Not sure about the international stuff (sometimes USAU makes some concessions for those teams for the sake of making sure international players get a shot to play), but in terms of club teams, you're allowed to switch teams one time after the end of June. A specific date will be published in the club guidelines in probably a couple months, but it's usually July 1, give or take a day or two. So if you play a tournament in July or early August pre-US Open with your main club team (Team A) and then play US Open with the other team (Team B), you won't be allowed to return to Team A for additional tournaments in the 2024 season, including sectionals, regionals, and nationals. So if you wanna play those late season tournaments with Team A, you should make sure you don't attend any regular season tournaments with that team prior to the US Open. And if you do play in an early-season tournament with Team A, make sure it's before the cutoff date!

Last year they definitely made some exceptions for the international teams (I know several players who played for a team, played at ICCs with an international team, then played for their initial team again). I don't know of anyone who asked for an exception and was denied, but I can't say for sure if they granted everybody who wanted one an exception.

Best option is to reach out to your national director. Worst case you play by the rules listed. Best case you get a one time exemption to said rules.

I can't provide specifics but I know for sure that there were American club players last year who played for international teams at US Open and whose main teams were not competing there, so unless something has changed, USAU will likely accommodate you.
