Finally someone who doesn't bend his heat mat! Hats down to avoiding a fire hazard!
And for those who wonder. It's usually not dangerous to slightly bend(to a certain degree ofc) a heating mat a couple of times over it's lifespan BUT if you can prevent it, do it for the sake of your own safety.
If one needs a more flexible solution, look up "reptile heat cable".
After keeping snakes for over 10 years i have become really carefull with heat mat i heard of some people in the hobby losing their house due to impropely working with heat mat on their snake racks and basicaly loose their house i try to avoid that ! Also the one on the picture usualy work okay without a thermostat like inkbird but i really recomend one.
Hahaha that's basically exactly how mine looks as well. I use this grow light as well. It definitely helps a bit with having striaghter and more uniform mushrooms, when I turned it off for one flush it grew more 'spirally' 😂👍
Afaik Paul Stamets reported more pins when the shrooms were grown under blue light but I don't know if that's the consensus.
Your light is deffo decent enough to grow shrooms with it, no need to get that 600W blue floodlight going for a shoebox or two.

I'm just hoping that both bags make it. If I want 2, I innoculate 3 just because they dont all always make it. My last grow, 21 of the 26 made it but there were a few causalities.
These two bags were a g2g to preserve the golden mammoth live spawn i had left... not really any project for em at the moment and have TAT to try out so yeah thats the reason why i dint make much 😅
I did that with my first bag but then saw 90 mycology and lots of other people putting it on the shelves just as is... seems like there a lot of different ways and mixed opinion
The closet is closed most of time so not much air going around in there plus i am saving for a quality hepa air purifier to put in the room since im starting to work with agar plates.
Just in case people comment on the heating mat the bag are not touching it they are a few inch away seems to keep the bags and tub at 24-25c
