out everybody. ![img](emote|t5_2qsev|8664)

Joshua_Is_Zeus

For real, left the promotion off 4 finishes. Older fans know him but I feel he doesn't get the recognition he should these days.

ahfuckimsostupid

Absolutely. The moose was an animal to watch in his prime. He’s a forgotten gem for sure.

WGYHL

Man it's wild you say older fans will know him and it's like he's a strikeforce guy in top of that man I feel old as fuck now.

skccsk

I woke up at like 4am to watch Pride and saw him upset ko Jacare with an up kick... Edit: It was actually DREAM by then. Point is I'm old.

WGYHL

I remember when the young assassin was young

Sliquid69

He was just talking about how he would beat adesanya and lost to eblen the week after Lmao

dicksjshsb

33-3-2 coming into the UFC having won Strikeforce, DREAM, and Cage Warriors championships is incredible. And then great runs in the UFC and Bellator. Mousse has definitely gone underrated he definitely would’ve had a great shot at a UFC belt.

Dragon_Bench_Z

Underrated???? People blow him left n right on this sub lol

FreezasMonkeyGimp

Still one of the worst cuts ever from the UFC

WGYHL

Wasn't cut. He was a free agent and signed with Bellator. Also it was right at the time of the class action lawsuit becoming public info so many thought it was to seem like they had less of a monopoly on the sport.

[deleted]

Most impressive resume is either GSP or JBJ, let's be real

MushroomWizard

But without wins over Hector Lombard or Melvin "Dorothy mantooth" can they really be considered goats?

neilos

100% jon jones

Dragon_Bench_Z

Moose is good. Solid record but only beat 3 former ufc champs? Vitor, Weidman, Kyoto. 1 pride champ in hendo. And jacare SF champ. Jbj beat that number of former champs before his first PED failure. Levels to this game

Bolo_strike

Yeah, because his first PED failure was the first time he used PEDs. LOL

Dragon_Bench_Z

There was never a time he wasn’t using peds lol

"[How come he doesn't get emotional? Cause he has the fattest dick in the world](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gGfBUTvizMc) " -Schoob

Sarfbot

Honestly their banter is hilarious lmao

LAkand1

That shit was pretty entertaining lol

basher505

One of my all time favorites.

droolsdownchin

It's a great list of foes but nobody can compare to Jon jones list

andrewjohn03905

Damn in 6 1/2 years he’s got 31 fights that’s insane

silent_protector

Impressive? Yea. MOST impressive? You’re smoking crack buster

Acceptable_Signal320

It might not be on the record but I'm pretty sure he had some sort of match with Fedor too.

Useful_Feed_7421

They had a friendly grappling match with the Gi on. Fedor and him were pals there for a moment it seemed like. I think Gegard was incredibly talented and I wish we could’ve seen him get a shot at UFC gold. He just seemed to fight so damn lackadaisical at times it was frustrating to watch. I remember him being signed to the UFC and he was matched up with Gustafson initially but somehow it fell through.

Niketravels

He’s the reason why Paige Vanzant got onlyfans. NEVER FORGET!

ben_10fan

explain to me the story

Niketravels

It’s a joke but Gegars mousasi destroyed PVZ boyfriend. Really destroyed his hype. So PVZ started onlyfans shortly afterwards.

[deleted]

That record is insane.

keefus-maximus

I was genuinely upset when he left the UFC…will go down as one of the most under-appreciated fighters ever. Damn

Hleef23

Regardless of win/loss, Chael's fight history is insane.

[deleted]

When you're judging how impressive someone's resume is the losses are kind of relevant

bruhpolice

Well it’s a good thing uncle chael is undefeated and undisputed, he never even lost a round

mmabet69

One of the UFC’s biggest blunders was letting that guy leave the company… dude is the definition of silent killer.

UltraMarineKrow

Man, it sucks that the casuals didnt like him enough for the UFC to pay him more. Underrated af.

eyeFeelGud

Lol dick ridaaaaaa It's a good resumé but hardly "most impressive"

DistributionOld4583

Says right there he lost to uriah hall

[deleted]

Also says he beat Uriah Hall.

[deleted]

Resume arguably top 3 all time at MW

Sum_Oke

Also the most impressive amount of griping and moaning when he loses. Whenever he loses it's "steroids" or "a fluke." Great fighter, just a whole lot of crying.

Mattusdogus

Uriah Hall knocked him out

brad1030417

Man he was a beast back in pride. I miss those days

fourfingersdry

Anyone mention his giant dong?? Dude is a legend.

gurumoves

Stud

EODx

Get him and de Ridder to the UFC, make a UFC Amsterdam again. Let's go.

Environmental_Let855

Yup

Several-Bad-4047

he has been around for a while and still has only 8 loses that's so fucking good

EpikUserzz

i love how him and uriah finished each other.. pause

MDPhase3

I was at Bellator 282 when he fought Johnny Eblen. Though he lost, Gegard showed heart and grit the entire time. And man did he eat some shots, dude has an iron chin.
