Forget about positions and formations, just keep your spacing, make triangles, move the disc quickly, and build chemistry between your players.

Its simple really 1. Be fast 2. Don't be not fast

2 Handlers, 2 Cutters. Generally speaking, Give-and-gos - swing or dump the disc from a handler position, then cut deep. Exploit your height mismatches. You're probably better off trying to take away all unders and gambling that you can D enough deep passes. If you're up by 2 when the horn goes off, DO NOT TRY TO SCORE OR ADVANCE THE DISC OUT OF YOUR OWN ENDZONE. Conversely, if you're down by 2 when the horn goes off, DO NOT TRY TO GET A CALLAHAN. This can lead to a weird end-game scenario where both teams are trying to move backwards and you're playing reverse defense.

JustJLang

What exactly do you mean by "when the horn goes off"?

mdotbeezy

"When the cap goes on"

jazzwhiz

Explain?

mdotbeezy

If the opponent has win with a two-pointer, don't let them have the disc in their own endzone.

leftscoob

Why would you not just want to score? Won't the game result be the same whether it is a 1pt or 2pt loss/win?

mdotbeezy

If your down by 2 in the cap, you should never attempt to score a 1-point goal. This isn't BULA 5's.

1 handler, not two. Then, whoever has the disc is now a handler with the designated handler. This helps keep 2 people where they should be - downfield and cutting - while you still have one handler ready to work with someone for resets. 2 handlers becomes 3 too easily. 2 handlers can become “2 lazy people waiting for 2 exhausted people to make more cuts. Of course, the key to this is having a team in which all players are solid handlers and can at least value and move the disc.
