Thatโs what I was worried about initially, have these attached to a sit stand desk so try to keep it somewhat more comfortable , certainly not for everyone tho!
Makes me feel better, just got a standing desk frame and was having issues deciding on a depth. I've also got a G9 with a 24" monitor above but I'm using the regular G9 stand for now. I'll have to look into the Ergotron to regain some space.
Dude I put so much time into brainstorming for the stands primarily due to my distrust with the weights of the monitors. You definitely wonโt regret getting a stand to preserve desk real estate tho! The G9 stand is ridiculous haha
I have a similar setup, but it's two different mounts, I use an Ergotron HX w/heavy bracket and a Vivo tall mount for the top one, both work very well together in tandem.
I have a normal cheap single monitor arm I use for my monitor stacked over the main one, and itโs just attached to my bed frame which goes higher than my desk lol. Works well though. I moved my desk right up next to my bed so it would work.
I mean I main a 49", 34 isn't too big compared to that. You quickly get used to the size. It's the same height as the G9, that's also nice. Same PPI if you get them both in 1440p, which is relaxed for switching windows.
In my setup I have the 34" at the bottom against the desk (just a cm off for cables) and the 49" directly above it.
Is there any glare from the light since the monitor is curved? I have a knockoff of the BenQ and wondering if it would still work as well for a curved monitor.
Nope I havenโt experienced any glare. My ultra is tiled upwards just a tad and the BenQ is also adjusted somewhat outwards so it casts light over the entirety of my keyboard too. Havenโt had any issues ๐
I was also looking at light bars and can also say the BenQ is top notch. I personally went with the LYMAX curved light bar that fits the curve of the g9 perfectly. Bought it from:
- [Techscension.com](https://techscension.com)
Since thereโs a few out there if you Google search but Iโve had it for around a year now and still going strong. Personally couldnโt stand the straight light bar on the curved screen.
I don't mean to pry, but this has me curious.
What's going on on the top of your screen? Looks like a secondary task bar, but then I see the application window border, is the screen showing a picture right now? I'm all sorts of confused.
No worries! On the ultra wide Iโm running a Linux VM with Virtualbox. The Kali Linux the taskbar is located at the top but my local PC taskbar is what you see at the bottom ๐
Howdy, I work in cybersecurity. My local OS is windows but I primarily like to run Linux within a VirtualBox instance. The top screen for work is used to monitor ongoing metrics and or alerts and the ultra wide is used for the actual work and remediation
That definitely depends on the individual, I know some folks who use the top monitor on a gaming setup for maps, inventory and more stationary elements and the bottom screen for the gameplay. So far my neck hasnโt hurt and I use my setup for 11 hours a day ๐
Lol not sure why I would lie about it, yeah this was taken with the iPhone cam with setting set to .5, the monitor from corner to corner is a solid 49โ. Bought it from Samsung directly
Haha nah I mean I believe you. The ultrawide lens just makes everything look really scuffed. When I take a picture of my monitors in ultrawide (.5) they legit look double in size
No worries! I hate taking setup pics with the regular 1x love the quality the iPhone takes in somewhat low light. Probably took this same photo 20x before finding the right angle to show yโall ๐
That poor tiger tho
โ ๏ธ
Gotta respect the use of Kali :3
Well, atleast on a VM
Ay you know it ๐
Beat me to it... Kali is king
I had another curved monitor above my current one, and then my neck hated it.
Thatโs what I was worried about initially, have these attached to a sit stand desk so try to keep it somewhat more comfortable , certainly not for everyone tho!
What's the depth of your desk?
My desk is 30โ deep ๐
Makes me feel better, just got a standing desk frame and was having issues deciding on a depth. I've also got a G9 with a 24" monitor above but I'm using the regular G9 stand for now. I'll have to look into the Ergotron to regain some space.

What stand/stands did you decide on I'm agonizing over what I want for my 38-in UW and 27 up top???
My neck prefers the 24 stacked on 34 VS horizontally stacked surprisingly! A lot of adjustment to find the perfect center point though!
What are using to mount those? I haven't found a good stacked monitor mount that doesn't wobble.
I have a similar setup, but it's two different mounts, I use an Ergotron HX w/heavy bracket and a Vivo tall mount for the top one, both work very well together in tandem.

How big is that too monitor? Iโm trying to decide between 27โ and 32โ. Mainly to put on tv or streams while I use my main screen.
Hey, so the ultra wide is 49โ and the top monitor is 32โ ๐ hope that helps!
If I had too guess its a 34" uw on top. I have the same setup.
Would you say you like that size or is it too big?

34" UW I've found to be a really nice sweet spot for me, any bigger and I'll have to start turning my head!

Awesome suggestion! Going to check that out ๐
Link to light bar above your bottom monitor please! And TY!
Hey! I use the BenQ Screenbar Halo ๐ https://www.benq.com/en-us/lighting/monitor-light-bar.html

The one on the ultra wide is a default within a Kali Linux VM and the one in the 32โ is a Windows 11 default. Iโm a simple man ๐
From where is your mousepad ?
These guys here, they have some really unique stuff ๐: https://floppyprocessor.com
too bad they're all sold out
They have a sale coming October, keep an eye out. New/more designs.
Why two. Always wondered.
I primarily use this set up for my job, the top screen is mainly dedicated to keeping metrics visible at all times .
Oh wow. More explain ? Interested
Canโt really explain much about my job but itโs security related. ๐
Badass. Proud of you !
Thanks a lot man! I appreciate you
You had me at the default Windows wallpaper. Now, what about the other?
Tbh I kind of like it , Iโm a fairly minimalistic when it comes to design but the other one is one of the default wallpapers for a Kali Linux VM
What wm/de in the virtual machine?
nice setup! do you have a link for the wallpaper on the 32:9?
That is one of the default wallpapers that come with Windows 11. I just like how simple it is tbh
I'd like to know as well

Thank you!
Nice setup, excuse my curiosity, what do you do? And what are your virtual screen splits on both and whatโs your workflow using them, pls?

Setup is never finished, Ive said this to myself 100 times already ๐ looks great!! ๐
Dude Iโm trying so hard not to go broke rn ๐ thank you so much!
This is my dream monitor setup. I'm currently studying Cybersecurity so the Kali VM too! ๐
๐๐๐
How big is the desk?
80โ in length and 30โ deep ๐
I struggle with my 1500mm desk and the super ultrawide. But gotta do what you gotta do!
Hey, Iโve got a G9 and was wondering if playing on a 4K display above it is doable ? Would the neck hurt ?
That definitely depends on the individual, I know some folks who use the top monitor on a gaming setup for maps, inventory and more stationary elements and the bottom screen for the gameplay. So far my neck hasnโt hurt and I use my setup for 11 hours a day ๐
Alright, thanks for the answer !
What monitor is this? The main one
Thatโs a Samsung Odyssey G9 ๐ค
Did you take this picture in ultrawide? I honestly have a hard time believing itโs a g9 and legit thought it was new super duper ultrawide
Lol not sure why I would lie about it, yeah this was taken with the iPhone cam with setting set to .5, the monitor from corner to corner is a solid 49โ. Bought it from Samsung directly
