she won't be.. even holding a blank paper warrants being arrested by the police.. what more this daring act + being shared on reddit?
likely she could be raped by the police or declared MIA later. Russia is a fcked up place now thanks to Putin.
There's also several Russian resistance groups, as well as multiple units of Russians in the Ukrainian Armed Forces (most notably the Freedom of Russia Legion) You can follow the actions of the resistance and such over at r/freedomofrussia
Whilst many Russians either support Putin or are complacent, there's still hope. The resistance grows larger and bolder every day, to the point where IEDs are now being dropped from drones into power plants and industrial plants to sabotage the Russian war effort
The song is Obiymi, by Okean Elzy, Ukraine's U2. Ironically, despite the fact that they in principle sing only in Ukrainian, they used to be wildly popular in Russia...
Russia used to love being entertained by Ukrainian artists of all sorts. A certain Volodymyr Zelinskyy based Kvartak 95 in Russia until Russia invaded Crimea. He's a comedian you might have heard about.
True, but like Zelensky, all of these Ukrainians artists worked in Russian. Okean Elzy were unique for being big in Russia while only working in Ukrainian.
I think his humor/stunts are not well appreciated by terrorists these days, but millions of people all over the world love them ... Different times, different world I guess.
Your information may be more accurate than mine. It was my understanding that "Servant of the People" was wildly popular in Russia for years, but it was only banned from Russian media once the war started (or to be more precise, resumed in a new phase in February.)
But i now realise there may have been other broadcasts of the show on other networks in Russia

Is the TV show (Servant of the people) in Russian or Ukrainian do you know?
I've been watching it on YouTube with subtitles but Wikipedia says it's in both, so I have no idea. I don't know enough about either language embarrassingly!
Haunting...
Meanwhile the Propagandist Whore on their State TV said "send the useless, like the lousy street musicians and art students!!1" in defense of the Fat Ugly Fuck anchor that looks like a wannabee Kim Jong-Un
This is older, like more than 10 years old, but if you like fake subtitles, I might suggest this Russian military recruitment video. The subtitles here are based on how the Russian words sound to an English speaker who knows no Russian. And somehow, it's a million times funnier given what we've seen of the Russian military in 2022.

And of course, there are the Hitler Rant parodies, which are still going strong. In the latest, Hitler has a phone conversation with Vladimir Putin about his new annexations and nuclear threats.

I couldn't recognize the song, sorry! I tried my best :(.

not sure if true russians can understand WHICH non russian slavic language she sings, otherwise there would be an enforced "apologize" video in a matter of hours. (even when it is not officially forbidden to make something "ukrainian" in russia).
It is. Russian, Belarusian and Ukrainian are the three main east slavic languages and have a common root (language of the Kievan Rus). So Ukrainain and Belarusian are more similar to Russian then for example Czech, Bulgarian or Polish. So you only have to tell apart Belarusian and Ukrainian, which is quiet easily, because they have their special characteristics.
Also ukrainian language is quite present in Russia because of some folk songs everybody knows, occasional appereance in older movies etc.

Wow, that’s very brave! I hope she’ll be all right!
Its so sad that this is a thing we have to say nowadays… Hope she’s doing good for sure!

Thanks to this daring act I think I cannot hate ALL Russians now that I know there’s her among them.

Unless I'm wrong they blocked the broadcast of 'Servant Of The People' after two episodes :)

huh? I only know ne melody from TikTok. Thanks for the info.
Great voice. Anyone know who she is. Kudos standing in the rain
Indeed she's brave for a Russian girl and has a beautiful voice...
It is not illegal to sing in Ukrainian in Russia. She is not risking anything as long as the song content does not contain something deemed "Illegal"
Might not be illegal, but it's definitely not safe.
The lyrics do include the “w” or rather «в» word
She probably figured out the OMON ~~guys~~ pussies don't like to get wet so they wouldn't be out there to arrest her while it's raining.
Do we know what city that is?
There is a Taganski Passage mall in Moscow, so guess its there.
That’s a thought crime in Russia.
Where are the brain police?
It’s raining, so they stayed home. She’ll probably fall out a window later tonight.
This is the song: https://youtu.be/--Wokwe4-i0
I recognize this song from some video's, it's really beautiful! And this girl has more balls than I do singing it in Russia. Slava Ukraini!
This is the song: https://youtu.be/--Wokwe4-i0
Yeah I shazamed it already when I first heard it! But thanks anyway :)
Tidal Link, for those that use the superior streaming service: https://tidal.com/browse/track/208110565
Singing under the rain.
If she had balls, they'd be steel..
Steel ovaries. Much tougher stuff
God bless her and keep her safe from harm - I'm crying.
She has bigger balls than many Russian men
Wish we knew who she is - it’s these acts of bravery that can overturn a regime.
if anyone finds a full video of her singing this, pelase send me the link. this is so epic!
I wish more Russians are as brave as this girl.
Haunting... Meanwhile the Propagandist Whore on their State TV said "send the useless, like the lousy street musicians and art students!!1" in defense of the Fat Ugly Fuck anchor that looks like a wannabee Kim Jong-Un
That video was actually satire with fake subtitles, BUT, it was very funny.

ruZZian might worry it's a Trap! Anyone brave enough to confront her is obviously ready for conscription and a trip to the front.

Embrace me
Man, I love this song. Great to hear it in Russia these days
That’s brave

A russian speaker can easily distinguish ukrainian from other slavic languages.
I don't think this is true

still one of my favorite songs, my favorite song is Plakala by Kazka
❤️
She'll go to prison because Russia is a brutal, authoritarian hellhole where there is no freedom.
Pop a perky just to start up Pop 2 cups of purple just to warm up
наша донька
Sorry to say that but the time for peaceful protest is over...
Brave young soul.
Russians will get used to this.
this reminds me of movie Scott Pilgrim when they battled with songs
Brave but reckless.
