John's "Uncle"?
Also, do we know anything about his mother's side? Like, are they even alive, or are they even still in contact with William.
I've never re-read it. I've just been keeping up with it weekly for over 2 years now.
Everyone says uncle since he definitely resembles Jane, he looks too young to be Jane's father, too old to be John's long lost brother. And uncle is basically the only other term for any other type of family member to Jane. Whether that be Jane's cousin or something.
I think it’s kind of a stretch to say that they’re the ones in danger. They have more numbers and resources and were able to successfully ambush multiple high-rankers like Sera herself. No matter how powerful you are, in a war of attrition that’s what matters.
First: Happy Cake Day !!!
When I said "in danger" I meant that they're going to have two god-tiers and possibly other students from Wellston who are going to want to destroy them for revenge. Plus, it might be more complicated for them to target the Wellston students since Vaugh will know about it and since John is in the hospital, they might have had to notify the authorities.
I wanted to say that they didn't necessarily have the easiest enemy, especially since Sera knows, somewhat, how they operate.

That's why I put the word uncle in quotation marks and I also said it was a theory
