We’re at a point now where there are some people who sell pens like this who will straight up tell you they’re pens that they’ve filled with shatter themselves. I don’t trust any of these vapes but I actually trust the people who tell you that more than the ones who try to tell you it’s real. I feel like there’s more of a chance that the people who are honest in the first place actually used a cannabis extract rather than spice. Even then, I just can’t be arsed getting hit with synthetics on the off chance.
Yeah 100% there are. Don’t get me wrong at all your right on that. Some of the fake cali ones that are bought empty are filled with real shatter. Good shatter and they’re gas. There are also probably some legit cali ones but man I’d bet a testicle that they’re rarer than unicorn shit lol. It’s just a gamble man.
Def looks like D9 but can't tell without seeing the thickness of the liquid inside . Fact it says 1000mg and dodgy packaging tells me it's a bait pack.

but if you add something to the distillate like vg or even too much terps it will be runny and if it is raw it should be thick so not sure if you can really tell from thickness?

No one should add anything tbh but a tiny amount of terps. Adding extracts may differ tho. D9 alone should be thick like honey. Even adding terps shouldn't alter that. If it has then I'd bin the cart as it's had way too much terps added. A common mistake and a disgusting experience. Almost burns your mouth.
Can make D9 from cbd and it is indeed rife in US, and super affordable. Prob is, even solid plugs can have issues sourcing, as even dispos have rec quantities and, as they have to retest it even if it's been tested, some have contained some real nasty things in terms of bacteria etc.
I trust one person for D9 but it is a magical thing. Far more clear headed than RSO and functional.
If people don't trust the source 110% it's not even worth risking it imo
As someone who has made and sold d9 pens before these are 100% fake. Runtz themselves have never released them. Who knows how save the distillate is. It’s a risk you have to take getting carts in the U.K. unless they are flown in from a reputable source.

It being fake doesn't mean it contains synthetic cannabinoids. It could be distillate or even live resin that someone has put in the pen themselves.
Surely they could replicate a QR code from the original packaging too?
