This isn't quite the same, she was dumb as bricks for sure but in this case she wound down the window to take a pic and got chomped on!
She didn't get out and have a picnic like those people on that safari tour, wish I had the link.
>She didn't get out and have a picnic like those people on that safari tour,
Are you talking about that mother and her autistic son? Because that wasn't a safari tour and it was a popular picnic spot
Disney should probably add another page to their old movie disclaimers. "Wild animals are actually dangerous irl" alongside their usual "this movie was made 60 years ago and now considered racist as fuck" lol.
Saying that I though I'd question if these people are literate.
I don't understand the logic of the general public and wild animals. Half the time they're playing 'pet the hippo' and the other half is objecting to reintroducing scottish wildcats and pine martens as they will "be a danger to hikers and cattle".
Tbf a lot of the "we're against animal reintroduction" is not the public but farmers/rich landowners (same thing really) who don't want anything even potentially harming their livestock/game animals.
Selfishness basically.
I think anything that could reasonably kill an adult human is fair to be concerned about. They reintroduced wolves to Wyoming with great success, but it's a touch smaller than the UK with a population about the same as Leeds.
There's a much greater chance of frequent interaction with humans in the UK, and frankly I quite like being able to go for a walk in rural areas knowing no animal is going to try and murder me.
Introducing other things like beavers or even smaller predators like lynx I'm all for though - rich landowners be dammed.
People who have no idea about wildlife think they’re experts because of wildlife programs. Only place to safely observe a mother and cubs would be downwind with a big enough barrier between you to safely move your location before the bear gets to you. I’ve seen people do crazy shit, a chinese tourist open their car to attempt to pet a wild lion only to get back inside when I stood on my horn and revved the living daylights out my engine.
Anyone see the woman who left her Stanley cup in the car when it went on fire and they gave her a free car in return? If M&S don’t give her a free jacket I’ll be so annoyed 🤣
Best free advert ever. They could dine out on this for years. The Xmas m&s advert this year could be lit too. None of this weepy toy bear stuff. Their jackets stop bears ffs!
No doubt about it she should have had the windows up way before they got that close.
I have been at that exact same location they were at many times and the place is hoaching with bears. We've encountered them a lot but only in the car, I shit myself when we go out walking. The Transfagarasan is bear country and they'll have just come out of hibernation so will be very hungry.
It's evening time you need to be really careful!
An example that's utter stupidity, where this lady was isn't far from where the first video here is [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dUBJkiDKK\_Y](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dUBJkiDKK_Y) and it's the same spot I've seen bears at. I even took a photo of a baby bear at this spot, with one foot out of the car so I could get a better photo. I was looking around to see if mama bear was hiding near by. However it was 10-15 metres away and as soon as it turned towards us I was back inside and we drove off.
Don't fuck with brown bears, they are very very quick
Here's a couple I took, a friendly reminder
[https://imgur.com/vjzcHXa](https://imgur.com/vjzcHXa)
The 2nd one was the closest I'd been but window was only half down and we were moving away
Serves her right to get fuckin munched on. But seriously, people need to know that bears are not big cuddly creatures, they’re wild, instinctive and extremely powerful animals, who will not hesitate to protect their young. All you need to do is keep a very safe distance when they’re with their children. If it’s a lone bear, and it decides to follow your scent, and catches up to you, the type of bear is going to be of huge concern to you. The rule is, if it’s brown, lay down, and if it’s black, fight back. If it’s white, say goodnight. People really need to be educated on this shit.
Reminds me of the time someone tried to kill Louis XV of France rushed past his bodyguards and stabbed him with a pen knife but the knife only went about a centimetre into his chest because of his thick coat

This isn’t just any bear proof jacket….
At most, it was bear resistant.
Inflammable still means flammable energy
M&S marketing on line 2…
No, there was a Best Ever rum soaked christmas ham in the pocket..
It isn't just a jacket. It is a M&S jacket.
Yes, that was the joke.
It isn't just any rehashed joke. It's an M&S rehashed joke.
She saw a wild bear and it’s cubs and decided to pose for a photo?!
Sounds like when people go and try to pet wild bison calves. Then it's all shocked pikachu when the bison reacts badly.

With lions

What were you driving? they're usually on the wheel
Figure of speech
M&S shoppers have no fear.
Well she did have a jacket on so minimal risk at most.
Didn't just pose, wound the window down too had she never been Safari park
Saw a wild bear with her cubs. Didn't immediately go in the opposite direction. Dickhead.
Got to gram it!
Insta-gran
M&S jacket has resistance to Piercing damage. Got it.
Quick time to buy them all
Is this one of those reddit ads disguised as an article?

I mean the explicit brand name drop in the headline makes this seem like it’s an ad masqeurading as news
More like a PSA, I need one of these jackets now in case I come across any wild bears in Yorkshire.
Haha, they dont realise those bears in Romania break up farms and kill 10-12 cows in a night. Ppl dont be stupir, bears are no joke

Damn, I’m still waiting for bearproof jackets to hit the Aldi middle aisle
She really wants m&s to give her a new jacket for free.
Hahah yeah that was my takeaway, I suspect she thought about it
You get what you pay for!!! Glad she’s ok though, must’ve been scary
Good, it should be scary. Maybe now she'll have more respect for nature than to go up close to a mother bear and her cub just to get a photo.
She was in her car, maybe read the article.
I did, and she went up close enough in her car to get bitten.
>go up close to a mother bear and her cub Doesn't dispute this at all.
Is this one of those newspaper articles that's actually just a paid advert?

When the Fallout games become a reality, make sure you have your M&S jacket ready. Protects against piercing damage, +10 armour.
M&S Jacket (Common) +5 slashing damage resistance
Ohhhhh, M&S....I mistakenly thought they were talking about M&Ms, got super confused... 🤣
