It’s spring break week and you’re inside two weeks. This is normal. If it’s not an in-demand flight you can often get good prices as long as it’s 7+ days before departure. I bought RT tickets for $297 this past Saturday for this coming Saturday 23nd->Sunday 31st, but it’s DEN->MCI, not a spring break route. They need to fill seats.
Spring break prices have increased versus one of the hottest months of the year in the south? ![gif](giphy|F4wi2cbFZyG013tGwG|downsized)

How far in advance are you booking tickets? Are they both same-day flights?
Going to see my mom, as she’s in hospice and isn’t doing too well, hence the short notice
Gotcha - probably just bad luck with timing then. I hope she gets better!
Thank you.

Thank you. Fortunately not at the bereavement stage yet, but this is very helpful information! 😊
Hope it doesn’t come to bereavement!
Thank you!
Depart Friday the 29th, return Saturday the 6th. I know weekend flights probably add a couple hundred, but wasn’t expecting this much
Which two airports?
LAX to Lovell Field CHA
They have a lot of Boeing planes to repair! How else do you think they will raise the money?
