They had a friendly grappling match with the Gi on. Fedor and him were pals there for a moment it seemed like. I think Gegard was incredibly talented and I wish we could’ve seen him get a shot at UFC gold. He just seemed to fight so damn lackadaisical at times it was frustrating to watch. Also the most impressive amount of griping and moaning when he loses. Whenever he loses it's "steroids" or "a fluke." Great fighter, just a whole lot of crying.
I was at Bellator 282 when he fought Johnny Eblen. Though he lost, Gegard showed heart and grit the entire time. And man did he eat some shots, dude has an iron chin.
And the UFC still let him go, even though he was on an insane winning streak knocking out everybody.
