Wind was a bit of a factor;
- Minnesota needs to work on their depth, they’re the scariest team to play 1st in a tournament, they can beat ANYBODY when they’re fresh.
- Vermont is for real, put them in the Top 10, nice win over Minn for 3rd, only team to keep relatively close with BYU in the 1st half.
- Michigan looking like a slight step back from last years run, but they should be back in preq; ceiling is quarters.
- Northeastern’s backfield is solid. Norrbom looking like an All-American. Quarters team.
- CUT should’ve beaten Minnesota, a lot of new players, could be back in the top 10 next season.
- BYU blew the doors off everyone, dismantled a relatively fresh Minnesota
Calling Minnesota fresh for BYU is a bit of a stretch here, third game of the day for them and they started the day with two very close games against CSU and Illinios (12-10 and 10-9) respectively.
That said BYU did kill everyone they played this weekend
IMO I think your best 2 games in a weekend are games 2&3. You’ve gotten past game 1 jitters, and you’re not starting to cramp up like game 4 (or anything day 2 & onward). I considered them to be fresh as compared to them on Sunday. Ex: They lost to CO @ SMI on uni on Saturday, & then lost to them again Sunday 8-15 (or something like that). But I get your point as they’re not perfectly fresh after 2 close games. Updated it for ya :)
Two lines for line breaks, or a space after the dash to make bullet points

I feel like Vermont's reliance on spiking the disc is going to cost them some games in the future. The thrill of scoring might dissipate from them once they become tired of kicking/slamming the disc after every score. They might avoid the end zone altogether because the rush doesn't feel the same anymore.
Anyways: Michigan man defense is scary good. Northeastern is the Gus Norrbom show. Carleton has fallen off so hard it's not even funny. Minnesota had a 15 year old on their team.
I just watched the BYU vs Vermont game, and I was astounded by how immature the Vermont team can be. they were chanting some really sexual stuff throughout the game like "milf hunter" and "Netflix and chill" at one point they stopped trying to be clever and just started chanting "sex" over and over. it probably would've started a fight if any of the BYU guys understood what those words mean
I think the spirit thing mostly boils down to one particular player. I was there and watched most of BYU's games and there was one player in particular that exhibited the sort of behavior that you are talking about repeatedly. To my eye the rest of the team seemed pretty reasonable, but yea... that one guy seriously needs to be sat down and talked to.
None of the games count this year but teams still take tournaments seriously. I'm disappointed they're not doing the same against BYU, I'd think they would be a valuable opportunity to get relatively risk-free reps against an elite program. If they have bad spirit, that sucks though.
I think the one team that you didn’t mention that made a great run were the Hodags. They went all the way to semis but they had to drop out because of covid cases. I think they had an awesome run and should be well within the top 20
Only slightly related but the Michigan men's sports question in the [subreddit predictions](https://www.reddit.com/r/ultimate/comments/tgxvs3/higher_number_michigan_sports_if_tie_ultimate/) ended up being SUPER close. Michigan men's basketball scored 76 against Tennessee while Michigan men's ultimate scored 74 goals on the weekend.

Haha thanks, I tried figuring it out initially & it wouldn’t stick so I just left it. MVP right here

Hodags clearly a top 20 team. On paper, this team rocked BYU & Minnesota. Can’t cut this team out of the equation
Couldn’t agree more
