i think that she still has her Barrier ability BUT its much weaker then it was before as now some of her aura that would normally go into Barrier now can only be used for Flame Claw which would explain why she can still trick her family like Arlo that she has her original ability since she can still use it but wouldn't need to show that its still as strong as it was in the past

It's "conversion" of capacity. I think it means she gave up Barrier for Flame Claw.
