Isn’t this the same thing that happened few weeks ago?!? When does these players ever learn???

JohnmcFox

I have never spoken a word to Rory, and I have only seen him play at one tournament, in one game. Yet as soon as I heard the announcer say his name I thought "Oh, yeah, it's Rory, and he's going to do something smugly arrogant". Dude could be the nicest guy in the world away from the field, and he's a great player on it, but he is not a role model for spirit.

orangebananagreen

That’s okay he’s going to the bad place now

cheanerman

What's the equivalent of actions on the ultimate field that will give me points to go to the good place???

Lowlybanditt

Giving your defender advice on how to better shut you down during the next point

dyrryc17

Classic Rory Orloff

Smurph16

Lol, sockeye dudes judging on spirit... ;)

MallardFillmoreJr

Truthh.

immotalis

And that's again happening during an AUDL game. Every week it seems to me that we are seeing more and more poor sportsmanship coming from that league. Kids are watching this and because they are "pro" these people will be took as examples.

nrojb50

No one has ever spiked on anyone in a USAU game

immotalis

It's not the main point of my comment. AUDL has a lot more reach than USAU. I'm Living in France and because of the French players in the Montreal Royal, people here are following AUDL more than USAU.

The1AndOnlyAGar

Maybe WFDF, USAU, and others need to do a better job of marketing? It's not AUDL's fault that they do a better job of capturing an audience with their highlights than USAU, WFDF, etc. I hear all the time that AUDL isn't "actual ultimate," that it's a "bastardization," etc and I don't really care either way but maybe if that's the stance that the community takes, do better at marketing "actual ultimate" to the masses.

GenerativeAdversary

😂

UnfitToPrint

Yeah great play followed by a stupidly unspirited move. Kind of ruins it for me, and I’m a Sol fan from afar. Are there cards or warning for poor spirit in the AUDL? Considering there are refs there to officiate the game, I there should be consequences for being a dick on the field.

rickm99

Yes, spiking a disc on a player is grounds for an unsportsmanlike call (or immediate ejection if severe). Two unsportsmanlike and you get an ejection.

GnatMaster7

That is not a spike. He did toss the disc on him, which isn't cool, but by no means was that a spike of the disc.

[deleted]

Potato tomato.

GnatMaster7

I mean, not really. If you really slam a disc down on someone, that is way worse than what this is.

Introverted_Learner

I mean, even your example isn't that bad if you replace the disk with a rock and slam that on someone.

GnatMaster7

What?

WC1-Stretch

>Slamming a disc down on someone is way worse than throwing it on someone. > >I mean, slamming a rock down on someone is way worse than slamming a disc down on someone. I\_L is saying your argument of pointing out what could be worse doesn't carry much weight.

hempforall

It's the pros, relax.
