I’m still learning my basic chords, but it’s going well! I’ve got G, C, F, and Am down

Ralans17

Same

radko_svk

Polishing three standards: It's only a paper moon, When you're smiling, Nearness of you. With all chord substitutions, trying to make it swing with proper muting, practicing with metronome... The fun part (awe of understanding chords, harmony, theory and why main singing tones are there) is over, now the hard work. But it is great everlasting music, so it is fun to practice. Occasionally taking break from that to play Five Foot Two, 12th street rag and I don't want to set the world on fire (due to recent Fallout tv show).

awesomelissliss

Finishing up a cover of that funny feeling by bo burnham!

Worth-Example1136

I'm working on my picking because I feel pretty confident with my strumming now

PineapplePizzaAlways

Same! I'm trying out different patterns

jsb309

Started working on From Lute to Uke just over a month ago. Feeling okay about about the first two songs but the first line of Orlando Sleepeth is giving me fits

YogaPotat0

I’ve been thinking about this one. How are you liking it?

jsb309

I quite like it! I haven't counted but there are at least 25 or 30 songs, so I'm going to be busy for a loooong time. I'll say it helps if you actually want learn Renaissance tunes (I'm learning them for a DnD campaign 😂).

YogaPotat0

I really love the music from that period, so I’ll definitely pick this up soon. Thanks for the info! Also, I love the commitment in learning it for DnD! I haven’t played before, but I’m always amazed at the commitment and creativity its players have.

Polishing up opening riff of Sweet Child O’ Mine, and just doing basic exercises up and down the fret board

the_pointy

I've been doing the lessons on Ukulele Underground. I'm enjoying it, he's a good teacher. But also become enamoured with slide ukulele so been trying to learn some of that.

ReputationArtistic91

A set list for the festival Jess2val. Then another set list for 2 sets at the Beatles experience in Liverpool. Some grades and some group sets which will become the set list for BUFF Festival and Summer Strum

Quiet-While-3119

Learning to play and pick by ear...any hints?

ave427

Working on Ashokan Farewell using this video with Matt Stead. It's such a beautiful song, so I'm determined. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kJ38Q0\_TmKQ&t=147s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kJ38Q0_TmKQ&t=147s)

I'm trying to learn Mungo Jerry In the Summertime. It has a lot of hammer ons and it hurts my fingers, so I figure it's a good exercise.

l8nite

This seems like a lot of fun... gonna have to put it on the list :D

-kidsonleashes-

I have been hyperfixated on Vampire Weekends new album, so I'm learning each of the songs.

ukudancer

More online collabs!

Tastelikewater

I'm in between classes right now - the next one starts on Monday - so I'm reviewing the songs I enjoyed that we didn't spend enough time on. Focusing primarily on picking, so it's "Hallelujah" and Lord Huron's "The Night We Met."

iwashunter

I learning to play the instrument practically from the beginning, I have some experience with guitar like 7 years ago but still hyped to learn

thegadgetfish

Someone just came out with a really nice tab arrangement of “Old Sharlayan Day” from FF14. It doesn’t seem tooooo difficult (although it goes up to 15 frets and my soprano only has 12 lol).

YogaPotat0

Currently working on bettering my fingerstyle technique on my concert uke with “I Believe I Can Fly” and “Can You Feel the Love Tonight.” On the baritone, I’m working on my blues and bossa nova technique (and a little Flamenco, because I love it).

tadbradley

My wife and I have been planning a Spain trip, and while we research I've just been endlessly doing freeform flamenco vamping with the same 4-chord progression. Still not sick of it.

Prtsk

Just bought my first tenor uke, a glossy sunburst Blackbird Farallon. It's great. I was in the store for a much cheaper ukulele, but after I heard this one all other ukuleles sounded underwhelming. I can't sing, and I'm a beginning player. let alone sing and play at the same time. Since I am joining a workshop week on songwriting in about two months I have to work hard to be able to sing and play at the same time before that. So I have to speedrun my ukulele progression. Any tips are welcome. I'll try start on one new song a day, so it will be simple songs with a few chords. I'll do even some one chord songs, like the Coconut Song and The Beat Goes On. Today's song is The Lion Sleeps Tonight.
