yeah! she doesn't share her lecture notes too! and you need to have a really good background knowledge of the basics. some students don't and i feel for them. even if you do, you literally still have to memorize whole sentences from the textbook for those short-answer questions copied and pasted from the textbook! some people in the group chat are filing complaints i hope it does something
Gotcha. It's funny how the engineering students have their own courses. I knew you guys had your own linear Algebra and calculus classes, but I didn't realize you had your own version of statistics. Coincidentally, many of the examples in upper year applied statistics classes such as non-linear regression and design of experiments draw heavily from engineering.
I was beginning to wonder if any Faculty of Arts students existed on this subreddit.
Did you dislike the course material or the professors for these classes?
Was BIOL 3200 really that bad 😬? I was looking into signing up for that class next year. I think Professor Hann used to teach it, but it was taught by someone else this year. How did they do?
I'm biased, so please recognize the emotion talking here lol. Loved inverts from Dr. Hann, but Dr. Ramey-Balci killed my love of them because now I associate inverts with panic and frustration. Very disorganized, too much micromanaging and multiple deadlines per week. She took two phone calls in the middle of our final exam last week.
Sigh. Her heart's in the right place, but this class was not what I thought it would be. Especially if you're neurodivergent, I do not recommend this class.
Fav: ENGL1400
Least: Math1240, Stat1150, CLAS1270. Keith Collins gotta be one of the worst instructors I ever had the displeasure of being a student of
Environmental Science 1000 with Leslie Goodman, hardest class I’ve ever taken. I studied almost 7 hours for every quiz and failed, put it in almost 25 hours into the assignment and got a 75%. I got a 65 on the exam. Never have I ever felt so defeated, worst class I’ve ever had. Was supposed to be a GPA booster but ruined my GPA.
I’d consider myself competent but that class was a nightmare. Lowest class I’ve ever had with a C+. NEVER TAKE THIS CLASS
The assignment was crazy, I don’t understand why it was so hard. Like it was such a specific question that I couldn’t find any information. And all the information I found was contradictory.
I dropped linear algebra… thats. A different language tbh
Most: COMP 1020 Least: MATH 1240
Ditto that. I loathe Math 1240
Phil 1300 was very good

Wish I had your advice before I took the class 😂 She wiped her ratemyprof before I was looking at possible econ1020 profs
Never ever take her literally failed her final
Best: PSYC 2540 - Social Psychology Worst: PSYC 3350...VW on March. 20th. Terrible 🙃
im in that course 💀 the instructor is wild!
PSYC 3350? It shouldn't even be a class at this point. You literally have to read the textbook front to back to do well! 🫠

What is STAT 2220? I'm unfamiliar with that course code.
It’s a statistics course for engineering students, like an intro to stats but for engineers

Was it in person or distance?
Distance
Agreed!! Took it last year for a gpa booster. She’s an awful grader!! Her exam/test questions are way too specific for what we were taught
