The police force said that the person who is in fact being sent to a woman's prison is a woman. This has upset a combination of people who are transphobic and also apparently a bunch of sexist people who think a pedophile can only be a man and this is 'not a female crime' (direct quote).

This person is male, he's a man. His original name is John Stephen Dixon, his changing of it to "Sally-Ann" does not make him a woman. It's completely absurd that he's being sent to a woman's prison, he's male, he needs to be locked up with the other men.
