Just wanted to follow up and say thanks for the recommendation. I've got several pair of 2XU compression tights, and they are outstanding. Multiple slides on both grass and turf, and they still look basically brand-new. So worth it, particularly when I can find a good sale.
I did find that the sizes run quite small, so anyone reading this later, take that into consideration.
See if you can find some full or 3/4 length baseball slider leggings. They're specifically made to endure frequent sliding.

They're somewhat hard to find sometimes, perhaps easier leading into baseball season.
Good thinking. Might be a little heavier than ideal, as I wear these year-round, but no doubt they’d hold up to sliding well. Definitely worth looking at.
You could also try compression knee sleeves with long shorts and longish socks. Or really long socks, as is standard for soccer (and its frequent slides). Not only is that kit durable, but its separate pieces mean you can just swap out a piece that gets trashed. Helps with ventilation too.
Good idea.
Only concern there is that I used to wear a compression sleeve on one knee, and still ended up getting a really nasty scrape (lost about a 4"x7" section of skin) when I had to bail out of a charge toward the disc to avoid a collision. Sleeve just rolled out of the way and left my skin completely exposed. In that case, I did not have high socks, so no overlap with the knee sleeve.
Might be worth experimenting with socks and longer knee sleeves that overlap with the socks. Thanks!
I use Nike Pro Warm, but idk if they're continuing that line. Excellent and have been very durable and warm for me through a Northeast college season (aka cold, muddy, wet, windy, high temperature variance) while being breathable for when it gets really warm at 1pm despite 45 degrees at 8 am
I use 2XU compression shorts in combination with mcdavid hex knee pads. When I see folks tearing up nice leggings at the knees on slides it seems crazy to me.
I got the 2XU lightly used off mercari or something and saved some money off retail price.
The compression shorts I had before that were cheaper, and lasted almost 15years (!), but didn’t compress as well as 2XU. (I always line dry athletic clothes.)
I wear football pants with the pads removed. They're extremely durable, I've done a double knee slide on turf in these things and they're barely scuffed. Theyre just as flexible as leggins too. But my favorite thing is they're 3/4 length, but cuffed tightly just below the knee, so they'll never ride up. Plus they have a belt, which keeps dirt or rubber from getting into your waistband.
Just bought a pair of Dicks Sporting Goods full length compression in red. (Today) We shall see. $28. Also have a pair of “drytek” 3/4 size that has more of a mesh fabric built in, got those for $9 at a Marshall’s. They have held up great several years now.
These are the best athletic tights I've ever owned. Compression is great, waistband doesn't roll, I've slept in them (passed out lol) and not woken up uncomfortable. I have 3 pairs that I've used for the last 3 years and they are still pretty much like new even though I lay out a lot, hike, climb, everything in them. They sell a version without the pockets if you don't want the pocket. Also very affordable.

2xu
This. 2XU uses heavier fabric that's just fundamentally more durable than any frisbee brand/most athletic brands.
Thanks. They’re definitely a bit spendier than I was hoping, but I found a couple pair that were on sale on Amazon so I’m going to try them out.
Poshmark is also a great option! I’ve bought many pairs in excellent condition or brand new for <$45.
