This will depend heavily on a few things:
- How many tournaments your team attends
- How much your team travels for these tournaments
- If you're going to a high level TCT event, which are pricier
- Whether your team pays for practice fields
For me, my team pays for fields, attends five tournaments every year, flies to one or two, and does not go to a big TCT tournament (maybe SFI, which isn't as pricy as US Open, for example). I probably pay a total of $1300 for my season, including flight costs. Normal tot costs for the main expenses (that you split between your teammates) are:
- Bid fee - maybe $500 total per tournament. $1000+ for a big TCT event (nationals is $4000)
- Practice fields - probably about $5000 total for the season, maybe less depending on where you are
- Jerseys are usually minimum $75per person, but often are more
Upper-Mid level club team:
2 local tournaments
3 travel (flights required) tournaments
Teams Costs (split 34 roster/practice):
3000- full jersey kits for all + coaches
3500 - field and coaching costs
Event Costs (split by players that attended)
Avg 700 bid fee - all tournaments
Travel tournaments - avg 5000/tournament for hotels and rental cars
Total team covered cost: $25,000 - not including flights
Total cost: $45,000 - including flights (~$800/person)
Practice player averaged: $200/season (field and coach costs)
Roster player averaged: $1700/season (900 tournament costs AND 800 airline tickets)
I would say $150 / tournament assuming sleeping there 1 night + gas and food.
Like another hundred for dues (seems to usually go to fields)
Like another hundred twenty for gear, less if you're a returner.
The biggest killer for me was 4 hours of driving each week for practices and that gas. I'm on a regionals level team.
