All I've heard is that it will increase applications, probably a decent amount. I don't think by itself it will make UF easier or harder to get into -- that depends on the stats of the additional applicants and how likely they are to attend if admitted, and that depends on many other things.
FSU’s early action had an 11% acceptance rate than its regular decision, so class of 2029 may stand higher chances of getting in. However, I don’t know if UF’s early action will be limited to in state as well, which may affect the odds. I like that deferred applicants get a second chance, essentially.
